my friend has the same set up and he took his msd set up and change the stock distributor and swaped it with a starlet distributor which has vacuum advance and ever since he did this setup his engine runs really well no back fire no extra fuel being waste... ill try to post some picture on the set up that he has on his car....
with carbs you open up the ability to heavily modify the engine while not having to pay for an expensive stand alone ecu with expensive tuning. If you threw high comp pistons and say a 296 deg cam in a 4age with a stock ecu the thing would not perform as it should. were as with a carb set up you just have to rejet the carbs.
i know its late now but :P if the carbs are not #match paired thats what happen i have a 4agze in my yard im building it slowly but dont have neither the efi or the carbs :P and not much money lol my car is a ae71 (ke70 body)
yes, but probably more costlier to install, etc.. and so on.. And I can live on just one cam, trust me! :) As long as it performs and has the ability to outperform some of my friend's cars...

Try synchronizing the butterfly valves, i had the same problem, and try tuning them with 4 vacuum meters
true project car.
i think i heard once its because the throttle response is better with a carburated engine than efi. im
not sure what that means though
Haha I love it! Good parts for a great price!
where did you get your throttle linkage set up??
How much did the intake manifold cost? Any links to the ebay seller?
@pollollo10 toyota corolla like 87-92 ish.
Did the car equipped with an LSD?

are you running the 4age with sr5 fuel lines and gas tank? just wondering
Hello, im planning on doing this swap to my SR5 but im not to good. Any links on what ill need? Thanks! I mean EVERYTHING ill need. Is it CA legal?
Why do ppl go from EFI to carburation!? That sounds backwards to me. But then again, i don't know much. Please explain why ppl go from EFI to carbs.
How did you plumb in the stock fuel tank?
BTW do you know where to buy a low miles AE86 ?
what distributor?
the 4ac is already carburated.
I have that same set up but it wastes too much gas!! can anyone help me?
That 4AG engine is only $100? That is super cheap. Here it costs more than $300.
where did you get the manifold?

Watch the vid again & he tells you if you listen!
I won't tell you because it seems you have to practice listening some more;~)
youre a technical jackass, i like it! im a person like you haha
it looks like it
why not a carbed 4AC?
Interesting point...But I like the way the 4AC's look...Even the AE86 4AC's...;)

I'm talking about REAL carbs for the 4AC...
no it isn't.... I'm talken about twin sidedrafts and the fools who voted my comment down are just that ---- FOOLS!
