Which one would you choose and why? Purchase from B&H Photo and support our work Buy the Nikon D5600 from B&H Photo: bhpho.to/2uxzvqK Buy the Canon T7i (800D) from B&H Photo: bhpho.to/2uTFetB
I bought the Cannon T7i. I love the auto focus and have used it with the 18-55 and 55-250mm STM kit lenses. It is really fast to focus and I have not had any complaints about the pictures or video. The nice part is my wife used to travel with the camera and I carried a video camera so I can now do both using the same device. After purchasing my friend told me I should have got the 77D, but to be honest I am fine with having less bells and whistles on the body of the camera. The controls you gain were not really worth the extra $100 to me. Plus if you watch the videos on how to best configure the camera you can easily access menus that do the same thing without having to worry about bumping dials. So I used the savings to get an extra lens. When you are paying this much for a camera I really do not think you can go wrong with either...Nikon and Cannon are both excellent.
I've used them both, I bought the Canon 800D, because I already had canon lenses. My friend had some Nikon lenses and she bought the Nikon. Both camera's are simply great! It's just what you want. Nikon is a little bit better with low light shooting, but Canon is nicer with filming things, because it is smoother. Love them both and they are great for beginners and also some more experienced photographers. So that's my opninion 😊
I almost ordered the nikon but the autofocus killed it for me. I went and got the. I am planning to use it for video so it made sense to choose the canon over the nikon.
I think this is a really good video demonstrating the features, strengths, and weaknesses of these cameras. I really like how you don't keep saying they are "beginner's cameras," and just address them the way they should be addressed. Thank you.
I like how you talk and explain what you got to explain smoothly. It’s the only review I watch that doesn’t full of noisy voices and rush to spell everything out. Thank you very much, it’s helpful.
I have used both Canon and Nikon. The image quality is better and sharper on Nikon, but the Canon is easier to use and it is less aggravating. On a daily basis, I chose the Canon because it is user friendly and the dual pixel autofocus is superb. I sacrifice a very small amount of image quality, but at the end of the day the difference is very small. This video review was very fair.
OK...So for a beginner that will do pics and will do time to time video, what is better to start? Easier to learn, better results, easier to use, and durable....I will have it for a long time. The use of the camera will be portraits, landscape, sports (video and pictures), holidays, beach, snow, forests...etc. I'm looking for the best allrounder between this two.. To be fair, the decision is between the 5500 and the T7i (the advantages of the 5500 vs 5600 don't seduce me)...so there is a important price difference between them
@@darndarndarn sorry for the laye reply... havnt receive the notification of the question T7i.... could not be happier... Great pics...very easy to use if you want fast picture when you are in a hurry. I know this is not a camera intended for video, but beleive it or not my wife recorded a promotion spot with it!!! I have used it on several places (my wife mostly, she is a jurnalist), beach, snow, downhill (i do some DH), family portraits and she has been the photographer of about 7 weddings, also she has take pictures of nature and charity events. The battery last for ever (only once we have run out of it), 64 GB ultra fast card lasts for ever!!!! I bough withthe 55 lens...about 6 month ago I bought a tele lens for my wife, more sutable for her job If you want to take a fast picture with everything in auto, take your time and take a nice semi pro picture, make great videos (the dual pixel is AWESOME..), search the pictures.... easy of use..... you name it... this is it... Im a happy owner (and my wife) For us...the best camera ever!!! The wifi app for the phone is amazing. This is almost a 2 year use and abuse...and a report... and a LOT of abuse.. my wife does not take much care for it and use it about 3 times a week... Hope this this is useful
Great DETAILED tech review on two solid DSLR competitors! I'm FINALLY "graduating" from my Canon SX50 HS (great piece of gear btw). It's funny that I've had my SX50 HS for over 5 years, but it was discovering and recently (less than ONE month) education myself on how to understand and use the Manual or Pro mode features on my Galaxy S9, then learning on my Canon that I've met my equipment's limitations for particular types of shooting goals. A DSLR is the appropriate next purchase and even though I've ALWAYS been a Canon Fan, it's more important to make a future purchase based on my immediate requirements and the gear's potential to accept performance upgrades. With my "week's worth" of researching various sources and your comparison video, my decision to pull the trigger on the near-future purchase of the T7i feels SOLID, for the toe of photography I enjoy doing and looks capable for me to expand into other shooting styles too! Manual mode is now my "Go To" on either my S9 or SX50 HS, but I still use Automatic when I want to establish a "settings baseline" for the particular shooting environment I may be in. Great job on producing, editing, and sharing this detail-filled, fair-comparison based, informative video! ⚔️☠️⚔️
I'm an American in the ministry living in South Africa. We need a good camera for our work here. Your video has helped us out alot. God bless you and we've subscribed!
