Even better, get really good at Parcour. I promise that will piss off 99% of invaders. Find hard jumps and climable stuff and practice till you can do it on the fly. Most people even hardcore invaders do not know how to do a 90 degree jump. I.E. sprint forward and turn 90 degrees before you jump when you don't have room to run straight at your jump.
Some good examples are jumping on top of churches. All of them can be climbed. And that place you get the basic twinblade, people think you need a horse to get in there but you can jump from the wall next to the tree lol. And if they get in you hop out the opposite side and make another loop. Hillarious.

Invaders have the inherent advantage of being able to tune their build specifically for invasions. No matter how many advantages the host has, the invader will always be able to keep buffing up.
Also, invaders tend to learn to navigate their inventory during combat. A lot of PvE players don't really do that.

Look at them and delay your attack. Punish everymove you can. When you got a solid hit or the status is about to proke, i almost garanted you the host you fight will roll of stress. Roll catch them then wait for another roll catch or a ripost than punish it. of course its more easy to say to do. This kind a fight will be always the guys will be more patient and calm and take the best opportunity will win. Of cousre if the host is always constantly runnign away its a different story.

Yeah as a frequent invader, a lot of this true. Vigor is my go-to stat, I don’t even touch my damage stat beyond the bare minimum needed to use my chosen weapon until it’s at least +16. Having 40-50 vigor before lvl 60 is the norm for me, and I only go below that ever in very niche specific builds in mind
The weapons listed are true, thrusting weapons are great for chasing, but one thing waifu didn’t mention is that pierce damage actually ignores a good amount of physical defence on a trade, meaning you can very easily kill people through “jousting” them.
Lastly, and this wasn’t mentioned in this video, but spells for the most part SUCK. Unless you have the surprise, you’re very unlikely to hit me. You can roll through most sorceries and incantations if you know the timing. I may be an old veteran who’s been invading in Fromsoft titles for years now, but it’s not that hard to learn. If you’re a spellcaster, your goal is to make me roll, make my actions predictable and coordinate with your buddies for pinning me down and timing when to hit me together in those recovery frames of my dodges, not to necessarily hit me and kill me with your 70 int at lvl 80. You will be my first target, keep that in mind. My goal is to make your buddies think I’m fighting them while keeping my attention on you. Do not give me the opportunity to get near you

    • @t.b.cont.
      @t.b.cont. 8 месяцев назад +2

Lastly, yeah I basically spend the first 2 hours of the game for each new character basically just collecting every golden seed and sacred tear between Caelid and Leyndell. I don’t twink often, but when I do, I want my flask count to be comparable to you who has yet to leave limgrave, removing any advantage of being able to heal more than I can and win by attrition, which I can’t do after a certain point of progress because I will always have half the flasks rounded down compared to you. Keep that in mind for higher level invasions, you can just keep a cool head and through enough skirmishes I will be forced to be more daring and reckless in my attempts to kill you while you the host still probably have much more opportunity to heal and keep a good space if you’re keeping up with my damage.
However do not be fooled by my fleeing at low health. I know what you’re thinking, and I’ll use your confidence and attempt to prevent me from healing to lure you into just another trap. Never once think an invader will do what you think you’ll know you’ll do. The biggest killer for hosts and cooperators is thinking their victory is assured. My biggest advantage over you is your assumptions and confidence. If I’m acting exactly how you think I would, I might not be. Never stop doubting. It’s like chess in a way, the player thinking the most steps ahead and not in the moment is probably gonna win

Well, I play solo and so I don't often get the fun of destroying invaders. But when I'm offering my help, I like to keep the invader busy for the host. The system is quite fun in Elden Ring. I remember the old Dark Souls times, where invasion happens everytime you didn't look like a rotting cheese. Boi these invasions were frustrating, but in Elden Ring they are fun :D

I still laugh my ass off every time I think about the invader I killed while helping out my buddy. Friend was streaming so I have the footage and everything.
Just hit the invader four times with R2 my Lazuli Straight Sword. Didn't move didn't dodge just stood there and did the little block heavy each time the weeb started his attacks. Funniest fucking invasion ever.

You have to play smart and as a team, invader typically has 2 advantages. Experience and the pve around them. Play patient and stick to the mission of getting to the boss door. Every second that the invader is not actively fighting, you should be moving towards the boss. Use knives to lure the pve 1 by 1 as to not overwhelm yourself. If the invader runs away, then do not chase unless you’re certain that you can kill, they’re leading you to a trap

Got invaded at the 2nd grace trying to play with a friend. Got constantly invaded and killed before I could get any kind of progress. Is it really that fun to ruin other players gaming experience, or to pick on someone who started playing 10 min ago??

I split my time invading and sun broing. Sometimes i wish voice chat was a thing so i could tell the host don't rush after the invader, their just trying to bait you into a bad situation. When they chase they usually die.
Continue through the level and wait for them to come to you, then attack in force at once. All parties involved will have a better fight this way, and the host team will likely win.
As an invader i dont care to win, i just want a fun chaotic fight, win or lose.

I am not afraid of invaders, I am pissed off, cause if I am open to them is 95% of the time cause I am playing with my homies and I probably don't want a random to join our fun uninvited. Imagine you are going out on the weekend and some guy randomly joins your friend group and starts crackng jokes that hit and miss out of nowhere. That's literally how it feels.

      play the game
it wouldnt be an "invader" if they didnt invade you
you have a cooperator cause why would you use a taunters tongue, just accept that the game has this put in place.
it has been like this in the soulsborne games for a LONG time and honestly you could make more of an argument on the dark souls games lmao
