Great video! This is a video i need. Thank you sir. I've been a subscriber for several years and love the content, but I don't comment that much; probably less than 10 times over the years. But I wanted to this time for sure! It's very helpful. I do have a question though. I dont own a sewing machine. Would you be able to reccomend one for purchase, or a guide in what to look for in a quality machine? Which machine is used in the video? Thanks again.
Finally, a sewing tutorial from Antonio! I've been tailoring my own clothing for years now, and it's so nice to see it pop up on men's style channels as well now. The whole "sewing isn't manly" trend needs to stop
One should know how to clean the dishes properly, keep the apartment/house clean Keep His shoes tidy and shinny Should ALSO know how to do little adjustments by own (like the sewing thing).
@@jerry.196 Self sufficiency is the manliest thing there is, true. Plus historically tailors were mostly men and a highly respected profession with incredible skills.
I have tried the "keep the original hem", and the result was always that the new, bulkier hem curled up. Much more a fan of the "easier hem", especially when you use the same color thread as the original hem. Good job with the video.
I would like to give a tip since I bought 6 chinos last year and hemmed them. Try them on with a few different shoes. I found out that a length that looked good with one pair of shoes didn't look that good with another. It was either too short or too long. So keep that in mind.
Well, I never get an unsuitable pair of pants, I always measure them before buying, but I have to say this video is so professional, first because it's as precise as my grandmother's tips for this, second the "how it's made" voiceover style is just so convincing ESPECIALLY with Antonio Centeno speaking, please make more videos like this about suits and tailoring!
I never use the dryer with my hood dress jeans and they still look dark and new. It takes a few days to hang dry them but worth it. I prefer the cuff look. My actual size is either 32/31 or 32/32. I always buy my Levi’s 505’s at the darkest blue I can find and at the size 32/34. I have tried expensive jeans before but for fit and what I like I always by Levi’s 505’s. They just fit my body perfectly. I buy a my jeans when Macy’s has them on sale.
Thank You! Seems that most jeans that I try on with a 29 inseam just seem to be too long when worn with my casual shoes. This is something that I will try (or my wife with her sewing machine) to give a more proper fit to my dark denim jeans.
Nice video. I’ve got my pants shortened to the correct length, my anson belt, pocket square, signature scent and my alpham earrings I’m all set to go 😊
Hey Antonio, I haven't been around in a long time, but it looks like you're doing amazingly well! I was really active in your sites about a decade ago, and I'm just randomly coming across your content lately. Congrats on the fruits of your hard work!
I usually wear a slim fit for jeans. I’ve been nervous to try this myself, as I’m worried about affecting the taper of the leg. But I may give it a go....
Seems like the easy method is the only on that will really work here. The leg opening might be a little larger but unless the taper is severe I doubt you could notice it with the naked eye.
Great video. The Buckle will also hem Jean's bought from them for free. These might be a little less dressy than some but it is a free service they provide for their jeans
The problem occurs while hemming the jeans with tapered leg opening . No matter what method you choose it ends up making leg opening wider almost like Boot Cut jeans 😢
Thanks Antonio, I understand the difference between each method. I do not have a sewing machine, and would only make the jeans look worse.😂. I will share this video with my girlfriend.
Wanted to ask you a question regarding shaving yesterday. But, for some reason, the question/ statement part of your site yesterday was missing! I still have a question regarding shaving. Who do I talk to? 😵
Please visit clothes alteration shops cos that is where all the ppl who look good in the same clothes do and u will help local businesses. Better than throwing away good clothes jus cos u can't make the right decisions.
Just take them to a tailor , it's not as easy as it looks 😬😬😬 most sewing machines can't handle folded layers off denim and it will seize or keep breaking the needle. However this works great for chinos as the fabric is easy for all machines 😊😊

I think an even worse style mistake is people wearing scrubs and cowboy boots at the hospital😆😂

@@abelbabel8484 yeh man, u r right; now I'm workin' in a textile company in which 99% of the tailors are men !

I enjoyed that. Now how do you adjust a suit jacket?
I feel the classic is more easy than the "easy" method, hahahah. Nervertheless, cool tutorial, now I only need a sewing machine
I do it by hand at least on my pants
I have tried the "keep the original hem", and the result was always that the new, bulkier hem curled up. Much more a fan of the "easier hem", especially when you use the same color thread as the original hem. Good job with the video.
Antonio youre the Master of Styling.
Thumbs Up Gentleman.

You're missing out on a lot of pants that could have looked great on you with a little time and effort
Sewing Tip: - It's easier to remove pins as you are sewing,if they are inserted side-ways.

1:59 - you made my day Antonio 😅🤣
I just hemmed 4 pair of jeans using the classic method, they turned out great!! Thank you!!
This was the most concise, though general, version I seen of basic personal tailoring of clothes. Excellent.
This is a whole new world of stuff I'm willing to learn
Thank You! Seems that most jeans that I try on with a 29 inseam just seem to be too long when worn with my casual shoes. This is something that I will try (or my wife with her sewing machine) to give a more proper fit to my dark denim jeans.
The thumbnail title says it all!)
This is an excellent video! I just grabbed an old sewing machine on an auction, can't want to try it out.
This brings back many memories when I made clothes hahaha
So nostalgic.
Really clear video, great tutorial!
Thanks for checking it out Mathinus!
Easy hem method is better and looks great!...
The second method is best. Thanks Antonio
Ohh lala it works for women jeans too.... 💕 Thank you ❤️
This makes hemming jeans easier than I've been doing it.
Awesome - glad you find it useful!
Nice video. I’ve got my pants shortened to the correct length, my anson belt, pocket square, signature scent and my alpham earrings I’m all set to go 😊
You how what...
In my country Tailers do it for 1$..
With precision
Its a blessing to me 🙂🙂🙂
Great info without all the blah blah blah. Thanks!!
I prefer the easy method because if done perfectly, the new hem looks better than preserving the old one and creating an odd iron line right above it.
I prefer the look of the second one from the picture. But I'll have to try them on a pair of jeans I have.
Loved the video Mr. Centeno this guide was vary helpful, hope to see more like it.
Yep it works amazingly well , Thankyou for the tutorial !♥️♥️

Hey Nick! Welcome back :) It's great to see you guys here. Thanks!
For everyone wondering about the sewing machine used, I believe it's the Brother CS6000i
Hell the second hem look just as good imo
Easy method for the win

Excellent, thank you.
The second hem is far better looking than the first one.
Thank you, I will try method 2!

@Real Men Real Style this was a pretty cool video
Thank you ☺️🙏
The problem occurs while hemming the jeans with tapered leg opening . No matter what method you choose it ends up making leg opening wider almost like Boot Cut jeans 😢
Most people don’t have any of the stuff you’re talking about so yeah it would be cheaper just to get someone to hem them
Thanks
Easy hem looks much better
Appreciated this video, as I prefer to keep the original hem.
My Jeans are too long!!!! Thanks for the great video!!!
Great video, thanks Antonio
Instructions unclear.. now working 23 hours a day at a sweat shop in cambodia...thanks RMRS for making my future bright😥

After shortening my pants are much too wide at the bottom. 😩 What can I do about it?
✌🏻
Easy solution - just buy the correct length jeans to begin with!
What type of shoes should you wear? Hop tops, low tops or boots?

Hey Antonio, could you make a video on how to stay self-confident during isolation?
Simon Cowell should hire you to give him a style makeover! Being a millionaire doesn’t buy you style 😀
If you are trying easy hem method then use a sand paper to get the shady look at the hem
