This game is amazing, I don't know what you people are talking about.
my gripe is Michael Ironside not voicing Sam
This is the early version of the insurgent stronghold mission
Remember when taking out two guards was the biggest task ever?
I do. ): And I miss it.
LP0FireBird0LP if you play on perfectionist mode, the auto-targeting is disabled, along with lots of other things. It makes the game a bit more like the originals.
FUgoogle Awesome!
LP0FireBird0LP Perfectionist is still so damm easy, I completed the game on perfeccionist, ghost, no kills and not spotted. Wasn't close to chaos theory on medium
The forced action parts in the older Splinter Cell games were not too hard to gun your way through. Splinter Cell has just made shooting a lot less stiff than before.
NicholasCagex10
Are you fucking kidding me? I hardly beat this game on perfectionist, a lot of KOs, a lot of spotted and a whole lot of saves, but I literally completed chaos theory on the hardest difficulty at 100% without saving even once!
This game is a lot harder than chaos theory.
For people who beat the game but didnt see this level. THIS level was created doe demo purposes made by the game creators for a show to the public its not a real mission
this is mission is insurgent stronghold just it changed this would of been a better mission instead of the one it actually is.
I hate how automatic and action packed this game's become. It used to be all stealth and u had to figure out a way to take out or get by the 4 guards. Now u press 1 button and he perform 4 different maneuvers. Since when could u lock on to targets. And what happened to staying in the shadows?
its still about stealth i did it and i think its the way you play that doesnt make it stealthy
this level was scrapped i think. you can take on the game in a variety of ways. full action or all stealth. i chose all stealth.
highest difficulty you don't have mark and execute and your sonar doesn't see through walls.
I wish Ubisoft games could have an Extras area in the main menu to let you play finished E3 demos. I would like to play this level, but also that original version of Conviction before they changed it. Where Sam's wearing a hoodie and does boxing while throwing tables.
A big fan of Splinter Cell series ..love how the game is evolving ..not only in graphics ..but in it's gameplay ..from the sam fisher that stayd only in dark corners to complete the missions ..to a sam fisher that just cuts throw his enemies like a knife throw butter ..and having multiple choices doing so ..very impresive
THIS PREVIEW IS ACTUALLY BETTER THEN THE DAMN GAME :`~(((((((((((
poor dog :(
If you've played the game you know that dogs are the biggest pain in the ass lol
C Delany Na, just was looking around for games I might like...
Kano Slayer If you like stealth games this one is a must own. The story is mediocre but the gameplay is awesome.
C Delany I'll look in to it...
Dear Ubisoft where's the next Splinter Cell
The way they animate the characters has been enhanced, along with multiple ways to execute, sneak, and overall play the game have been added, and Sam may look older, but he is as spry and physically and mentally fit as a man in his 20's. Amazing,
this demo is better than the actual level
but its the same thing man
nope, this is the demo (probably beta or alpha) of mission 3 in the final game
***** I know, but I tought he said it was better about the graphics
The footage I've seen on the spy's vs mercs is insane. It love that they made it more team based also
3:16 how the hell can you do that move? i've been to figure it out but simply cant
if anyone's wondering and hasnt noticed, they blurred out the button commands trying to hide the system it was on i guess, but they missed a few, its for the xbox, whether it be for the 360 or the next gen one idk, but just thought id contribute. x3
Snake has the ability to carry hundreds of pistols, rifles, bazookas, mines, robots, mind/body controlling magic dolls and cardboard boxes in his magic pocket. And he takes on tanks, armored vehicles, helicopters, armies, wizards, flying psychics, flying mechanized octopussies. And he has the most awesome voice.
The part where grim blew up the truck was awesome XD would've been cool to see something like that in the finished version of the game
I loved the climbing, fluid motion while shooting, dogs and shooting the puddle with the electric gun to kill those guys.
Why are some things blurred out like the Move And Hold to interrogate?
The reason to why Michael Ironside isn't voicing as Sam Fisher is that, they (UbiSoft) wanted an actor who was able of doing both Motion Capture and acting. And Michael, being 62 years old, couldn't do that.
Now I've got no clue to why they couldn't do the Mo-Cap and voice acting seperately but that's what Ubi decided.
I'm still really pumped for this game though.
E3 Footage is a demonstration for what is to come. The whole point of showcasing a Demo, is to show gameplay, like for this game, explosions, and guns blazing. SC: Chaos Theory IS original, don't say it's not just because of how "new" Blacklist is. The petterns actually weren't predictable, as you progress, they evolve. The game was made in like 2005. Developed even earlier. They didn't have the mindset they have today, but they had originality that they don't have nowadays...
There's the Perfectionist mode where you can't melee from the front or they will block it, and enemies are all around more observant, and, of course, it's harder.
Yup, they're amazing. Conviction was most recent and plays just like this, with the marking and execute ability after you combat-takedown an enemy. Very fluid, easy to pick up and play.
The older games are different though, still very good, but MUCH harder-the controls were a bit weird and took 2 hours of play to get used to, and sam moved awkwardly: you accidentally reveal yourself. You were also pretty much dead on sight. Stealth was completely integral. much more satisfying to beat though.