Yours is the only srnsible review out of dozens i saw in 5600. You talked about the aperture changing issue in live view it's practical issue. Others just compare the specs like robots.
The Nikon D5600 seems a bit smaller, more streamlined and ergonomical for a better feel in the hand. On the Technical side, Nikon cameras have a greater dynamic range (picks up more colours) and no low pass filter, resulting in still images which are more detailed and better quality overall. the D5600 also has a slightly larger touch screen and sensor than the Canon 800d. BUT. Canon user interface is more user friendly. And Canon is far better in terms of video due to the dual cross type focus system. Such a conundrum.
You have very nicely summed up most of the differences. I would add that the T7i is better and easier to do video with- the STM lenses are so smooth and quiet. Nikon does not offer that with the D5600 but since making this video they offer their af-p videos which do a better job of video focus.
Yes due to how nikon brings out colors, many people recommend the camera as a beginner astrophotography camera. Hoping on getting the camera after I buy myself a nice camcorder. If you want to do film, seriously pick a good camcorder. (Or buy yourself the panasonic gx 85. Takes video in 4k, mirrorless, but is 16 mp instead of 24. Btw that's the only things I know about it. Havent done as much research)
If you can't make up your mind on these 2 cameras: Having bought my first DSLR (specifically the D5600), I can say one thing. Whenever I shoot stills, I almost never use Live View. If you're not looking at shooting video, I think there's no need to turn down the Nikon because of its limited Live View capabilities.
Great video and great reasons to choice the 800D (t7i). Every time that I consider buy a Nikon camera I remember that we can't change some settings and we can't see some preview how the video will be record... (sorry my English) I don't know why Nikon do this with their products...
@@ZortexDubstep nah, don't use manual focus while in videography most of the time. Hollywood uses manual focus as they have crews. You're a one man videographer. AF on videos are necessary
I'm looking to get on of these which is best for portrait or modeling photography while also being able to use live view to view the image before its taken?
Please help me i dont know what to pick between 800D canon or d5600 nikon, for my first DSLR ever! i really CAN'T take my decision i do like both of them, i will do everyday photos and learn photography ( i dont know yet if i'll do videos) thanks for your answer sir have a good day!
str pick a canon. Only advantage nikon have( i started off with d5500) is slightly better image quality and unless you shall be doing high end product photography, it is difficult to notice the slightly better image quality( commonly referred to as IQ) As for the canon, you get slightly better user experience especially for a beginner. You get slightly cheaper native lenses from canon as compared to nikon. You get better live view and video autofocus.
Did you buy it? I'm almost in the same spot that you...but comparing the 5500 vs the T7i, the "advantages" of the 5600 NFC and that stuff I don't need it...
Yes, in D5600 I had to change the movie setting to turn off the manual setting first to capture with manual lense (which I switch to liveview mode and need to focus the object ofc) in lowlight situation. If not, I cant change the shutter speed to below 1/25. Hey can I ask you a question, what about with the Nikon Z6 & Z7? Are these lense have the same cons like D5600 has? Thanks for replying
@@F14-l2q yeah, if your interested in like just learning how to do it, it’s amazing. Simple and takes good photos. If you want to get into photography this is the camera
Another reason to choose for Canon T7I. I already have a good collection of expensive Canon lenses I can use use in the T7i. On the other side, if I go for Nikon, then to get a good Nikon lens is going to cost me a least $1,000 because usually the kit lens that comes with this cameras is not what I need, or they are cheap glass
I was on the phone with Canon support for my t7i and I casually mentioned to them "I bought the t7i because it seemed to me to be almost exactly a 80D but for less money" and their reply was "it is exactly the same camera" haha so there you have it.
