Gray tweed or black cashmere blazer for office or meeting. Never failed.
Hey there! I love your channel and I think you do a great job of providing valuable content. I was wondering if you could make a video about dressing up as a teenager. With so many fashion options out there, it can be overwhelming to figure out what's appropriate and stylish for different occasions. A video on this topic would be incredibly helpful for those of us who want to look our best but aren't quite sure where to start. Thanks for considering my request!
Great video! I've been doing this pretty much from 8th grade. Just a long sleve shirt rolled up the top 2 buttons undone. Elegant confortable and looking just awesome
Regarding armpit stains, I believe that's caused by deodorant with aluminum in it. I wear deodorants that don't have aluminum, and I've never had a problem with armpit stains, even after years of regular use.
Relaxed fit, boot-cut jeans in a darker stonewashed blue for casual, or a black for a more formal affair. I wear either my brown harness boots (casual) or my black laredos (formal)
Just want to say thank you for spurring a transformation in how I present myself in public. I already noticed a difference in how I am received and I have only just begun changing my wardrobe. Gents, ditch the gory death metal tees and learn how to wear men's clothing. It helped me with social anxiety like crazy. Layering the visual with a signature fragrance and the styling almost becomes a mantra that supports you throughout the day.
The best fit is a tapered fit that goes from a slim straight to a skinny taper without becoming skin tight around the ankle. The gap has skinny jeans very much like this. They fit my body perfectly and are the go to pattern for me. I just wish I could find a pair of affordable selvaged jeans in that pattern.
Great video. I struggle with layering living in Phoenix, AZ. When it's 118 degrees out, the last thing I want to do is wear denim and blazer/sport coat--especially since I naturally run hot.
You never mention pale pink as a colour for a dress shirt. I have lots, and paired with a light or dark navy suit looks amazing. I was always told to match your belt colour with the colour of your shoes. Brown belt = brown shoes. My favourite set up is navy suit, pink shirt and brown or chestnut shoes with belt to match. Tie = your choice. I’m from 🇬🇧 The Uk. Maybe guys in the US never wear pink! Would love your thoughts
I'm with you. I live in the US. I love to wear the pale pink. It definitely works. I love the pink with black suit, grey suit, dark grey, blue, chocolate brown.
@@marshallartz395 It doesn’t have to be a button down as long as you either starch the collar or use collar darts or both, nothing worse than curled collars.
What are some good brands for undershirts? Reason I’m asking is because if I unbutton the top two buttons, I don’t want the edges of my v neck undershirt to show.
A lot easier to explain. Dress shirt = Long rounded bottom (for tucking in), Casual shirt = Shorter straight bottom cut (never lower than past your crotch) NEVER wear a dress shirt untucked unless you are a hot female wearing nothing else except a loose tie.
Wear what you like don't follow trends. If u like baggi jeans or fit wear as pr comfort, ye belts and another accessories or color does matter. Again live ur own
Can't stand these videos that state; "Never Do This". Why?. Are people going to think less of you? Are you going to be socially unaccepted? Who cares!. Any MAN that worries about something so insignificant as to matching shirts with jeans, or whether he should tuck his shirt in or not needs to get over his insecurities and be comfortable in anything he would like to wear. Otherwise, he should start wearing a dress.
Speaking of belts, something else you would have definitely picked up in the USMC is an understanding of the gig line. Please mention this in an upcoming video dealing with belts. Looks so much sharper than a belt off center.
One thing I would like to know is if there is a brand of undershirt that doesn't *feel* like you are wearing an undershirt. I have tried many different types - the ol' regular white fruit of the loom thing, the compression type, fitted, mesh - and the problem that I have is that I always feel like I am wearing way too many clothes. Like I am trying to be Sta-Puft or something. Never comfortable. If anybody has suggestions, I am all ears (well, eyes in this case).
"Never do this!" I did this by mistake. As I walked through Oxford Circus traffic came to a halt. People stared in disbelief. When I returned home my wife told me that this must never happen again. Our social standing is at risk. She says that she will have to inspect me every time I leave the house.
