That is by far one of the cleanest AE86 I have ever seen and the sound is just astonishing! Must be an absolute blast to drive! Thank you for sharing this.
Just finished watching the Tec-Art video!!!!! The look of Pride, the grin of satisfaction and smile of Happiness really shows his passion of these cars!!!! Kudos to you! what an amazing keep-sake to have a video from him on it all. Plus he said its "the best AE86 Limited black."
I'M SO HAPPY RUclips RECOMMENDED YOUR CHANNEL! BEAUTIFUL CAR, AND TASTEFULLY MODIFIED! Well documented, well edited, really great sound clips, and its limited black AND built by Tech Art, Wow!
Such a great car. And the audio it produces is superb! I own a 1992 CRX del Sol VTI (1.6 L, 160 hp) with deep-tone throaty exhaust and a CAI. When VTEC kicks in (5500 rpm+) the engine sound is so much louder than exhaust sound but i can't imagine what it would sound like with ITBs. Oh, man!
I can't tell you how happy I am to see this... what an incredible car, an incredible build. This is what car dreams are made of... I absolutely have to visit, and have you take me for a drive.
fluidampr/ati don't make one for 4ages iirc, but I use a ross on mine. lost a tiny bit of response but a whole lot smoother and obviously helps with those nasty harmonics
Awesome AE86! The sound from the ITBs is really intoxicating. ...makes me think now of getting ITBs as well for my 4A-GE 16V small port. I guess I really miss the ITB sound, so later today I'll take out the stock plenum of my 4A-GE 20V BT and install 90mm velo stacks.
No he didn’t in stage 1 he has a 16V 4AGE with a light tune about 150 Hp 2nd his engine blows up then he get’s a racing engine, wich we almost only have speculations of and is suspected to be some kind of Atlanta racing 86 engine, that revs to over 11K rpm. That one has ITB’s that’s why it revs so high. The ITB’s help with airflow. Btw if what I’ve typed false info please tell me
I didn't know you before this video. First of all nice video, angle, sound, montage. It's very well made. The car sounds sick!! As an 86 owner, this video made me want to tune my (almost) fully stock car ! But i don't know if I should do it for real 🤔 Anyone, nice video.
finally someone that is speaking in North American accent doing a video! This got me thinking of taking my car out this summer... Is the clutch fluid supposed to be that dark?
What did you use for crank/cam detection? I've seen a black block off plate with wire coming off in your video? Are you running your coil in wasted spark or sequential?
Mechanical tuning usually means making an engine more powerful without using a turbo/supercharger, it doesn't have to be old school. I don't know what you mean by modern tuning though
As an attempt to answer this question, I would say modern tuning is alot more precise with displayed live a/f ratios as rpms build - that's assuming we are only talking about a/f ratios If the engine has a knock sensor that can display information live on the computer then more advance can be used to squeeze a bit more bang while staying knock free Or to keep it simple, its alot more refined, precise and fine tuned Hope this answers the question!
i love the black limited version so much. congrats on getting your hands on such an amazing car. do you have maybe photos from the rear taillights. i wanna put on my 86 a black limited sticker. Just to honour these cars.
I love jdm. But If you build the 4age with majority USA aftermarket parts like JE Pistons buit for nascar. Youd probably make as much power or more than the tech art build engine with less money... Or you can swap a 3sg beams black top for even less money..
Awesome Video! That engine sounds great. Having the car worked on by Tec-Arts is so cool.
This guy and your car have two of the best 4age's i have ever heard
Yep
W
Nah yours sounds better
"The redline its ecstasy, it's to die for !"
Shingo Shoji - 1998
Well he was right
Yes, ITB on redline is music
That is by far one of the cleanest AE86 I have ever seen and the sound is just astonishing! Must be an absolute blast to drive! Thank you for sharing this.
I’ve never felt so poor in my life haha
Such a perfect sound ! 170 hp ?
You Sir, are a very lucky man to own such a beautiful & rare little car!

wish this was 10X longer! What an amazing build
Pure street build my friend love that raw sound of the ITB'S
I'M SO HAPPY RUclips RECOMMENDED YOUR CHANNEL! BEAUTIFUL CAR, AND TASTEFULLY MODIFIED! Well documented, well edited, really great sound clips, and its limited black AND built by Tech Art, Wow!
This is so sick, I love how calm the narrator is, what a nice change of pace
This build is absolutely awesome. I had the 4A-GE engine (stock for both) in 2 of my Toyotas.
Eargasm!!!! Thanks for linking to Tec-Arts YT!
I was discussing ITB's with a friend and went video searching and I'm so glad I found this vid.
After driving close to a thousand cars, hatchi is the cherry on top and why I dedicate most my life to these chassis. Hatchi love
Sounds responsive and good
That Duallies sound so awesome 👏