So if for some reason you got bored you could make a quick 30 second video telling people that the T7i and the 80D are the same dang camera haha people need to know! Love ya man.
Interesting, before I even knew this video was available, my research of DSLR cameras ground down to these two models … Nikon D5600 & Canon T7i. After agonizing over the two for a weekend, I decided on the Canon T7i because of the auto focus points and the dual pixel sensor. (sorry, not really the identifying names). I also felt the Canon was more user-friendly and operates in two assist modes, one primarily for beginners. I also latched onto the expert opinions that the Canon was for beginners but also included more moderately experienced users, leaving me with a desired growth path once I got used to the camera. After all of the above and maybe a few other "things", but in the interest of some brevity here, I moved to getting the best bang for the buck with a bundle deal somewhere. Oddly, searching end of December 2019, after the holidays, there were a host of deals out there and I settled on a bundle that included 3 kit lenses (holy trinity), two bags, filters, macro & UV, cleaning kit, flash, 64gig high speed SD card & tripod along with the expected accessories to make the camera function …. battery/charger strap etc. At a total of $911 I think I got a good deal and an excellent base on which to start. The bundle really made me feel more comfortable with my decision as less was offered with the Nikon. Frankly, I think I would have been happy with either camera, but I fell on the Canon side of the fence.
I really like that T7i. It's a good size to fit in my hands, and the focus systems in viewfinder or live look great. The only thing I worry about missing is autofocus micro adjustment. A better hit rate on time limited shots is a major reason I might move up a size from an SL1. If I get three mid-grade zooms and a couple primes, am I likely to miss AFMA?
I see that manufacturers are still only offering slight modifications to prior models. No significant breakthroughs. After a ton of research last year, the pros & cons among the competitors were basically the same. I ended up with the D5500 for my needs and am very happy with the purchase and focus on my photography and never even think about new gear.
Some very good points. Especially the lack of exposure preview on Nikons. I am leaning toward the Sony SLT A77II. I don't shoot video. The best Canon APS-C sensor is still behind the SLT shaded Sony from 2014. The A6500 is just not enough camera--maybe Sony will put its guts in something more substantial? APS-C DSLRs have mirror/shutter shock. Micro Four-Thirds lenses look very underwhelming/overpriced.
Matthew Huizing *A Mount still going strong* Greater Focusing Power for Sport Photography & Low Light, than E Mount. and _SLT just achieved perfection, because now loaded with brilliant low light sensor_ Also, in the future, maybe Sony need A Mount to fight with Mirrorless F & FE Mount. *A Mount Product Cycle* : Semi Pro Bodies : 3 years Pro Bodies : 4 years
For a beginner mainly interested in photography, would you recommend the nikon d5500 or d5600 or canon t7i or SL2? Which would be the best bang for the buck?
Awesome video!!! I'd definitely go with the t7i if I didn't already have two 80d cameras! I'd like to hear your thoughts on sigma's new 24-70mm, then the image quality compared to the 18-35mm!
I went with the t7i because as being new and not sure of how everything works. The Canon tells you what it's doing when you start to play with the controls. I have not seen any videos on any other camera that does that.
Canon. Nikon is overly complicated and for the minuscule improvement in DR, it’s better to go with a camera that is vastly better in all other areas including video.
As a beginner I don't even understand half the things you said were wrong with each lol I'm dying to get into low light and night photography and have a budget of around 500, any reccomendations?
Thank you for your videos, I am always fallowing, thx. I have a question, I shoot mostly people with my Canon 6D with 24-105 but I am interested in a lighter smaller body, I have come pretty much to deciding for the Canon SL2 for my travel and more recreational casual photography, it checks most of my boxes with weight, lens selection, touch and flip screen, size, sensor, wifi, dual pixel focus etc. All except for the Focus points just 9 focus old style Canon. The other option that keeps appearing in my radar would be a 77D (skip the t7i) but is bigger, heavier and quite bit more expensive but with a more sophisticated Auto focus. Would you comment or stir me to the right direction? Thank you in advance
canon t7i or nikon d5500 which camera is better for still normal photography (I don't need to shoot videos)?? I just want to know that which camera has the better image quality and more clear picture.