Going to holiday parties with this advice alone isn’t advised. Take advantage of the special patterns available during the holidays. Normally wearing them would be tacky or too much, but holidays make it work. Tartans of green and red or blackwatch. Fair isle sweaters, vests, or cardigans in holiday colors. It’s the most wonderful time of the year for a reason. Sweaters are the best.
Good video. I do wear some dress shirts with jeans and they must always be tucked in. BTW-I notice the Anson belts in many of your videos. I have three belts and four buckles from them and I enjoy it very much! (This is not a paid advert, just a happy customer).
Skinny jeans are just bad Skinny jeans are so tight that they mess up the proportions of the body Go for slim fitted jeans instead, a much better and good looking choice for a slim guy
I'm older and always went with the blue chambray button-down oxford/khaki and lighter blue linen/chino combos for casual wear. We were taught that a denim variation top with a belt and tuck was fine, but jean bottoms were only suitable for softball, flag football, fishing/hunting, and car/yard/house work. $15 or $1000 jeans are the same (adjusted for one's income of course). Any thoughts RE: chambray/linen tops?
Nice vid, Antonio. I have a couple of dress shirts with a more casual vibe (a windowpane plaid and a gingham) made with French cuffs. I pair them with a nice-fitting pair of dark wash denim with a bit o' stretch (34 Heritage) and a merino sweater vest. Typically, I'll do a sports jacket, too. The cuff links up-class the outfit significantly. I complete the look with a wingtip, penny loafer, or chukka.
Claiming that all dark button up shirts are casual is ridiculous. They make many black, midnight/navy, or charcoal/anthracite dress shirts. To claim that’s not a dress shirt and instead casual is crazy.
At 58 and comfortable in my skin and in my clothes, ya now what I define as being a “real man” with “real style?” Being completely comfortable with yourself, acting like a grown up, not being told how to dress and wearing what makes YOU feel comfortable. The excessively tight shirts that have recently been in style look ridiculous. Guys with shirts and sports jackets that are too small or tight look like a little kid who is outgrowing his clothes. In this video you jumped from dress shirt to button down to button up about eighty-seven different times. Jumping around so much almost made it sound like even you did not know the difference. The KISS principle works very well when trying to help guys with fashion basics.
Fashion is subjective, and there's no one size fits all way of wearing your gear. Some ppl can pull off the most odd combination and some ppl just can't. It all depends on how you wear them and carry yourself. Fashion is an art form and there are no mistakes in an art form. It's down to one's perspective and to the eyes of the beholder. Some may be put off with Christian Louboutin spike shoes, but it's a fashion statement of others.
Great video Antonio! Since I work in a more casual office, I mainly wear button down shirts (mostly gingham and checked) with either Dockers or jeans. Pair them with captoe or wingtip derbies and a similar color belt. And always tucked in of course.
A couple of years back I started wearing deep v-neck t-shirts for under-shirts which greatly preserved my nice dress shirts and kept the sweat stains off that were hard for my wife to remove.
The shirt length is telling when it comes to dressy shirts versus casual ones. Dress shirts are made longer because they’re meant to be tucked into pants. They need to have some length to allow you to move or dance without coming untucked.
Please stop using button up or button down!! There are woven shirts which are either dress shirts or casual, or knit shirts which are polos etc. and they are casual. A BUTTON DOWN SHIRT is a button down collar!! It's not a button down the front shirt with frick'n buttons!!

I mean I get it if one or two people clicked incorrectly, but so many of them? It feels like what is happening when trying to bury real reviews that have criticisms.
Thank you! Levi’s in a dark wash in a 502, 511, or 512 look great with a sport coat. Why are people paying 400.00 for a pair of jeans they say are dressier? 511 jeans last me 6 or 7 years for 60 bucks. I don’t get paying 400 for Japanese denim … any thoughts? I have the money to buy them but I don’t see the value in doing it. Thank you.
This is good advice. I only wear casual button ups, often flannels, with my jeans, always tucked in. I can't really wear any kinda buttoned shirts over my pants anyway, because my wide hips makes the shirt very tight around the lowest button, which is just a terrible look. By tucking it in, that completely gets rid of that problem. I wear flannels because they're warm and soft, and I like the checkered pattern. I try to avoid the very classic red style though. But if I do wear a red one, I match it with dark gray jeans instead of classic blue.
