I've owned both a Corolla FX (ohv 1.6 version,) and aw11 MR2 been off road unintentionally in both. The Corolla limped home, $40 + an alignment good to go. The MR2 took it like a champ $0 learned not to flip the tvis in a corner in the rain. Both terrific cars.
Let me just say, I love this video! And the black top screaming at 8K!!! ahhh soo good. In 1080p the forward facing view looks like a driver sim because is soo involving. Also you have out done yourself with the multiple camera positions, peddels, underbonnet, front of car, exhaust and tacho. Well done, I appreciate the effort and thought you have clearly put into this video. I can't wait to hear what your upgrades are? Currently I have the head off my black top, its had a mild porting and cleaning up of casting marks, port matched in/Ex manifolds and have a set of Tomei Poncam installed and all the shims backlash setup . Oh, you still need a nice car.. but by nice i dont mean fancy expensive ir powerful. My ex has a mercedes gla250 it has near on 300 hp, giant tires, dsgtrans and is fucking boring. I have an 85' rx7 with 450rwhp, it is an absolute animal but too much for the streets and hard to enjoy. I also have a bog stock 06 lancer with manual trans 2.4l engine, all of 115kw lol and good tyres and that thing is actually FUN. This corrola with legendary 4ag sweetness is absolutely gorgeous. They just dont make cool cars any more.
Every time I watch this video, It gives me tears of joy. The sound is so aggressive but so damn good. I can’t wait to own a 80’s Toyota with a 4age. Either it be a ae92, fx16, or aw11. They will bring me joy.
Awesomes Cars - they were flying machines, My brother had one of these back in the 90's forget your subarus, and cars nowadays which have turbo lag, these were awesome and can easily give your Hondas, Subarus etc a run for their money! This is raw power!
Definitely a new favorite channel, super wholesome. Love the connection with the car and your real spirit of driving. How you are driving 100% and improving both yourself and the vehicle is so pure. I've been a mechanic for almost 4 years building and modifying on tons of high performance stuff, I learn more and more everyday with each new engine swap, or coil over conversion, transmission conversion, wiring jobs etc... sure I have my own projects, but never have I ever wanted so badly to go improve them to their peak capacity until watching videos like yours. Sure I always wanted to do upgrades X, Y, and Z but never like this. Perhaps it's the homestuckness of the current global dilemma, but regardless, you make some damn good content, and I can tell you really enjoy doing it. I purchased a brand new 87 Corolla fx16 GTS back in the day and I made every excuse to leave the house for an errand but the kids came along and I had to get the 88 Chevy Nova twin cam same engine I believe but an automatic so the wife could drive it... And about 6 hours ago, I caught a glimpse of a white beat-up fx16 in my neighborhood and I recognize the sound before I saw it... Fond memories
I'm into Subarus (turbo) but this car of yours is a car I'm adding onto the list of cars I've missed out on driving due to my somewhat young age. Sounds so cool, the recording is so cool.
I'm also into Subarus, i had a STI hatchback and loved it to death. The Corolla feels like a precision tool compared to the STI which smashes through all road undulations and rips hard once the turbo comes on boost. Both sound great in their own way.

A little bit of an update, since I last watched this video, I’ve bought myself a 1971 ke26 wagon, and have a bluetop 4age that’s getting set up to be put in. Can’t wait to drive it and hear the sound of the 4age singing under the hood.

I think your chanel is one of the best regardind ITB's! I feel sad although that in modern cars isn't easy to fit ITB's, since in order to do that you must deal with complex electronics and possible obd2 problems...

These Corolla's suffer from rust so getting one from the west coast is your best bet to find a rust free example. 4AGE has an incredible charm.