To be fair, though, most of the tech in the D5600 is 3 generations old. The only real difference between it and the D5300 is that you lose gps, gain touch screen, and your WiFi's infected by SnapBridge. So, it might as well be D5300 vs 800D, and then just get the D5300 because it costs half as much.
That's true of the Canon too - they don't put much cutting edge technology in these entry-ish level models. The D5300 is certainly a fantastic bargain.
Oh, really? I was always under the impression that Canon had stepped up their game a bit on the T#i models over the last 2-3 generations. I know at the time when I was looking for a camera that could do video with a flippy out LCD, the D5300 had the anti-aliasing filter removed and could do 1080p60, where as the Canon still had its AA filter, and couldn't. Those were the two big points for me, but then the video was the whole reason I ended up getting a D5300. I just wish Nikon's higher end bodies had the flippy out LCD like the Canon crop (and now some full frame) bodies do, then I wouldn't have had to buy an extra camera for just one purpose. :)
Honestly the only thing Canon has going for it is the Dual Pixel AF - that and the general ease of use. And while it is nice that they have DPAF in these lower level models they haven't really done anything else innovating in quite a while :(
PhotoRec TV That is true and I bought the Nikon D5500 thanks to your review off it plus it does have great battery life and I have four batteries for it. It is great for street photography in London England. I do wish that Nikon put all the stuff they put in the Nikon D7500 into both the Nikon D5500 and Nikon D5600 and a dual sd card slot like Panasonic and Fuji have done with the xt2 and GH5 respectively. Then that would be a great uograde

Wish I would've watched this about two hours earlier. I just ordered the D5600 today with overnight delivery. My first DSLR (first real camera, actually). Good information and good presentation of it. Thanks.
I know this is kind of late, but how are you liking your D5600? I've had mine now (first ever dslr) for almost 2 months. And for a starter camera, I have absolutely no complaints. I use it mainly for video. I really enjoy, I mean I actually look forward to going out and shooting videos and practicing with it.
If this were a first camera, I'd choose the better image of the Nikon. Me, I have canon lens and that made the choice go to the Canon. I've been happy with the T7i and paired with a sharp lens (24mm 2.8) image quality is excellent.

I bought the D5600, as my first ever DSLR. Feels great in your hand, nice photos. But I am still not convinced why any amateur photographer would choose a camera over their smartphone's camera...
Xe M a camera will give so much more options and better photos if you know how to adjust settings (iso shutter speed etc..). Go from full auto to manual and you will see there is a big difference between smartphones and a dslr and especially in low lights situations.
Smartphones cameras are never a good match when printing a large photo. Even an old Canon XT, 8 megapixels camera that I own, gives me excellent prints size 20x20 inches. Now, try printing a 18 megapixel photo from a smartphone in the same size and you will see how dissapointed are the results
Very nice review. I watched plenty of them but you explain / compare just what I need to hear. Originally, I was leaning toward D5500 but now I feel like T6i or T7i might be my final decision.
Glad I could help. Feel free to ask followup questions if you have any. And once you buy - watch ruclips.net/video/YAt4315-uH4/видео.html and ruclips.net/video/nODUWChwfMU/видео.html
I really liked the detail in your review. The information I found to be very helpful in choosing Between Nikon and Canon. It was detailed enough but not overwhelming. Thanks much keep up the good work
Thank you for the review. I purchased this camera online and I recieved the 800D. From what I researched online it shows they are the same camera apart from the name depending on the region its purchased from. My question is should I return it for the T7i or just keep it?
Nice and informative video. My T2i's shutter broke and I am thinking to get either t7i or t6i and don't know which one to choose. I saw their differences, but would like to know which one is better when shooting indoor and in low light.
Hello! Very informative video. I'm on the fence between the d5600 and the SL2. Offered to me at the same price. My last camera was a d40x (do not have anymore). I use a gopro lots for video. Any advice?
