Love the road trip video Dave. It's a refreshing take on the vehicle. We get to see the navigation system, your MPG, demo some tech, and hear your impressions. Please do more of them and have fun at Mudfest.
Awesome road trip. I own a 2017 Kia Sorento SXL Thanks for your input. I bought it 10/2021 after watching your video of a child picnic bench in the back of the Sorento. 👍🏾👍🏾

Dave, this style of review is awesome. This is how a car like this will be used, so its nice to get this perspective. And the state of Washington is beautiful. Please do more like this, especially for family vehicles.
Good Video. I have owned this vehicle since April 1 2015. It now has 43,000 kms (Canada). No issues other than the sun roof labors to close sometimes. Truck has thule areo bars, towing package, tinted front windows, front & rear dash camera's, snow tires and rims. I've pulled an 18ft searay boat and a small enclosed utility trailer. I love this suv.
Please keep these types of video up. The longer drive of a vehicle, and in different city, highway drives, would likely yield a better perspective. You are doing great work Dave!
Your videos are great, probably my favorites. Would like to hear recap of cabin noise, comfort, overall general handling of the vehicle while on the long drive. Keep up the great work!
Love the roadtrips man. I appreciate what you do and I just purchased a used 2017 Kia Sorento with 25,000 miles and so far we love it. Thank you Everyman Driver.
More road trip videos, please. Really enjoy watching your reviews. I also like the extra personal bits you throw in like getting starbucks and your weight loss, etc. It's fun! Just purchased a 2017 Kia Sorento LX V6 FWD. I feel in love with it instantly. Looking forward to years of fun with it.
I asked about this style of video a couple of months ago, and I'm glad to say you nailed it. This style of video really answers a lot of questions on the driver's experience. Great job Dave 👏🏿👏🏿. The Kia Sorento looks amazing.
You should totally do more of these videos. They're so much better than the regular stuff that most youtubers do. One of the reasons is that you're getting better impressions from a car on a long trip, and will probably be able to spot some issues that otherwise would be overlooked. A suggestion would be to go even deeper on the overall comfort level, tech features, and pros and cons when driving long distances. In a nutshell, a bit more in-depth instead of focusing just on the fuel consumption. Otherwise, awesome job!
Just love this style of video road trip! More, more, more!!! I have serious health issues and I LOVE cars! You made me travel a little bit with you! Tomorrow I will get my 2016 Kia Soul SX Luxury! The Exclaim trim here in Canada with the whole shebang!!!!
Love what you did with this Road Trip.. I got the 2016 Sorento EX+ last week of Janaury 2016 until now I haven't yet try to drive for long distance in the highway. This video showcase the feature and fuel consumption which is great. Love it
nice video dave..thats what we folks here in saudi arabia want to watch ..road trips from point a to b , gas millage and vehicle durability..we hope to see more videos like this on everyman driver..hey more power!!!!
Keep doing these road trip videos! Its very helpful, especially when you explain/show all the technology in the car and show real world gas milage. Thanks!
Definitely love the road trip videos! Keep 'em coming! I'm also a big Washington state fan...visited there a few times already. Just gorgeously scenic.
This one of your best videos so far. Showing us the MPG as you go along was fantastic. Just wondering from your camera view do the rear head rest block your view out the back of the vehicle at all. All in all an awesome road trip.
Dave, it is great to have a real world experience with these reviews. If I needed 0-60mph stats, g force or cam shaft details I can get that from each and every 'professional auto journalist' provider. But instead I prefer to know how a car performs in everyday conditions, traffic, usability and some occasional unpaved yee-ha - there is only one source. EveryManDriver.
I loveeee this style of videos. This is my 1st time watching your road trip videos. I love it. Very nice Kia. I'm in the market of purchasing my 1st suv and didn't give Kia a thought but this video made me rethink my decisions
Congrats on the weight loss. Didn't think you has any to lose but I did notice you were thinner. Glad to know it was wanted and not anything for us to worry about.
These are great and are very useful to us wanting to know real driving highway and city gas mileage. Because we all know their estimated miles per gallon are usually far fetched thanks Dave!
I like this commentary on the Sorento as it reflects what to expect under real driving conditions. It also helps my decision making process as I am still uncertain how good the Kia brand is when compared to the big two, i.e. Honda and Toyota.