That intro knocked my socks off!
You should use that on all the progression motorsports videos.
Gosh, that car is a dream come true.
it would be great to have a POV video seeing the 4AGE singing around hk touges
Why would anybody dislike this video??.... greatest rear wheel drive toyota ever built.
This thing is a work of art.
The Sound of the Gods!
Very nice clear speaking, a joy to hear.
This look like such a fun car, the sound alone it to die for!
Unreal!!!!🎉🎉
Clean af , love it tastefully modified
I can't tell you how happy I am to see this... what an incredible car, an incredible build. This is what car dreams are made of... I absolutely have to visit, and have you take me for a drive.
what a journey mate! that sound 😍 and that experience hahaha so jealous!
what cams did you put in it? 264 in and ex? adjustable pulleys?
They're Tomei Poncams. They're equal in EX and IN. It also has adjustable Tomei cam pulleys.
@@Progressionmotorsports sweet! thanks for the reply! and enjoy that jewel!
Well done!!
Masterpiece of a car. Gotta ask how much did the motor work cost?
Might want to consider a fluidamper or ATI crank damper. It will really smooth the engine out and it last longer.
fluidampr/ati don't make one for 4ages iirc, but I use a ross on mine. lost a tiny bit of response but a whole lot smoother and obviously helps with those nasty harmonics
Just sounds so damn good
Ah I see you're a man of culture as well

i love how you kick pedal gas. so smooth
I hope to see that car when I get to hongkong. Love your Build bro. I miss my dads car.
1/400 black limited. With the best 16valve engine combination. I need one in my life!
AHH! a little late to the party! But yes! Love to see this 86 videos man! What a beauty
the sound. mmmmm love it.
Yooo, I live in HongKong too. But still not old enough to drive man this video just makes me fall in love With the 86 more
Nice build!
Thanks for sharing... ✌️

👏 absolute bliss
夠做啦!!!
WelI done、good job、
Fun car、完美平衡設定!!!
I’d love to know the details of the build. Cams, compression, etc. Great sounding car!!!
No other i4 sounds quite like the 4A, not even Alfa Romeo's or Honda's and the latter two sound amazing
Incredible video and car!!
Wow what a beauty!
the best na sound ever
I am in love with the sound I have a big port
make sure to watch this video at 100% volume 👍
Wow lovely mate!
Def my favorite sound in the world
Happy!!! 6:51
So did Takumi's 86 also has ITB'S in all the stages?
No he didn’t in stage 1 he has a 16V 4AGE with a light tune about 150 Hp 2nd his engine blows up then he get’s a racing engine, wich we almost only have speculations of and is suspected to be some kind of Atlanta racing 86 engine, that revs to over 11K rpm. The 11K revving version also has 230 HP
@BAKIE-u9g well I'm not so much knowledgeable about 4A-GE but I guess you are right
This is seriously cool!
good for you and Im so happy that u are making content again been waiting for a year now I think
4ag ftw!
Keep driving it. Good stuff.

Anyone, nice video.
Sweet car. Early in the video that looks like a massive crack in the 4th cylinder exhaust manifold tho
So sick!
Just about creamed myself at 6:48. What compression ratio pistons did you go with? This is what I'd like to achieve with my VW 16V lol.
180ps street build 4age? I dig it, wonderful car
Did you ever fabricate an air-box for it or are you still sucking bugs and rocks into that nice engine?
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooow. Just. Woooooooooooooooooooow
im jealous of your black limited unicorn
black limited is perfect
Odd choice to choose a Motec M84 in 2021. Not a bad choice, but definitely yesterday's news
Great car and great story.
What a great Machine , where your oil filter relocated at ?
Geez it goes hard and sounds awesome.😁
Anything else done to the head apart from the cams?
Can you share the compression ratio?
finally someone that is speaking in North American accent doing a video! This got me thinking of taking my car out this summer... Is the clutch fluid supposed to be that dark?
Do you have difficulty understanding other accents? Just curious...
Do you normally run pod filters on it to filter dirt out or just always open throttle body?
Do you run a filter on those trumpets? I've always wondered why tec art build motors never have filters?
Good question
God I miss my AE86.
What do u do to afford a black limited and then get a Tec arts motor
I almost fucking cried when u first hit the limiter
Bro same.
Thumbs up
Cool!
What are the specs on the pistons? I love the car and build!
amazing, what kind engine oil you used?
いい音してますね♪
What did you use for crank/cam detection? I've seen a black block off plate with wire coming off in your video?

*yes*

MY EARS JUST CAME
How much did the 86 cost?
That’s sweet! Pardon my ignorance but what can modern tuning do to a legendary analog icon vs old school mechanical tuning?
Mechanical tuning usually means making an engine more powerful without using a turbo/supercharger, it doesn't have to be old school. I don't know what you mean by modern tuning though
@@ericsson_motorsports I wonder if joel meaning old school tuning as by means of a butt dyno and in the days before a dyno was easily accessible?
As an attempt to answer this question, I would say modern tuning is alot more precise with displayed live a/f ratios as rpms build - that's assuming we are only talking about a/f ratios

Is it a genuine black limited or a replica?
My question is how's your AE86 in america doing, im really curious about your USDM 86.
Can I get the details of this build? This is so sweet❤️
you're based in HK? Damnn these are rare
How much did the engine build cost?
do you have a complete parts list?
just asking,is it originally with t-vis before?
i love the black limited version so much. congrats on getting your hands on such an amazing car. do you have maybe photos from the rear taillights. i wanna put on my 86 a black limited sticker. Just to honour these cars.

It sounds aaaaammmmmmaaaazing!
How much hp and torque does this build have?? Thank you.