I am so torn. I mainly want to take photos (not interested in video) of cars at car shows and meets - Many of which happen in the evening/night. Having the faster fps in the Canon, with the much larger buffer, would be useful when taking shots of moving vehicles at the racetrack... However, the Nikon has got slightly superior image quality and low-light performance... But it is decidedly older now and I suppose a 55 or 53 hundred would be a better buy? Gah!
Or spend a little more and get the D7200 :) It has the speed of the Canon and the low light performance of the D5600. Hope I didn't make your decision harder.
I just bought a canon T7i and the more comparison videos i watch the more confusef i get, if i have made a right choice or not? Your comment will help a lot. Thanks
Just want to point out an important thing. For all who makes comparison Nikon/Canon. If you want to step to FX one day. on Nikon you can get same lens for FX with same mount, so you can start to buy your FX gear step by step still being on DX. On canon you are forced to sell all your gear and buy new lenses and body 'cause the Mount is different and this is much more demanding in term of costs
What? Every canon EF lens will fit on their ASP-C cameras. It's been that way since they started using the EF mount.. To go FF, the only thing you have to do is buy the camera body.
I’m planning to buy dslr as my first ever real camera coz I love photography. I love making videos as well, so which one would you recommend? I’m still confuse what to choose. Please!!
Thanks for an excellent video. Hard to believe Nikon even released the D5600 with video bugs. In a comparative market, the release of a problem feature doesn't just dissuade me from buying a specific model camera, but leaves me wondering how nefarious the corporate culture is to promote X features while knowing Y features are sub-par.
I remember you saying The One You'd Walk Out The Door With. I don't remember you saying, but I am edging sooooo slightly more to Canon. Also I've heard Nikon images are more for Tweaking for maximum results, unlike Canon, which are almost There without a lot of edit. What have you found in this regard? Thx....I know from shopping I want my first DSLR in 2021vs. going Mirrorless!
Hi, I have a D5600 and a DX 35mm 1.8G. I like to shoot with primes and interested in 50mm & 85mm. But these are FX lenses and I am worried about their use on an APS-C. Should I get them or invest in a better DX Zoom? Also what are your thoughts on Nikon 10-20 AF-P & 70-300 AF-P.
I'm looking for a new camera with good auto focus options as I've been asked to film a wedding, and atm I think it's gonna be hard on the Nikon D5300. Considering the Canon, but I know their Codec sucks, and it matters alot when you're a film maker. Same goes for low light and low noise.... I think i'm gonna wait for better offerings. Untill then my Nikon D5300 will have to get the job done.
Using autofocus on the nikon will be rough :( if you can swing it so that the shots are static, no movement out of the plane of focus it will be just fine, get focus, switch to manual and hit record. Or think about renting - Canon 80D or 5D mark IV - sure their codecs are great but the produce decent video and are so easy to use. GH5 is another option.
I bought the D5600 for my daughter that loves to take photos, and I think there might be some pictures taken on my son driving kart, so I hope I didn't make a wrong choise not buying the Canon..
All I care about is still photography, I am starting a class for college. We will be shown Manual control of cameras. Which of these two would be better?
Honestly both are excellent and very little difference. You might want to see what else people in the class are using because if you buy same brand you can share lenses etc. Overall I think the Canon is a little easier to work with.
Thanks a lot! it is also good for the deep sky? galaxys ,nebulas or planets? i dont know which way to take cause i already have one catadioptric telescope c8" celestron sg5 xlt and i dont know if is better to attach the dslr on it or buy some lens for the camera?which way you prefer for better quality pictures? i really appreciate your help!!
Please help me. Which camera should I buy between cannon 800d and Nikon d5600? I will shoot nature and landscape photos mostly but I also want good video... Is there's a huge difference in low light?
I am learning photography and I'm deciding between those two cameras. So basically it's all summed up to whether I'm going to do video and "action" photos, right? I'm not a video guy but I don't know if "action" photos will be something frequent. And, as you said, Nikon has better quality on stills. Do you think the advantage Nikon has on stills is considerable or is the kind of difference that you only see on very particular photos, with very meticulous analysis?
