Played all the Splinter Cell games since the original and always been an avid fan. Blacklist is right up there in my opinion as a good game. Sure I was raging initially when they changed out Michael Ironside and I would still and always have him back in a heartbeat to the games, but I got used to him not being Sam in BL (eventually).
Holy crap this game has so many locations! I cannot wait to see how many levels it has. We already know it has 14 co-op missions so I wonder how many single-player missions it has! This is going to be epic! Plus it was just announced that the game went golden. Which means it is releasing even earlier for critics which shows that the developers are very enthusiastic and passionate that their work will do well. I am so happy for Maxime Béland and the team! Keep up the awesome work!
The voice is weird but its not bad and people saying the bonuses are worth the pre-order but if your getting it you might as well also alot of places give you extra bonuses such as gamestop splinter cell was the first game i played at 3 yr old and i dont mind them doing some changes its for the best
very good trailer. goes over a lot of content in the game. i like the epic buildup at the end of the trailer. get's me pumped to play. looks like a lot of fun.
I know right! I'm from Finland (the country to the north of Estonia) and I would've been so excited to see Finland! But I'm really excited to play in a country that's almost never been used in any game so I'm definitely not disappointed - I'm the complete opposite of that!
Lol I remember when they first showed gameplay for this game everyone was pissed off cause they thought "It's not splinter cell anymore", and "It's gonna suck". Well look at it now. It's badass.
It's pretty good with a nice campaign lenght, cool multiplayer and coop and a lot of replayability. If you are into this kind of game, it's worth getting.
This in the only franchise that has consistantly created top quality value for money games that single player, coop and multiplayer are equality as good
Both are equally important, along with soundtrack/voice overs. As a gamer I'm always looking out for the game(s) that fully deliver the entire package. I'm really hoping that GTA V is that game.
It helps to think that Same gained some serious injuries after a mission off-screen that made him have to get new vocal cords... But it was either prepubescent child or that.
Man i cant wait to get this game. I love how y'all are still complaining about this not being splinter cell any more and it's nothing but shooting. The game gives you multiple choice to play from Ghost,Panther and assault and for those who would say " we want to be force that we have to play stealth" there are higher difficulties such as perfectionist mode were you can't use the Mark & execute.
But that's why I think it would be such a great thing. He's already taken on the role of Lambert seeing as he's heading up 4th Echelon. De-aging Fisher isn't doing the character any favour and I think it would be a super interesting dynamic. Lambert was by the books and Sam as the agent wasn't. Sam is now heading up 4th Ech and Briggs is totally by the books so it would have been cool to see them clash heads.
lol in my case with SC:Conviction, The first level is held in my country, Malta! Where Sam is sitting at a cafe or something and a waiter comes and gives you the phone on a tray if i remember correctly! And not only that, It took place IN MY HOMETOWN, VALLETTA, AND IN A STREET WHERE I REGULARLY PASS FOM!! Me and my friends are still like WTF from that time. I loved ubisoft ever since for that.
I can see everyone is hating the. Sam Fisher's new but u guys have to understand I heard the previous voice actor has some concerning medical issues we at least must be happy on what we have
I can't wait! The only splinter cell game I have is double agent and I got bored with it time ago.Im going to play the shit out of this game and have a lot of fun :D
u dont need to use it, it will be my first splinter cell, but i simply love stealth games so i will play it one time normal, using all stuff i got just to get to know every thing, but then i will do it on perfectionist mode(no sonar googles and no mark and execute)and just ghost through it ;)
no, your right I aint from america. 1000 yards is 914 meters mhm i didnt know that i really aprecicate that info so thx for " clearfy another thing" . You learn someting new everyday.
Ubisoft make so many trailers for their games, give us avout one or two good ones and then let us wait and find out how good it is. I know they wanna promote the game but they already have a vast fan base.
It'd probably help, but I don't think it's totally necessary. And I don't really play these games for stories, so... I wouldn't bother going out of my way to play the past games. I mean, I have played them, but if I were in your shoes, I'd get the previous games not to understand the story, but to enjoy the past game's gameplay.
They really want us to buy this shit. They're gonna show us maybe five more dam trailers. I never been so excited for splinter cell when they were going to make conviction OPEN WORLD. but changed minds for this
Sam Fisher's date of birth was confirmed in Double Agent as being 1957...which would put him at 56 (plus you have to take in to account his daughter is a fully grown woman now). You can't deny that the character in Blacklist looks younger than 56. Obviously Michael Ironside isn't going to publicly say he disagrees with Ubisofts actions but note that he has never actively gone out of his way to give it a blessing....
obvious troll is obvious. tho if you are serious, its country on coast of baltic sea. Its currently one of leading IT nations, despite only having 1,3 million people and only 22 years since regaining independence from USSR (sidenote- Estonia played rather important role in collapse of USSR- seek out "singing revolution" (event and movie) and "baltic way" (event)) if you want more facts about Estonia, feel free to contact :D
Im gonna enjoy the hell out of this game and as for that nagging 'Ironside's not there' thought in my head... ill keep telling myself... "Its a remake Its a remake Its a remake..."
People bitch a lot about this game; but the game isn't shown as good in trailers as it is in the real gameplay, but as a long time series fan I can say that Ubisoft never lets down and this will be the best SC sequel ever :D
lol guess you cant really blame them having their country represented in such a blockbuster. All i knew about Estonia was that you're big on Eurovision and Skype was made by an Estonian, and Now you're Featured in Splinter Cell!!!!
Already in the first SC you could already gun everybody down. You just need to be efficient with single bullet headshots. In this game you only carry 20 pistol bullets at the start. If I remember correctly, in the first SC that was way more.
Maybe that means the voice actor is actually... TAKING HIS ROLE SERIOUSLY? lol but yeah, the voice actor knows how important this character is and he is taking it seriously (from what I can tell from the videos i've seen on him). I wish his voice was a bit raspier, but oh well. I just hope this game is longer than Conviction. Conviction was just too short.
This voice goes better with the new Fisher that now has hair. Double Agent that had no hair was a marvaleous voice choice. If they ever make a movie Of splinter Cell movie VinDiesel is perfect for Sam Fisher.
What I loved about Conviction was the civilian part of the scenario, the fact that he wasn't acting as he did for money, but rather for a personal story, like in Absolution. This game looks good, but not very creative. Other than those perspectives, I must say it looks promising! (One more thing, it's 2013, come on Ubisoft upgrade the graphics)!
yea, but I'm not talking about that raiden, I'm talking about the raiden from MGS2, before he was a cyborg, the entire game he and his girlfriend are bitching about what day it is

