Hello. I know this video is old now and you're probably sick of questions but your video is really helping me with my engine swap. I have a question though... Does the VSV and idle up computer need 12v ING power? I can't see where it would get it from on the loom but the diagram shows it splicing off of the ECU switched ING feed and fuel pump feed. Many thanks.
Thanks for this video but i got a problem on my ae82 the injector is only firing 2 to 3 sprays and then nothing is like it only start for 1 to 2sec the shut off any help plz
You'll need to add pins with Constant power, Ignition power and the output to the Injectors / Igniter into the fuse box. Look at the top and you'll see the pin numbers that correspond to the pins on the side and front.
At the very end (14:30), you talk about connecting the speed signal to the ECU. I put a bigport 4age into an 81 corolla wagon and my engine isn't revving past 4k (Maybe my aftermarket tacho isn't calibrated properly?). Wondering how to find the speed signal from the cluster of an older corolla to send to ECU
If the engine isn't reving past that , there is likely a timing issue or fuel supply problem. If the tacho isn't calibrated, you'll know by the sound of the engine what is wrong. I'll do a video on how to get the speed signals working in a few weeks.
@@AE86DrivingClub86 Thanks for getting back to me! I've been chasing the issue for a few weeks and finally figured out it was the tach. Previous owner had installed it, so I just trusted the way he set it up, but turns out it was set to 8 cylinders (he had the same 4k issue as me on his 20v and thought it was a limp mode lol). To find the switch, I had to take the thing apart and flip two switches on the circuit board..! Thanks for the help, your videos are the best!
Really enjoyed the video! Regarding speed sens wire. Does it need to be connecting for AE92 ECU (1988 7-rib bigport) sitting in AE86? Did both AE86 and AE92 cluster send speed signal?
It doesn't have to be connected to run, but will throw a check engine light from time to time. I suggest on an ae86 you connect it. I've got a video which outlines the pin on the adm cluster. ruclips.net/video/N7VjIe_4xmc/видео.html Watch the adds to show true appreciation or skip through to about 3:30 if you are bored.
Hi, i am swapping an ae82 bluetop and harness into an ee80 body, have some issues with the wiring, is there any way i can contact u directly to let you see what's wrong? I think there's a problem with the harness
Silvertop have a orange sticker on them, blacktop is black with white writing. You can run a silvertop with blacktop ecu and vice versa if you swap the map sensor for afm etc. all other sensors and injectors etc are identical.
There are 2 parts to the diagram, that you may download from the links below. www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/images/AE82_4age_Diagram_1.jpg www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/images/AE82_4age_Diagram_2.jpg
Great Video! So helpful and easy to understand. Much appreciated
Thank you 🙏🏼
Awesome video! Learnt a lot from it and have probably watched it 20 times over
Lucas Domars thanks for the feedback. Glad you found it useful

What colour are your injectors?
bro please tell me about TVIS wiring i am finding from many day how to connect TVIS wire i didnt find TVIS grip in my wiring of 4age 16v bigport
TVIS Wiring is at 3:48 . Ecu provides an earth to the solenoid and it has ignition power
@@AE86DrivingClub86 thanks brother can i have your instagram or something other so i can send you pictures then i can clearly understand please 😥🙏

Thanks

I soon will try to install a bigport bluetop 4AGE from an ae82 into a 4AF AE92. My main concern is the wiring and the exhaust.