My pick would be the T7i as it offers more of what I particularly would care for in a DSLR camera and because I am only a pro-want-a-be. Another good reason is that of the past cameras I have owned my current Cannon is my favorite and I would like very much to move up t the T7i.
I’m going to be shooting sports photography (horse riding) and looking for an affordable but good camera. What cameras would you recommends? I was looking into getting the Nikon D5600
I bought a 77D 3 weeks ago and I am in Sri Lanka. This is one of the channels I followed during my research. So, thanks for the help. Since the 77D and T7i are close, and I was planning to buy the T7i, I will say what I like. There is nothing I don't like about it, but I hate Nikon in video focus! I ruled out the a6300 because it is a mirror-less. Why power up an sensor and process the image when it can all be done with optics.
I love the concept of mirrorless, but I am uncomfortable with mirror-less because they always need to do image processing to populate the evf. Battery is the concern. The DSLR in the other hand, just uses a mirror, simple and effective, though a little bulky... Been a little bulky my self ( :D ) I don't mind a bulky camera... This is not a issue the mirror less can ever overcome. How ever efficient they make it to be, it won't be close to what the DLSR could do. But mirror-less has the advantage of been able to process the image in real time, find an eye for example and focus on to it, like the A9, and nail it. Focus peaking is another advantage DSLRs will never get ahead of mirrorless. I am an engineer, just interested in playing around cameras. I don't need the possibly better image quality mirror less can offer. THus I chose the more efficient option. I also see Cannon have a decent selection of lenses for a decent price. And then there is the fact, may be next time I need to update, there might not be DLSRs, so I can tell tails to my grand children about the time of the DSLRs ;)
I used a Nikon D5100 for the last 5 years. Making videos is absolutely impossible and I am looking for a new camera that makes very sharp pictures (mostly for vacations and cars), but I also want to make video’s. I like Nikon a lot so my first choice was the 5500/5600, but now I just don’t know it anymore since the Canon is way better in filming :( Is the image quality that much worse from the Canon??
which one is better for me specifically for the photography like landscape and wedding photography potrait photography...??? I Nikon d5600 aor canon 800d 750D or 200d... I Iam confused with that 3 cameras help me??? from India
I own the 70D and I'd stay on Canon just for the video autofocus. I can't give up doing smooth video of insects, spiders and animals in general. And the video quality is fine for me. I just don't understand why there is no 1080P60FPS on the 70D.
Sell your 70D and buy a refurb 80D for $800. 1080P60 plus you can use wifi and control the video from your phone, something that is locked out of the 70D
In your opinion, out of the two cameras which one would be ideal and relevant now to start a RUclips channel to promote my product I’m selling for my website?
Which one would you choose and why?

Great to hear! How are you satisfied concerning picture quality in stills?
I have seen people saying canon color is better, smoother.. what do you think?
Everyone forgets that not everyone is out there shooting videos ....

I bough withthe 55 lens...about 6 month ago I bought a tele lens for my wife, more sutable for her job
If you want to take a fast picture with everything in auto, take your time and take a nice semi pro picture, make great videos (the dual pixel is AWESOME..), search the pictures.... easy of use..... you name it... this is it... Im a happy owner (and my wife)
For us...the best camera ever!!!
Glad I could help. Thanks!
Snapbridge image transfer is now flawless with new update.....good job Nikon
If you can't make up your mind on these 2 cameras:
Having bought my first DSLR (specifically the D5600), I can say one thing. Whenever I shoot stills, I almost never use Live View.
If you're not looking at shooting video, I think there's no need to turn down the Nikon because of its limited Live View capabilities.
Thanks for doing a concise real review of these 2 DSLR and not just specs comparison.
I have always had excellent experiences with Canon Products and find them to me more user friendly and more thoughtfully laid out for my uses.
Great video and great reasons to choice the 800D (t7i). Every time that I consider buy a Nikon camera I remember that we can't change some settings and we can't see some preview how the video will be record... (sorry my English) I don't know why Nikon do this with their products...