At 6:51, that song is from Mirawa mission when you go Assault, is amazing, one of the best songs of the game, it reminds me of Inception a little bit.
Liking this game so far. Great mix of classic Splinter Cell and newer features. Could have called it Splinter Cell Conviction Theory ;)
I know right! I'm from Finland (the country to the north of Estonia) and I would've been so excited to see Finland! But I'm really excited to play in a country that's almost never been used in any game so I'm definitely not disappointed - I'm the complete opposite of that!
Wasn't really into it, but this trailer sold me on the game, looks awesome
Lol I remember when they first showed gameplay for this game everyone was pissed off cause they thought "It's not splinter cell anymore", and "It's gonna suck". Well look at it now. It's badass.
When i read the description i kept thinking of the song with those lyrics.
It's pretty good with a nice campaign lenght, cool multiplayer and coop and a lot of replayability. If you are into this kind of game, it's worth getting.
This looks WAY better than before, I think I'll preorder
Not a big Splinter Cell fan, but if this comes to next-gen, I will probably pick it up.
same here! I grew up in Portland, Maine and that was a map in the DLC
cant wait for it, looks awesome.
Glad I could help clarify. If you aren't American like myself, the top comment says 1000 yards is 914 meters.
3:19 - That's my kind of armor for stealth....fckin' awesome.
I am getting The Bureau and this the same day. Going to be a great week!
Can't...wait...!
This in the only franchise that has consistantly created top quality value for money games that single player, coop and multiplayer are equality as good
One hell of a trailer!

All this needs is michael ironside's voice and it's platinum for me.
lol in my case with SC:Conviction, The first level is held in my country, Malta! This game looks phenomenal. Got my fingers crossed for deniable ops coming back. It will be epic either way though.
looks like a great game! have not played splinter cell since the gamecube came out.
Keeps us wanting more. Just 12 more days...
Anyone else think it's pretty cool that Morris O' Brian is the leader of the engineers?
i got that he was a sniper but not the rest of it, thx m8 that helped alot.
Stunned
That flying drone sam uses remembered me of the little robot Snake has
so he knows his strength and weakness. so the engineers are prepared when he comes bet its goanna be like the most stealthiest mission.
Very nice trailer, I enjoyed that a lot, can't wait to play this game!! Best game ever!!! :D
I can see everyone is hating the. Sam Fisher's new but u guys have to understand I heard the previous voice actor has some concerning medical issues we at least must be happy on what we have
Remember when watching videos regardless of HD it's always compressed.
I can't wait! The only splinter cell game I have is double agent and I got bored with it time ago.Im going to play the shit out of this game and have a lot of fun :D