+rolojosia72 It's usually cloudy from Snoqualmie Pass to the Pacific Ocean. The cascade mountains average about 4000 feet elevation so they hold in the clouds. Western washington gets about 40 inches annually while eastern washington gets about 18. Weather patterns in the western US are very complex because of altitude changes, mountain ranges and proximity to the vast, cool, Pacific Ocean. Between Spokane and the Columbia River he went through a treeless desert, but Spokane has Sparse Ponderosa Pine forests and you start to get back into that by Elensburgh. Washington is a very beautiful state but the progressive leadership in Western Washington has been anti road since the late 60s, causing traffic to crawl at most times of the day. Freeway speeds rarely top 50 in the Seattle area. I've lived all over the western US and do a lot of driving back and forth. I've seen it all. I find the weather patterns (including air pollution movement patterns) fascinating.
definitely do another road trip again. why? because unlike other reviewers, they talk about mpg based off on the paper but your review is actually the real thing. you put it to the test and its what make your review unique from other. probably go over the car more (idk if you did that on your other video) but great video amd sexy looking sorento
I like this kind of view, highlights of a real life road trip. By the way, I routinely get 27.5 mpg on the highway with my 2016 Sorento Lx fwd with 4 cylinder turbo. Love it.
Hi Dave, I really like your videos and enjoy this road trip version -- it's nice to get a glimpse of the west coast especially since I've only driven there once and I'm from the east coast. I came across your videos because I looking purchase a new car and test drove the Toyota Rav4 hybrid today and decided to check out some reviews on RUclips. I came across your Rav4 video and enjoyed your commentary and video styling, it's fun and entertaining and the editing is great. I liked it so much and appreciate your viewpoint that I ended up watching a bunch of your other video which totally distracted me from my research but I had fun. You are engaging, speak clearly and I can tell you are enjoying yourself. Thanks for doing this. I would love if you could compare small suvs. I'm planning on test driving Subaru Forrester tomorrow and then maybe Hyundai Tucson sport and maybe Mazda CX5.
I definitely liked this video. I have been trying to decide what type of SUV to buy and have enjoyed all of your videos. However, I definitely like the format of this video with impressions about fuel economy, safety features, etc. It would have been cool to see more thoughts on the general comfort and drive-ability in this video. I know you have done them in other videos though. Also, at one point you were about 1.5 miles from my house lol!
Dave, I love this style of video blogging. Sorry it took me so long; I had meant to say that the first day you posted this video. Please keep up the good work.
Hello sir! I'm from the Philippines. And I love watching your car reviews and now this one. I hope you can do another one with more details not just not with the car but how well are those food that your wife made for you. A more real VLOG. Thanks! And keep it up! :)
I definitely would like to see more road trips! but could you talk about luggage space, seat comfortable, anything the annoyed you, road noise on longer trips
Awesome vids Dave, Been debating a 2017 2.4 AWD Santa Fe and a 3.3 6cy Sorento. Back and forth no idea. Do lots of commuting, Santa Fe seems most prudent choice but heard the are shaky on rougher roads, which I travel a lot.
I am loving this video. I would love to see this with a sedan such as the 2016 Hyundai sonata limited , 2017 hyundai elantra or the nissan altima. Something more everyday-ish.
Great video. I'm trying to decide which vehicle to buy mainly for road trips with my wife as we are both retired. The KIA was number two on my list behind the Pilot, but after watching this video the KIA is my first choice.
I am very proud of Kia hope the reliability continues be better than averaged. Sorento is a very nice SUV gets exc gas mileage and everything well equipped for great resale value.
I like the style quite a bit. To maximize the part of MPG updating, just need a bit more description: hilly? flat? traffic? leadfoot? cruise? You did show how cruise worked and did indicate you drove in "normal" NOT eco or sport. Though, would love to know the numbers for same trip in sport. Overall, I like the style of video, just need more info so I can compare how you drive and how I drive to best understand the MPG analysis you offer.
Hi Dave. I have the exact model in black :) Really like the road trip video, you have an excellent way connecting with the viewers. I'm jealous of your video skills and time to do this! I would have done one in the early 90's when I drove from Toronto to Alaska! Keep it the awesome adventures on my behalf!
Great video I appreciate the details. I would have liked more info on the interior size of the vehicle such as 3rd seat option? Im looking at this for a rental car in Costa Rica but needed to make sure there will be room for all of us and the luggage. Keep it up!
Yes I like the road trip but talk more about the car not just about the gas mileage but how the car feel and is it worth to buy. Keep up the good job I do like your videos

