I have struggled to get my watch to function correctly for the last couple of years until today. I ran across this video and WoW!! The tutorials PART 1 and PART 2 are easier to follow than the Citizen instruction manual or talking to a live tech at Citizen. Thank you for taking the time to put this video together. Wow! I have had this amazingly accurate watch for almost 3 years, and I now know how to change time zones, set alarms, and use the chronograph and timer. Many thanks, sir!!!

Fantastic tutorial!!! You cover all the bases and get straight to the point!! 6 months with my watch and I was always wondering why my time was always an hour off, and when I changed the time manually, the next day it would be an hour off again lol. Thank you so much, the tutorial helped me to set the time on my Citizen Navihawk Eco Rose Gold watch which I bought in 2022 using the radio controlled function but you need to be patient as it may take time for the radio signal to be located whether it be in Europe, US or Asia as it may depend on the location and levels of other interfering signals near your home or premises for it to work. Thanks - I have a predecessor to this - the BY0003-07E Chrono-Time. It is 10yrs old now & works fine but I like it so much I'm thinking of buying the new Promaster Skyhawk which is available in blue colour. The fun of this watch is in its complexity and your video does justice to it - the watch even knows the daylight saving time across different time zones - so you really need to know what it is doing. If you get into the 'perpetual calendar' side of things - you'll have to understand the finer points of leap years. The word 'watch' seems inadequate for this device - I'd call it a "Master Watch". Have a nice day.
I just brought this watch home tonight, did my warrantee and was fighting with the poor (sorry) instructions provided by Citizen on their app. Your tutorial is very well done. Thank you!
I just recently purchased the Citizen Skyhawk. Great watch !!! but trying to get a signal is a real pain. With all this tech I started look around on the web and found an app on IOS called ( Radio Wave Sync ) the app is pretty good. If your looking for a reliable way to set the watch to automatically update the time check the app out. I'm not sure if its available on Android. How it works is the app is set to where you love for example here in the U.S. The atomic clock is in Fort Collins Colorado and so you set that in the app then hit start. Because all Apple phones use the atomic to set the time on the phone the app broadcasts a wave and acts like the antenna in Fort Collins in witch the watch can pick up hence setting the time. Works like a champ anytime any day. Thank for the great territorial.
Very informative video. You must have spent alot of time learning the functions of this complicated time piece. I wonder how a pilot can fly a plane and struggle with the settings at the same time. Yes, I guess I will need 9 lives to set up this watch:) I live in South East Asia, where you can't recieve a radio time signal and need to set it up manually. Citizen should just incorporate its satellite wave technology into this watch and simplify the set up process.

Absolutely the best tutorial on this watch. Thank you so much! One suggestion would be on how to turn on the background light and night illumination of hands.
The Fort Collins signal is basically useless beyond about 1000 miles away. Those on the east coast pick it up only very rarely, usually during the winter. One great trick to increase your chances of picking up the time signal is to wrap your watch around a piece of metal, like a steel bar, overnight. Works anywhere in the world where you have a chance of getting the time signal. That being said, I've found these Citizen Skyhawks to pick up the signal extremely well, probably due in part to their steel cases.

The Daylight Saving Time mode ON OFF is useful on a place where the start or finish of this horary mode starts and finishes differently from the atomic clock setting., like here that starts and finishes a couple weeks later. Excellent tutorial, thanks!!!
Incredibly helpful video! I dont have this watch as of yet, but have been dreaming about it. I've read the manual quite a bit and found it overwhelming. This video really simplifies the processes. I feel like upon purchasing it would be a good idea to do a full reset and calibration of the hands(as referenced in PT. 2) before doing anything else. Really looking forward to your slide rule vid on this watch!

Dear god this was extremely helpful. I have numerous Casio Protreks that have pull out crowns for adjusting features and they are a million times more intuitive than this watch! I got the Canadian snowbirds edition and it didn't come with a manual.....amazon market place strikes again.
I'm so glad you did this video. I just bought the citizen Skyhawk titanium from a pawn shop for 100 dollars. It was off by a few minutes. I set it manually per your instructions and good to go. But it will pick up the radio control in my area which is Oklahoma and the tower is in Denver Colorado. My other radio control citizen does not have that problem. It updates everyday at 2 pm and 2 am. Bummer I can't get this one to sync up.

WT-S Is probably for people that live out of rage of time broadcast services. I don't own the watch, but my guess is that if you set your Summer time manually, it will stay set unless and until the watch receives a WWV (or foreign equivalent) signal. Again only a guess, but now if you select the "OFF" function for the RX-S, it will then not accidentally change your time and SMT if you travel to an area within range of a WWV service, which would then force you to manually change the SMT setting back to whatever is appropriate.
when u check if the watch was able to get time from radio, it will show you not only strength of signal ang station but also the time it was able to get the correct time I think
Good catch, I was going to say that too. Funny thing is that NFLD is not that far away from NYC. Most of Canada is further away from NFLD than NYC is but the border makes all the difference. Canada is kind of an alien place to many Americans. For some, it’s just a place you fly over to get to Alaska. I think he Trucker’s protest against vaccine mandates was good PR for Canada. Trudeau and his nutty WEF policies are bad PR. He’s about as popular in Canada as Biden is in the USA . Let’s go Brandon!.
I bought one new recently and your video really helped me to do the setup a lot thank you!! But there is one thing that I couldn’t figure out is have the date for the home town show up anywhere. It’s so difficult having a watch without able see that date.
Thank you very much! You absolutely can display the date. Simply pull the crown out one click, rotate until you get to the calendar function (CAL) then push the crown in. The date will then show in the right hand screen
@@TheRocketman360 I got it, thank you! I think I had the second time zone country set on the right window so whenever I had it on CAL, it only showed the date of the second time zone. So now I just change the time to my home time and it’s now showing the proper date. Thank you!!
It seems pretty obvious to me that the WTS setting's ability to turn SMT on or off on a zone by zone basis is pretty important, considering that much of the world doesn't play the daylight saving time game any longer, and even for those that do, they only do it for part of the year, and those parts of the year when they play the game of springing forward for the summer vary within hemispheres and of course happen at different times of the year, when comparing northern vs. southern hemisphere. Additionally, even within countries that engage in this grand exercise of stupidity, some of their subdivisions (Hawaii and Arizona in the US and Queensland, the Northern Territory, Western Australia, and some islands in Australia for example) don't play the game. So it becomes really important when traveling to be able to manage the SMT setting for each possible destination. It's also important in business or any kind of international communications. So yeah, SMT setting on a zone-by-zone basis is actually a big part of what makes this watch so useful.