OMG! Multiplayer with FPS vs. Stealth. THIS GAME ARE GOING TO BE AWESOME!
We will miss you Michael Ironside ;(
Man, that's been an insane amount of info and visuals... sometimes less is more, I guess...
Anyone else "Like" this for the description.....Priceless!
Looks like splinter cell is going back to its roots :)
Hope it'll be long enough to try out all those gadgets
im REALLY pumped for this game.
This looks better than i expected. More good, old Sam. But i miss the voice of Ironside.
Is that Matt Dannevik of machinima in the checked shirt?
Can't wait to play this game
no, your right I aint from america. 1000 yards is 914 meters mhm i didnt know that i really aprecicate that info so thx for " clearfy another thing" . You learn someting new everyday.
"Loud and proud." LMAO
This game is One of the best of this year
I really hope this isn't short
If this scores higher than saints row IV I might buy it when it comes out. If not i'm waiting until a price drop.
anyone wanna bet this dude is the leader of the engineer in some kind of twist
Ive never seen a trailer like this long...
Badass is the only word to describe this game.
I'm so fucking pumped for this game!
At 6:49 when Sam says "Not for us." it sounds like Michael Ironside!
Ubisoft make so many trailers for their games, give us avout one or two good ones and then let us wait and find out how good it is. I know they wanna promote the game but they already have a vast fan base.
In the first game you got 20 5.7 round and 60 5.56 rounds. If you were good you only needed about 5 bullets per level for lights and such.
.. did that just show the same Destructoid quote twice?
It'd probably help, but I don't think it's totally necessary. And I don't really play these games for stories, so... I wouldn't bother going out of my way to play the past games. I mean, I have played them, but if I were in your shoes, I'd get the previous games not to understand the story, but to enjoy the past game's gameplay.
They really want us to buy this shit. They're gonna show us maybe five more dam trailers. I never been so excited for splinter cell when they were going to make conviction OPEN WORLD. but changed minds for this
It said "Biggest Splintercell game yet" - Destructoid, twice.... Did they run out of compliments or was it an editing mistake
So Grimsdottir got a blank check to outfit the plane, but we still have to buy all the upgrades ourselves? Right.
I don't think so, the only multiplayer modes are coop or the spies vs mercs.
Sam Fisher's date of birth was confirmed in Double Agent as being 1957...which would put him at 56 (plus you have to take in to account his daughter is a fully grown woman now). Just wondering how does one get started in becoming a pro gamer or is like RUclips gaming the same at all? O.o
in the conviction dlc they had my little hometown as a map.
I was alarmed at the sound @6:36 . Reminded me of MW3.
This game is going to be sick.
obvious troll is obvious.

if you want more facts about Estonia, feel free to contact :D
the producers said that to unlock every thing in the game it will take about 20 convective hours
I wonder if "co op" is split screen. I hope it is.
100% agree.
Pretty awesome.
Anyone else notice they used the same quote twice at the end?
That's for the multiplayer, bro. Spies vs. Mercs.
lol guess you cant really blame them having their country represented in such a blockbuster. All i knew about Estonia was that you're big on Eurovision and Skype was made by an Estonian, and Now you're Featured in Splinter Cell!!!!

It's not about the graphics
Its about the game

When Ubisoft makes a stealth game so action packed, that people are now asking for Shooter game modes.
Actually this name is very different then for example the german name, so a little confusion isnt that big of a deal.
Did I just see Sam in a chokehold? Lol. Can't wait for 8/20!!
What happened to Michel ironside. Fisher doesn't sound right
a Splinter Cell game where you can just go in guns blazing.
WTF has happened to this game ?
Co-op is spitscreen. Spies vs Mercs is not. Confirmed by Ubisoft team Tuesday when they played IGN
2:55 - 2:58, is not something that can be done in the game. You can't get to the roof. :(
Would that First Person camera angle actually be in the game or is that just specially made for the trailer?
Oh hey Garrus.Your from Estonia? Awesome, your a good buddy of mine
game looks awesome cant wait to get it still can take the new voice seriously though
This game came with my GTX 770. Yes, perfect game to show off my great new graphics card....yeah right.
