  • Professional husband Ned Fulmer was fired by the Try Guys for cheating on his wife, Ariel. At first, letting Ned go for this reason might sound insane, but the Try Guys didn't have a choice. They had to fire Ned. Here's why.
This video is a commentary on the recent Try Guys drama involving the firing of Ned Fulmer.

He didn't really get fired for cheating, got fired for having a workplace relationship with a subordinate. That opens the company up to lawsuits about favoritism, unfair treatment, etc.

Yeah, it's literally against company policy in most cases to date your subordinate/coworker.
It's not okay to cheat, ever, but it's also a liability because the consent could be up to scrutiny. All it takes is her saying it was because she felt pressured for her to completely destroy the ideas behind their workplace environment.
She could say that he held it over her, or that because he had power over her that she felt pressured into the relationship, and that could cause cancel culture to rip into the whole channel itself.
They also have to take into consideration, again, their monetization. If Bill Gates turned out to have been cheating on his spouse with a subordinate, people would be very upset with him, but ultimately, nobody would see the effect it has on his products.
Online however, when your entire brand is based on your wife, and you cheat on her, people begin to lose faith in your "characters", and can even stop watching the videos entirely, which would affect all of them.
In other words, get rid of the liability in a legal sense, and monetary sense.

I think people took this personally because he projected seemingly healthy and adoring man and his deep appreciation of his wife and children. That was his whole personality and it was refreshing in this hookup culture era. An example for his younger fans of a loving family they can aspire to, if you wish. He absolutely deserves everything happening right now but at the same time Ariel and their children do not. They'll grow up and read/watch everything, sadly, and the embarrassment she must feel now. That’s exactly why I’m so shocked by this, watching so many videos, deep into the drama. Ned seemed like the perfect husband, made me feel like maybe there are actually amazing men out there who genuinely care and have a brain. It sucks hearing about this, not only do I now feel like my view of men is once again damaged because he wasn’t faithful, but I feel even less trusting of men how far he went to make everyone around him believe this. And the fact that I actually thought he was that person. It makes me think “wow. Men can really be manipulative can’t they? Put on a whole face for years and it’s all a lie”. It’s sad.

For anyone who says that Alex should be fired as well, the guys technically can’t fire her. In any company, a workplace relationship between a boss and an employee obviously isn’t right so most people just tend to get rid of the boss since it’s considered ‘abuse of power’. They were right to fire Ned but for Alex it isn’t since she could sue them. So considering that everyone in the Try Guys company are really close and are good friends, I think they’re just waiting for Alex to leave on her own. I mean, imagine having to face your coworkers who knew you had an affair with your boss?

His sound guy, producer, and co-host of one of the podcasts had been cheating on his wife with two employees over several months and he was fired. He and his wife are divorcing, but he doesn't seem to have a lot of remorse - he's continuing an independent comedy podcast in which he still tells stories about his now ex-wife and family. It's very strange, and I think Dan Cummins felt like it was a betrayal to him as a friend and to the company. Especially since it involved employees.

He has profited off of pretending to be someone whom he is not. That's a completely valid response and if anything is "creepy" it's the gatekeeping and shaming of the people they have financially profited from for years....