I love how your comparisons not only have the specifications. But also lovely comparisons from both cameras! 😊
Photographer d5600
Videographer t7i
That's mostly fair.
Bp Rijal videographer and cinematographers use manual focus therefore Nikon which has the better image quality would be best.
@@ZortexDubstep nah, don't use manual focus while in videography most of the time. Hollywood uses manual focus as they have crews. You're a one man videographer. AF on videos are necessary
Very helpful. I wanted a Camara for picture quality over video.

Only advantage nikon have( i started off with d5500) is slightly better image quality and unless you shall be doing high end product photography, it is difficult to notice the slightly better image quality( commonly referred to as IQ)
As for the canon, you get slightly better user experience especially for a beginner.
You get slightly cheaper native lenses from canon as compared to nikon.
You get better live view and video autofocus.
str t7i
Did you buy it? I'm almost in the same spot that you...but comparing the 5500 vs the T7i, the "advantages" of the 5600 NFC and that stuff I don't need it...
Yes, in D5600 I had to change the movie setting to turn off the manual setting first to capture with manual lense (which I switch to liveview mode and need to focus the object ofc) in lowlight situation.
If not, I cant change the shutter speed to below 1/25.
Hey can I ask you a question, what about with the Nikon Z6 & Z7? Are these lense have the same cons like D5600 has? Thanks for replying
When I got my camera recently these 2 were my choices for my price point. I went with the Nikon.
Kaito Shijo is it good? I’m wanting to get one but after watching idk
I got it (Nikon) It is really good for photo not for video as much. It’s a photo camera really
@@tobyfuller9453 so would you recomment it also for a complete beginner (just for taking photos because for the videos I use my Gopro)?
@@F14-l2q yeah, if your interested in like just learning how to do it, it’s amazing. Simple and takes good photos. If you want to get into photography this is the camera
@@tobyfuller9453 thank you very much :)
i'd chose the canon for the same reasons. the small difference in size and weight is ok for me.
I have the 800d. Great camera i dont know what quality youre talking about its great.
Another reason to choose for Canon T7I. I already have a good collection of expensive Canon lenses I can use use in the T7i. On the other side, if I go for Nikon, then to get a good Nikon lens is going to cost me a least $1,000 because usually the kit lens that comes with this cameras is not what I need, or they are cheap glass
thank you! very clear i take alot of pictures so D5600 :)
You got a great camera and accessories there! Now get out and get shooting :)
Now that I've began vlogging on RUclips a month ago, I should've went with the T7i when comparing the two at Best Buy 14 months ago.
Simple: Canon t7i for video, Nikon for photo
Thank you for the work and expiernce you have using these cameras!
You probably won't miss AFMA. And you can always switch to live view which is more accurate and doesn't use AFMA even in the cameras that offer it.
Thanks for the perspective. Your direct approach on what matters is a big draw, and I like the spoilers.
I see that manufacturers are still only offering slight modifications to prior models. No significant breakthroughs. After a ton of research last year, the pros & cons among the competitors were basically the same. I ended up with the D5500 for my needs and am very happy with the purchase and focus on my photography and never even think about new gear.
I did the same too. And I am not disappointed either!
I really wonder about the future of Sony's a-mount line. I would hold out and hope for a more substantial a6500 in the next year.

Nice review on the two cameras. Easy to follow if you are new to photography. Thank you!
"I spend myself finding" lol!
For a beginner mainly interested in photography, would you recommend the nikon d5500 or d5600 or canon t7i or SL2? Which would be the best bang for the buck?
sl2
Nicely done by sticking to things that really matters.
Awesome video!!! I'd definitely go with the t7i if I didn't already have two 80d cameras! I'd like to hear your thoughts on sigma's new 24-70mm, then the image quality compared to the 18-35mm!
I hope to test and review several of those new ART series lenses soon.
Nikon d5600 or Canon 800d,
Which would be better?
I went with the t7i because as being new and not sure of how everything works. The Canon tells you what it's doing when you start to play with the controls. I have not seen any videos on any other camera that does that.
Canon.
Nikon is overly complicated and for the minuscule improvement in DR, it’s better to go with a camera that is vastly better in all other areas including video.
