AW, cleaning off the chalk door at the old apartment!!! i can really relate to the vibe of "yeah of course positive changes are ultimately good, but as they are happening they are also chaos and stress and interrupt the routine and AGH!" i'm feeling optimistic for the month of may to be all about establishing a new routine, getting back into exercising, and turning my creative endeavors into consistent habits. high five to anyone out there who's also turning over a new leaf, we can do it whooooooot!!!! 🐌🐌🐌

I feel you on the stress of reading in a second language! It can be frustrating because it's like 'I COULD READ THIS SO FAST IN ENGLISH WHY CAN'T I DO IT IN FRENCH' and it's like 'babe, you have been speaking english for 26 years longer than French so chill ya beans.' You probably do it already, but poetry in your second language is great because you can just casually dip in and out of it, makes me feel less overwhelmed!😊

My autism hack for public transit is to use the website positioning system and ignore the schedule. Then I put on my audio book, get there early and plan to spend quality time on a bench. I meet awesome dogs.
also had an overwhelming week but getting to sit down each sunday in bed with my warm breakfast and watching your video is always an instant recharge of comfort and joy
love the amount of new birb footage we're getting from the new place :) your vlogs always make me hopeful for my own week ahead.
i have also recently moved house and am in a weird good overwhelming period, so sitting in bed watching this with my coffee helped me decompress a bit and know i'm not alone. thank you very much
Sundays are productive days for me before the start of a new school week. Sometimes I tend to get super ambitious and then overwhelm myself and your videos are the perfect reminder for me to just breathe and relax.
Alli has been one of my biggest motivations to wiggle daily. I decided to double my walking distance with my dog and it’s been so good for my mental health :,)
your calm and compassionate self-talk is such an important reset for me lately. it's the only outlook that actually helps when shit is real. my mom has a terminal brain tumour so we're in a storm of home care, nursing, palliative care, endless relatives and friends, etc. and i'm also recently diagnosed with adhd and starting meds. it's incredibly humbling to sit with your loved one and honestly be like 'i am not equipped to be the perfect caregiver. i have migraines and task initiation trouble and panic attacks. but i will be your emotional support and help you keep feeling like a person with worth and dignity while we navigate everything that comes.' that's the real shit. and i couldn't do it without self-compassion and realistic expectations.
Just want you to know that you're absolutely adorable, your content is adorable and your vlogs make my sunday nights happier and cozier. Also reading in a new language is stressful and hard but so rewarding, support support support

haha, i totally agree with the workout-thing! i HATED working out when i was younger, mainly because the only thing we did at school was to play soccer, lol. also i am really lazy, hahaha, and it took me a long time to find ways to move my body that is actually fun. but now i see how good it is for my mind and body. like, my neck and back hurts so baaaad when i don't workout, haha! but whenever i move my body i feel so much better. it took me a while to get out of the mindset of "shut up everybody WORKING OUT SUCKS" and just realizing that it's so good, hahaaha.

Oh my goodness, you dove headfirst into tricky crochet territory! (I did the same, don't worry!) As someone who both knits and crochets, crochet is definitely the more forgiving of the two. The best tip I have for amigurumi crochet is to forget the magic circle; I highly, highly recommend chaining two and then working those first few stitches in the first chain! The abbreviations are very intimidating, but I completely understand, especially with the difference between UK and US terminology. Bella Coco is a great channel for crochet beginners, and if you plan on continuing to know I recommend Sheep & Stitch! I wish you the best of luck in all your crafty endeavors!