IIRC right, it's because Ubisoft wanted to perfectly sync motion capturing and voice acting together. Michael Ironside was too old to do the motion capturing, so in order to do it, they had to find a new voice actor that could do the motion capturing. At least that's what I"ve heard.
Nothing wrong with a change of pace, I guess. Past games have had entire levels done in broad daylight. It's just very rare.
And one last thing, just because you can go in guns blazing doesn't mean you have to. It's just to add variety. Conviction had a lot of places that looked like forced shootouts, but you'd be surprised how many of those areas you can actually get through undetected, sometimes without even killing an enemy. It was just really hard and took a lot of patience so people preferred shooting everyone because it was easier and faster.
to anyone who has Blacklist, can you tell me which pair of goggles these are specifically? Footprint Tracking? Colorized Imaging? Ambient Sonar? etc? Thanks for your help in advance...
does anyone know how to remove the alternate weapon (sam doesn't have one at the begginning of this video) i never use it and it just gets in the way
I think in this video, they still have the interrogation option, that's like, "knock out" or "kill" or something....and now they took out the option of choosing, so it goes straight to kill.
I didn't say that I have a problem with gadgets. Airstrikes DO exist, I know that. Drones do too. What I complained about is that the enemies lack any EFFECTIVE ability to oppose that. The player becomes too overpowered.
Also, what did he use for killing? A few stealth-kills (but not hard ones), execution, a 'shoot the ground and stun 2 guys at once'-gadget, a gun (without any stealth) and an airstrike. I didn't see a single point where the player had to WORK to get any progress.
Try three. Ghost, Panther, Assault. Not to mention the numerous directions you can approach from, and the different ways of taking enemies out (if hou play Panther or Assault) and you can also choose to take out a person lethally or non-lethally.
That sonar is so clear.
also sam dosent have an alternate weapon in this video, how do you do that?
In the first 3 (not counting either DA because I haven't played them in years), you could find ways around every enemy and play it safe. This game forces you to maneuver through enemy patrol routes if you want to go total stealth. There's no paths where you can't get caught. Shadows don't make you invisible anymore and aren't covering 70% of the levels. There's no save anywhere feature. Like I said, get all the undisturbed bonuses before you comment on this game's stealth.
If you can remember.. you could chose before every map what kind you wanna play in Chaos Theory too...
got to your torso, gloves, pants, boots, or goggles you have selected, it should say press A to customize (whatever armor you have) then go to desert camo and purchase it. You have to do this with every piece of armor including goggles
I gotta partially agree with that guy, it does take away from the challenge a bit when you can pop everyone in the room automatically; sure it makes for a flashy Hollywood-style entrance but Splinter cell is a game based on stealth challenge, not a one man version of the expendables movies.
why do they blur out what buttons to press?
Yea maybe. If there is one thing I appreciate about the new splintercell its the speed in which you can move, but still doesn't give me (and im sure others) that rush of creeping up on a tough target.
I laugh everytime I see people complaining about how it's "not stealth" anymore. You HAVE the option to be stealthy. I've been playing the game since the 1st one, and I'm happy with the way they've taken the series. It's still great.
I love the image for the new night vision goggles extremely clear now and less bright! :D
Right after ending the execute just run foward an enemy and press the H2H attack button and if you want you can continue to move foward and mark hostiles for the final execute. Hope this helps
I have already done the research! Blacklist may have brought back a bit more stealth, but that does not change the fact that the stealth is optional and at times forcefully non-existent. In almost all the gameplay videos at, there is never a need to hide bodies. Also, why would a stealth game have a cover system? In Chaos Theory, the higher your stealth, the better your mission rating, in this game it just doesn't matter.
you only sometimes get the "execute" (aimbot) option.
i wish i had this grey suit .... but it looks like it was available only for pre orders
He was an agent, but he switched teams and no longer works for MI6.
So does this mean no more of the object interactive interrogations?
Thanks I know where to go and preorder but do you know when I would get it?
This game is going to be badass. The action looks very fluid. People are complaining about that it's not stealth anymore. This only one mission and the fact that they created it in a way that you can choose how to operate is just brilliant. This way the game is more dynamic.
Michael Ironside just sounded so badass, i was a little upset when i noticed that he was no longer the voice of Sam.
You can play in Perfectionist mode, which disables the Mark and Execute, and other things so it can be like good ol' Splinter Cell
It's simple. Whenever it seems like Sam's getting younger, it's because we're seeing an alternate universe where Sam started younger, and is therefore younger now.
"Shadows aren't covering 70% of the levels"
Instead now they have unrealistic covers dropped in everywhere around you, instead of you carefully stealthing your way through. Now you just proceed from cover to cover by pressing one button and watching some automated sequence happen. Chaos Theory did not give you any "no enemies" routes. It gave you options like in real life. Suddenly you come to realize that in real life there ain't invisible walls that make every place linear..
Why is the buttons blurred out?
For everyone bitching about how there's no stealth in Splinter Cell anymore, watch the latest Blacklist video, the developer mill walkthrough.