As a beginner I don't even understand half the things you said were wrong with each lol
I'm dying to get into low light and night photography and have a budget of around 500, any reccomendations?
I just want to know that which camera has the better image quality and more clear picture.
i'm still using a Nikon D60, but am looking to upgrade, so either one of these camera's would be a better one for me
1:56 Is the focusing problem due to Nikon lens or the camera specs

Have you ever tried taking a picture of something more than 50 yards away with a smartphone?
Smartphones cameras are never a good match when printing a large photo. Even an old Canon XT, 8 megapixels camera that I own, gives me excellent prints size 20x20 inches. Now, try printing a 18 megapixel photo from a smartphone in the same size and you will see how dissapointed are the results
At full size, most phone cam pics have a nasty artificial look because they're applying so much noise reduction and sharpening.

Nikon d5600 unless you plan to do video and you want easy autofocus.
PhotoRec TV thank you!

Can we change iso and shutter speed manually while we are recording a video in nikon d5600?
Just want to point out an important thing. For all who makes comparison Nikon/Canon. If you want to step to FX one day. on Nikon you can get same lens for FX with same mount, so you can start to buy your FX gear step by step still being on DX. On canon you are forced to sell all your gear and buy new lenses and body 'cause the Mount is different and this is much more demanding in term of costs
Canon EF lenses are designed to work with full frame and APS-C DSLRs
Please!!
Which of the 2 would you recommend for landscape pics?
D5600 is a great camera!
I have the cam Canon EOS 800D! And I like the way he take pictures! But it's a lot of money. I work lot for that😣😬
Please do low light image comparison
Urvil Singh The D5600 destroys the Canon T7i at high ISO
All I care about is still photography, I am starting a class for college. We will be shown Manual control of cameras. Which of these two would be better?
Honestly both are excellent and very little difference. You might want to see what else people in the class are using because if you buy same brand you can share lenses etc. Overall I think the Canon is a little easier to work with.
Great video, without all the bla bla bla.

Nikon.
Please help me. Which camera should I buy between cannon 800d and Nikon d5600? I will shoot nature and landscape photos mostly but I also want good video... Is there's a huge difference in low light?
Canon 200d or nikon d5600 which should i buy?
I am learning photography and I'm deciding between those two cameras. So basically it's all summed up to whether I'm going to do video and "action" photos, right? I'm not a video guy but I don't know if "action" photos will be something frequent. And, as you said, Nikon has better quality on stills.
Do you think the advantage Nikon has on stills is considerable or is the kind of difference that you only see on very particular photos, with very meticulous analysis?
Honestly, they are quite similar in day to day shooting. You have to look closely to really see a difference.
I choose canon t7i based on prev positive experience with t5i
Which one is better for astrophotography C800D or ND5600 :?
Buen video, que lente usas en la Nikon ?
So for time lapse, the Nikon D5600?
Sure!
Glad I could help. Not sure what you mean about the mirroless camera but as long as you are happy - get out there and shoot!
I don't need the possibly better image quality
mirror less can offer.
Get the GX9.
I already bought the Canon M50! But thanks.
Personally, i use the DSLR's for photos only, so id rather go for the D5600. Thanks for the info!
which one is better for me specifically for the photography like landscape and wedding photography potrait photography...??? I Nikon d5600 aor canon 800d 750D or 200d... I Iam confused with that 3 cameras help me??? from India
Nikon D5600
Canon 200D best photography & Videography....believe me...because I'm using canon 200D so best dslr..😍
I own the 70D and I'd stay on Canon just for the video autofocus. I can't give up doing smooth video of insects, spiders and animals in general. And the video quality is fine for me.
I just don't understand why there is no 1080P60FPS on the 70D.
Because Canon is now very slow to push video features and the 70D is several years old.
PhotoRec TV huh
Sell your 70D and buy a refurb 80D for $800. 1080P60 plus you can use wifi and control the video from your phone, something that is locked out of the 70D
In your opinion, out of the two cameras which one would be ideal and relevant now to start a RUclips channel to promote my product I’m selling for my website?
