A few weeks ago I had a really negative experience with a certain online business. Lots of people have had a good experience with this business and I expected that I would to, but when I tried to make a purchase the owner was shockingly rude and had terrible communication. So I put up a video like this sharing my experience; the owner saw it and he and his friends harassed me for weeks afterwards, tracking me down on all my social media accounts and sending violent threats and harassing comments until I eventually took the video down. So I get it.
In one of your story time videos you mentioned a spoiled rich kid that you had lots of stories about, you could do a story about that.

I barely ever comment but ive watched you for years and years and I can confidently say you are honestly one of the most moral, good hearted, considerate and caring people around. especially on RUclips. your abilitly to turn the other cheek and see the good in everyone is incredible. like the second story, most people (including myself) would have been furious and verbally attacking that person which wouldve solved nothing for anyone. but you give people the benefit of the doubt. and you consider intent where others dont. we should all strive to be a little more like you.

LOL The story about people demanding you do things for them free reminded me of when I worked for an internet ISP about 15 years ago. This was pre smart phone days. People use to call the office all the time wanting us to look up info on the internet for them. Most weren't even our customers, just random people who thought we were like a free service for them. No asking politely for a favor, but demanding this from us. The sense of entitlement some people have is amazing.

When I first started off on RUclips one of my favourite RUclipsrs had a friend die and he started uploading on his second channel. Someone in the comments was wondering why he was posting more on his second channel, and I replied that it was because his friend passed away and he was taking a break from his main channel. Somehow this guy will millions of subscribers and thousands of comments saw my comments and was upset that I assumed why he wasn't uploading on his main channel. He replied back and I've never felt such mixed emotions. I never thought I'd get a reply back from the guy who got me into RUclips, but I never meant to upset him. It seems obvious now that I shouldn't of tried to answer that question, but I was a middle schooler who never expected him to even read the comments. So I've always been kinda scared to post anything negative on a video I like. I'd just like to thank you for being real with us. You're a really down to earth guy and I've always enjoyed your knife reviews. Sometimes I'm scared to post criticism, especially since I know you read most the comments, but you never assume the worst of people. Somehow it seems like you usually know exactly what the person intended with their comment (good or bad). I just want you to know that I love this unique personal channel and I hope I've never upsetted you.

Unfortunately, some people suck. There's such a thing as an "excuse train". Often when people are lying to you, they will add on excuse after excuse to keep from completing a process, or telling the truth. Often you have to take folks (traders, EBay sellers) at their word. I've been burned by people a few times, and it's a sucky feeling. Often I feel like I'm wearing a sign that says "please take advantage of me". When it happens, I feel like a sucker and a moron.
I wouldn't worry about any of this stuff, Jeff. People doing stupid shit like this have what's coming to them. It's not your problem, it's theirs for legally transferring their property to you. You have no obligation. If it upsets you, don't do it. If you genuinely feel they deserve your good will, then go ahead. Don't bother with the problem people.

Great to put a face to the hands 👍🏻 as a small stacking channel I’ve felt with a few nightmares in the comment section I couldn’t even imagine having a larger sub count and dealing with some of the trolls .
My best advice a few others have told me is : let the trolls troll and ignore them and they will go away . People suck sometimes!

basic measurement test is informed consent, if you didnt consent to receive a package or burden, its not your fault. if you want to clear something out the person in error owes you at the very least the compensation to fix the issue, whether that be full priced shipping or a missing item etc.

You are absolutely correct about this far off land person.The only problem lies in the fact that you had originally agreed to send it to them. This does kindof make you partially responsible. I say partially because the country you would've had to send to was not initially disclosed. So be a nice guy and send them half the value of the knife. Or say fuck it ,they live in another country and can do nothing to me so screw off.
The commenters I can’t stand are the ones that basically cut and paste the same “China sucks” variation on every damn video. I don’t review clones or Ganzos or other crap. Gimme a break!

NavyKnights yeah Mon have to give them all a try most knives are made in China it's the steel they use that makes the difference no matter where it's made and yes hand made knives can be very expensive $300 and up who has that kind of money and if a person did buy it they wouldn't use it like they would a $25 dollar knife that's what I carry everyday a light flipper that Jeff showed on his channel best knive so far and it is made in China.

Really, in 2018, quality doesn't depend on nationality anymore. Many of the budget Chinese brands completely outperform American brands. I'd much rather buy a $40 ruike than a $40 kershaw knife.
There is nothing wrong with Chinese knives, ofcourse there are some really bad ones, with the intent to deceive you into thinking it's "brand x" but obviously isn't. Other than that there's a lot of really great and actually ORIGINAL DESIGNS (kizer, twosunknives,.........), made in China by Chinese companies. I have close to 150 twosunknives, and I'm happy with all of them (all authentic designs, designed by various "real designers"). So... come on! "China sucks"... that's just "racism and jealousy", and small minded people's opinions. KT✌

I'll be honest, your channel was one the first platform specific channel I started following years ago. The appeal was obviously the reviewing of reasonably priced blades, and your honest experience. I'll just say you've stayed consistent and honest on the channel, and that's pretty good I'd say. People have gotten really ridiculous on these platforms. They'll regret it. Just keep doing your thing. I do find it amusing that people send you stuff and have expectations for you do work or their bidding. That is insane.

I just want to comment on the guy who had a package get “lost” in the mail. You are right about what happens when it comes to legitimate lost mail. But in the instance that happened to me where my mail man stole my package and in order to not get in trouble he himself reimbursed me, you’d be wrong. The mail man will give you money. And apparently more than the item was worth if their job is on the line.