There's about six and a half minutes of near-classic Splinter Stealth in there.
Also, remember this was built to show off the actionier potential of the game: the in-motion executes and climbing and whatnot.
Saying there's no stealth based on this video is like saying the same thing about Dishonored after watching a lethal, combat heavy video.
Someone please tell me why this gameplay and cutscene isnt in the game?
R.I.P Tom Clancy
Why is it so important in this trailer that the block the button prompts/input.
Funny how they still kept the action game execute mechanic, and removed the option to move bodies, which was what the old splinter cells revolved around
Why they try to hide what cancel they are playing on when he gos to peek under the door, it says (A)
The ”Blacklist is a prequel” guy? Yeah, he's pretty crazy. x x x
The interrogation that begins around 1:20 in the video. It caused a huge backlash, including from long-time fans of the Splinter Cell series like me. Notice how the moral choice comes AFTER you torture a guy with a knife.
Ubisoft took out the scene because, surprise, most people don't think torture is okay. The "its a videogame, its not real" justification doesn't fly because you're supposed to feel as thought this is a part of the real world when playing.
Why are they blurring out the control sceme?
This is before Conviction, before everything. Andriy Kobin is in this game. In Conviction he was dropped, although still alive from Sam, but the HQ blew up, Kobin still inside. This is Kobin before that. Much before. This is Sam's beginnings.
The thing is, in this trailer, they are just showing the action elements. Try checking out the Abandoned Mill video to see the stealth elements in the game.
I think the guy playing the demo decided to take a less-than-stealthy approach towards the end. It was possible to do the same thing in conviction, minus the uav thing.
how can i make thise moves? 3:15 combining meele with execute
He is back!
It's all up to you and your play style in this game!
Now the question is - can you actually run/execute like that or is it just for show like most E3 demo's?
this is actually the 3rd story mission...technically the 2nd if u don't count the very first 1 when vic gets injured...krazy how they changed it
How can we make the desert suit? please answer
wats the difference between spies and mercs they both have access to high level equipment and both kill for money.
how can you like the game double agent when you spell double doble
What kind of gloves does He have?
4:08 Whoops, forgot to censor that "A" prompt.
I think the new guy who voices Sam isn't that bad. He sounds a little young, but he's good. And GOD this game looks amazing. Definitely on my list.
What happened to the SC20K? Didn´t see it since double agent...
Yes, this mission was completely changed in the full game, no torture sequence or drone section. The mission design was also totally different. At the end with the MI6 agent it has all the same dialogue and such. It's a shame i really want to play this section.
what mission is this...is it on solo campaign or 4E missions or what, don't remember this part in solo campaign
this is a later mission in the game to get the suit u have to buy it or upgrade to it im not sure
So far, everything I have seen about this game looks great except for the fact that Michael Ironside isn't Sam's voice anymore. His voice is part of what defined Sam Fisher.
Yes but Ironside is still around the studio being a consultant to Eric Johnson to help give him the attitude of Sam.
i play the game out and i dont see this level is it a dlc?
First off, COD didn't invent those things.
The part with Briggs in the chopper is on one mission and it's basically just a mini game to add a little variety to the campaign. Even if it is like COD, it happens literally once. All of the old games had at least one action sequence too, so you can't say it's exclusive to this.
Regenerating health doesn't matter because it doesn't effect the core gameplay, stealth, at all. If you get the chance to witness health regeneration, you're playing wrong.
i know what you meen i know you have to execute(press y) while near the enemy but i dont know much else
after a decade of hearing Michael Ironside as Sam Fisher, now that Eric Johnson voices for Sam, I cant see that thats the actual Fisher...
For all the people that are asking, this mission was redesign because of the interrogation sequence, nobody know if this is is going to be dlc or not. And for the goggles: they aren't in the game, for some reason they thought thermal was better so the only thing you can do is equiped footprint tracking googles that aren't as good as the ones in this demo but atleast they are sonar. Leave a like if this helped you. Any more question just ask :)
can anyone help me.
how to get this goggles?
He isn't voice acting Fisher any more. Some new guy is doing the performance AND voice for him.
I think DEKE is not ready for change. But here's the good news. From what I heard they added roughly 90 different variation of silent and kill moves to given situation. Thats insane. Only thing now is to see how clever the AI really is.
I like the new voice actor. Sounds more suave that the old guy, fits the spy persona better.
i have the game and i cant figure out how to do that finish thing 3:19 - 3:22
I'm not saying the game is bad, I'm just saying it's not like the older games, that patience should be a virtue in a stealth game where now it has turned into a full on assault style game.
can you believe this came out a whole year ago?
A tip of the hat to my Eastern brother in Toronto for what looks like Splinter Cell on a High Octane New Level. Looking forward to this game on release day.
no animals were harmed during the making of this video
you have a point but with the new perfectionist mode it disables mark and execute as well as a lot of other abilities that make it ridiculously easy to get away with when you go all Rambo, Making the game focus a lot more on stealth
What was up with that air strike thing not in the game
its the second blacklist mission, but its reworked you found that guy in some basement if you remember.
