I got that throwing knife set from a retailer in the U.K. They make good practice pieces for putting scales on and seeing what works and what doesn't, less than £1 apiece for decent steel and they come fairly sharp. Not so good for throwing though.
Be careful when purchasing para cord. In my experience para cord is in most cases just para cord looking rope with a tensile strength of 150-200 lb. And true cordage has a tensile strength of 550 lb. that's why its called 550 para cord. just a heads up as I have been duped in the past. thanks!

I taught myself how to pick locks when i was 13 with paper clips. Never had a real set of pics but at least now i can pic any lock wit ha bobby pin or paper clip =P
If you are a collector that likes fantasy knives and swords to have for show, BudK is awesome. If you are actually gonna put your knives to hard use, there are things you can find there that are ok. Don't ever buy a practical katana from them, you might hurt yourself or somebody else. Swords are not meant to be made from stainless steel.

never trust a cheap baton. I carry one as my main form of self defense. I had a cheap one and the top shaft would fly out of the first shaft when opened fast. I now have an asp and i honestly scared that i had a cheap one when I did, because I am very sure it would have broken if I tried to use to save my life. I now think, if you are trained with one, batons are the best form of portable self defense if you cant have a gun.
nowadays you can get a chinese enlan folder at a quality level of a benchmade and at the price point of a decent meal. this is what youtube is for. don't bother reading catalogues like that, you'll end up flushing money down the drain. watch youtube videos. thanks jeff. very helpful!

no..that just means you got ten knives with junk steel that wont hold an edge and will more than likely have bad lock up and blade play...they're usable sure..but comparing a $20 knife to a $200 knife is just proof that you would rather have quantity over quality

I basically bought every working bugle I could find fairly cheap, and one of the ones I found was a Nazi replica one, and I think I actually found it on BudK I didn't buy the stuff because I'm racist, I just think their uniform, insignia, and daggers looked cool, hell, I'm not even white, so it would be in my best interest to not advocate nazism
