I like ITB's more than CARBS. CARBS are simple but sometimes it's hard to start up in some situations (aka: cold start). You need a screw to adjust the idle. ITB's are belonged EFI but it need a laptop computer to set the idle. Your 4A-GE looks so great. :-) Thumbs up for your car!
Depends on how well your carbs are tuned. Just drove my AE86 home from work and fired up instantly no issue at only 7°F, Had the same tune this summer when it was 80°F
Hey bro have you got the distributor timing locked out, does the 6ALN have an adjustable ignition curve? I have a 6AL2 non-programmable and wonder if I need to be able to change the timing advance.
right now my distributor timing it's locked up....the 6aln does have a adjustable ignition ..you should be able to advance the timing with the 6al2 ....
Which wires on the distributor (red and white) connect to the msd (green and violet)? Im having hard time finding which wires goes where. Also whats your total adavance and initial timing?
yes if you get a 4age to weber adaptor it should be a direct fit.. i got my adaptor from LCE performance toyota i got dellorto weber carburetors but are the same as regular webers