I know a lot of you "in the office" professional types like the button up long sleeve dress shirts, but I have to say, I HATE THEM. Regardless of accompany slacks or jeans they are seriously uncomfortable and they never fit right, even if you spend $100+ a shirt. I am lucky that I WFH 50% of the time or more and when in the office it's a casual work env, so I can wear jeans with a nice pair of polished shoes or stylish boots, but I never wear button ups. I usually go with a fitted T shirt and a v neck cardigan. In summer I wear Polos.

You speak of ironing a dress shirt. I couldn't agree more. But what about ironing the pleats by the cuff after the shirt has been washed? Maybe after the first wash you can probably copy the originals, but after a few washes this becomes harder. Now, would you say I'm probably related to J. Edgar Hoover or is this something to be actually concerned with, and how to do it if it is the later?
I guess this is an american problem since americans tend to wear much more baggy or ill-fitting clothes then we do in europe. I´m a normal-to-slim built guy and always wear slim fit shirts and trousers/chinos/jeans. That way i´m almost the most comfortable and best looking.
I follow your channel for tips for my son. It would be nice if you had more Black models. Let’s be honest, many clothes fit differently on Blacks because of certain phenotypic differences.
The problem today with the jeans is that most stores sell skinny jeans and even regular styles are on the skinny side which is ridiculous because most of our population is overweight. On top of that they sit bellow our waist which is terrible for our tool and make us looks like Buffalos on jeans. I am not a fashion guy but I follow my lady advice. She said whenever you use jeans always use them with polo shirt, Turtle sweater, or Round neck t-shirt and you never will be wrongly dress and never cowboy boot cut jeans with casual sneakers. I think she is right.
I agree if I wanna wear a button up shirt with jeans especially ripped jeans I will wear my casual button up shirts untucked and it will look very good if you really wanna wear a shirt tucked in with jeans you can always wear your button up tucked in I see people do it
I know that this channel is mainly for men but, It would be great if you could Make a video on how a teenager should dress up. I'm really hopefull and thanks for your videos.
My dressier jeans have a high contrast stitch but I like it because it helps me lean into the fact that I'm not entirely formal Edit: Let me add, aside from the high contrast stitch they tick all the boxes. And I keep them very neat and tidy, hardly ever wear them
I am a huge fan of wearing a vest with jeans. Looks good with any kind of button up/down, dress, or flannel shirt. Works with dress shoes, boots, sneakers, or loafers, just coordinate your colors, and you're good.
This dude knows his shit. Knows that jeans with a sport coat are absolutely acceptable in small towns. Hell, most of us just wear a dress shirt alone with slacks and call it good. That’s why I’m here 😅

I am not a fashion guy but I follow my lady advice. She said whenever you use jeans always use them with polo shirt, Turtle sweater, or Round neck t-shirt and you never will be wrongly dress and never cowboy boot cut jeans with casual sneakers.
I think she is right.
I agree if I wanna wear a button up shirt with jeans especially ripped jeans I will wear my casual button up shirts untucked and it will look very good if you really wanna wear a shirt tucked in with jeans you can always wear your button up tucked in I see people do it
I dont think that a jeans really suits a dress shirts. flannel or casual shirts maybe.
I know that this channel is mainly for men but, It would be great if you could Make a video on how a teenager should dress up. I'm really hopefull and thanks for your videos.
Why would anyone wear a dress shirt with jeans?
What are your thoughts on black Calvin Klein Aggussie Oxfords with denim or khaki chinos?
My dressier jeans have a high contrast stitch but I like it because it helps me lean into the fact that I'm not entirely formal
Edit: Let me add, aside from the high contrast stitch they tick all the boxes. And I keep them very neat and tidy, hardly ever wear them
I am a huge fan of wearing a vest with jeans. Looks good with any kind of button up/down, dress, or flannel shirt. Works with dress shoes, boots, sneakers, or loafers, just coordinate your colors, and you're good.
where do you get "nude" color t shirts??
This dude knows his shit. Knows that jeans with a sport coat are absolutely acceptable in small towns. Hell, most of us just wear a dress shirt alone with slacks and call it good. That’s why I’m here 😅