YES!!! You should keep doing these types of videos. They give such a good idea about long distant travels, and the pros about the cars!

Loving the blog style. been shopping for a new SUV and you're my first stop for reviews. thanks so much!!
Road trips are the best. ...filled with info on the vehicle. ...more enjoyable to watch this.

I like this style, it gives more insight the MPG, feel ect. Keep this going Dave.
+Kaiser Tuumalo I appreciate it, thank you!
I drive an uk version Sorento 2.2 4cylinder manual 197 bhp returning 38 miles to the gallon @70 mph, great car to own
Love this style of video!!!
I like this commentary on the Sorento as it reflects what to expect under real driving conditions. It also helps my decision making process as I am still uncertain how good the Kia brand is when compared to the big two, i.e. Honda and Toyota.
Washington looks almost as wet as Scotland, didn't think that was possible. All the best Dave, keep up the good work.

Can tell from the video that Washington is a very beautiful state, very reminiscent of Highland Scotland in many respects.

Absolutely enjoyed watching this - touched on practical usage of the instruments instead of just talking through them
Glad I could help.
Consider this another vote in favor of the road trip format. Well done!
Keep up the good work. I have this same exact car- we love it.

Great video. I'm trying to decide which vehicle to buy mainly for road trips with my wife as we are both retired. The KIA was number two on my list behind the Pilot, but after watching this video the KIA is my first choice.
I think the road trip ideal was cool but you should also discuss the wet and dry handling characteristics of the Vehicle
I like the road trip videos. Shows true mpg. Talk about the ride as well.
Great video! This video gives people a personal touch! Keep up the good work!
seeing that you did a road trip helps alot cuz thats why I was looking at this kia

Nice video Dave, thanks!!! More of these please!
Enjoyed the road trip video and the real driving reviews. Please do more when you can.
More of this...it is more reflective of what makes us love or dislike a car.
Excellent video - thinking of buying a Sorento. What is the interior cabin noise like?
Hey I'm just saying what everyone else is love the road trip setting and great video
Great video! Enjoy seeing vehicles in a road trip setting.
+Kyle Pruett Thank you... I hope to do more in the future.
Great video, I like to see how these vehicles preform on the highway also mpg and comfort level on long distances. Thank you.

Great video I appreciate the details. I would have liked more info on the interior size of the vehicle such as 3rd seat option? Im looking at this for a rental car in Costa Rica but needed to make sure there will be room for all of us and the luggage. Keep it up!

Love the road trip video! Keep it up!
My wife and I are getting 30 miles a gallon on our used v6 sorento. I'm really liking it over the junk Chevy equinox that blew up on us.
Nicely done and what a great concept for diving video's. Btw, how well did the AWD do in the rain?
+denault3985 I doubt he did any driving that he would notice.
Nice, keep doing this type of car reviews!
