The incredible part is many of the boxes are still full of product. If you want to stop a kid from smoking, let him light one of these 100 year old babies up....oooeeerrrr, that'll turn him blue.

The best ASMR for me is always an older male talking about random hobbies or collections, it reminds me of my great grandfather and him talking about all of the things he collected. Great video!

This is very unintentionally relaxing (no but seriously my favorite unintentional asmr is usually ones where people with low quality mics do computor tutorials or computor reviews)
I know what you mean. I sometimes look up old 2003 excel or word tutorials since they tend to have the droning voice that puts me to sleep
Me too I think the 3D mics are sometimes too sharp and hard to listen to..

What I learned from this video: you dont see many of these....
I can't imagine how difficult actually finding these can be. Once you empty the pack the first instinct is to throw it out as soon as you can.

I know it's a shame. This isn't protected under fair use. There is no transformation by editing or commentary etc. I don't agree with channels like this on a moral basis.
@@the_original_Bilb_Ono In theory they could be good because they give the original 'artists' more exposure (and this tuber is good because he (she/they) always puts links to the original in the descriptions), but in practice it doesn't work because viewers forget or don't know or don't care to give the original creator any love.

There's something about the smokes coming in packs of in less than 5 that makes them seem much more special. Don't think I've ever had any that didn't come with 20
Ya nowadays someone shows up with a pack of 25 and will probably get 3-5 bummed off them before the night is through. That ain’t happening with a 2 pack.

That "Kits" package with the two cats is amazing. I love it.
Such great artwork on some of these packs. It's a poignant reminder of the power of branding where regardless of the cigarette within, people identify with the image and ideas promoted by the brand. I smoked briefly as a teenager 45 years ago, and it had to be Dunhill..I loved the classy image of the gold and brown packets.

@@legendairenic6247 The hell, mate? He was just explainng a historical fact. Tobacco was sold as a "miracle" product. Like kale, oils and crystals. First tobacco was healthy, then it didn't do anything, then it was a bit bad for you, then people finally admitted it was cancer in stick form. Crystals, oils and kale aren't bad for you (well some oils can be and if you eat too much kale or snort crystal dust you'll have a bad time) but they aren't they miracle product some people selling it claim. Just chill, mate.

I love to smoke and I always encourage others to take it up. I can't stand people who insist on not smoking. Everyone should smoke, I hate that it's banned in certain places nowadays. I like to smoke constantly and have done since I was about eleven. I smoked two cigarettes typing this out.

This is a fantastic find, I’m very grateful for your having shown it. It seems the channel is perhaps the brother of the Barry Russell in the video. Hopefully he’s(Barry) encouraged to make more in depth videos on this subject, knowing people find it interesting/relaxing.

Interesting video! In Canada there is 25 or 20 to a pack. Back in the 80s there was a 15 pack, but the government pressured the manufacturers to stop making them as they "attracted kids". We even used to tease our friends if they had a "kiddie-pack". I have heard older people talk about a "flat deck" , which apparently had 50, but I've never seen them, and they certainly don't make them anymore. Thanks for posting this for us : )

It’s funny how obscure collecting can be. I use to collect Goosebump books and barely ever read them. I also use to collect Magic The Gathering cards when I was like 8. I never even learned how to play the game but thought the artwork and quotes were cool.

I’ve accumulated a small collection of tobacco tins over the years. I’ve never thought about collecting cigarette packets, though. I don’t smoke at all but I appreciate the artistic value of these packets.
