Such great artwork on some of these packs. It's a poignant reminder of the power of branding where regardless of the cigarette within, people identify with the image and ideas promoted by the brand. I smoked briefly as a teenager 45 years ago, and it had to be Dunhill..I loved the classy image of the gold and brown packets.
tobacco isn't the first product touted to be able to cure sickness. and it isn't the last either just look at people who sell "magic" rocks for a living, a previous video on this channel shows as much. "crystal healing"

First tobacco was healthy, then it didn't do anything, then it was a bit bad for you, then people finally admitted it was cancer in stick form. Crystals, oils and kale aren't bad for you (well some oils can be and if you eat too much kale or snort crystal dust you'll have a bad time) but they aren't they miracle product some people selling it claim. Just chill, mate.

I honestly find this incredibly interesting. Anything that has been preserved from days long past are intriguing to me. I collect coins, but this feels like something I could have picked up as well.

I love to smoke and I always encourage others to take it up. I can't stand people who insist on not smoking. Everyone should smoke, I hate that it's banned in certain places nowadays. I like to smoke constantly and have done since I was about eleven. I smoked two cigarettes typing this out.
Interesting video! In Canada there is 25 or 20 to a pack. Back in the 80s there was a 15 pack, but the government pressured the manufacturers to stop making them as they "attracted kids". We even used to tease our friends if they had a "kiddie-pack". I have heard older people talk about a "flat deck" , which apparently had 50, but I've never seen them, and they certainly don't make them anymore. Thanks for posting this for us : )

It’s funny how obscure collecting can be. I use to collect Goosebump books and barely ever read them. I also use to collect Magic The Gathering cards when I was like 8. I never even learned how to play the game but thought the artwork and quotes were cool.
