Had my skyhawk for 15 years and I still come back to this video to reset the time every year.. Sometimes it will set its self but other times i have to do it manually
Thanks, this allowed me to change DST - you have to have the time zone you want to change in the right hand LCD display and DST on/off is associated with a specific time zone. So, in my case the normal display is NYC in the left and LON in the right. The USA has sprung forward so DST should be ON and the sequence is as follows: 1. Pull out crown 1 click 2. Press BOTH buttons to swap left and right zones (now LON is on the left and NYC on the right) 3. Pull crown fully out and click bottom button (now lower part of LCD changes from OF to ON) 4. Push crown in so it's just 1 click out 5. Press BOTH buttons to swap left and right zones (now NYC is back on the left and LON on the right) 6. Push crown all the way in Bob's yer uncle :D
The dumbest most convoluted process to setting the time on such a basic watch. Wish I had seen this video prior to my purchase. Not sure what Citizen had to gain by making this so unbelievably complicated. Just pulling out the crown and adjust the hands seems to have worked for the past 100 years or so.
I want to thank you for the explanation, I love this watch because as an engineer, I enjoy this kind of mind games, very entertaining, not for everyone, so don't try to look smart if you're not.
thankyou, found my citizen in the drawer after a few years stored away, found this and, after a few days of weak winter sun, it's wearable again thanks to you simple explanation :)
Thank you so much for this informative video! I have a question: Once I have set the time on both screens, the hands of my U600 didn´t match the hour of the right screen. How can I make the hands match the time?
Thanks for this great explanation. I just bought the watch on a cruise ship in the London time zone. When I got back to the US, the watch could not find the Chicago time zone signal whilst I was in the CAL mode. I'd like to find out more about these radio signals and where they are coming from. Other than getting a signal from a satellite transponder, there is no way of getting a Citizen signal off a tower hundreds of miles away if you are out in nowheresville. What does the radio system for calibration consist of? Space or land based?
@Jim Wong: Please follow the instructions from the below mentioned help guide. I followed it and able to reset and caliber the UTC hands manually. Here the URL: www.citizenwatch-global.com/support/html/en/u68/faq_24_u68.html
Citizen eco drive sky hawk wr 200? :- 1) Which colour is the watch light? 2) What is the problem in night light showing red colour? 3) Does it automatically change 1 hour forward or backward automatically without manually setting?
@@realmofwatches1133 thank you very much. i was just confused as these two watch models doesnt say perpetual like other models from citizen. they have it written on their inner dial. thank you.
Can you help! I have LON on the right and also keep LON on the left for now. The right LON is displayed correctly when I set the digital time etc, all good. However when I then full press in the crown to set the analogue hands the time is incorrect and will not display the correct time. For instance as we speak the digital display is reading 09.41 but the hands are at 08.53, very strange cant work it out Am I doing something wrong?. Thanks for your help. Steve
Hello, sounds like the watch needs a zero reset. You will reset the hands back to their zero position and then follow this video to set the time. Citizen should have instructions for this on the website. The most common reason this can happen is when the watch runs out of power whilst searching for a radio signal. Can you remember to having to charge the watch at some point before this happened?
Hello, this was surprisingly difficult to find out but I beleive Caracas, the code is CCS in the watch. Its Atlantic Standard Time which is -4 hours from UTC.
The 24h subdial at 2 o clock does not correspond with the time. AM and PM is incorrect. I have tried everything, but I cannot manage to correct it. Do you prehaps know how to fix it? :)
Hello, sounds like the watch needs a zero reset also known as check the 'reference position' in the instructions. The hands need realigning, this can happen when the watch has run out of power. Then you follow the instructions to set the time I think I might do a video on this.
Hello, Yes during winter time (so now) that’s correct, when the clocks go forward London will be 1 hour ahead until we revert back to winter time again when it will be the same. Thanks
Hi, make sure time is selected on dial at 6 o'clock, pull the crown out 1 click, press the top push button once, this will change UTC to London, keep pressing for your desired time zone, when you have found it press both push buttons in at the same time and this time zone will go onto the hands. Crown in. That should be done. Sounds like you have a different feature other then time selected on the 6 o'clock dial.
@@realmofwatches1133 won't let me do that I think it mayb needs to be fully charged cuz the sec hand is moving in 2 sec intervals but before all this I couldn't get the hands to the right time so I'm going to charge it up today in the sun and start over ill keep u updates
@@vittoriosantiago Yes double ticking is low charge, give this one quite a bit of time in the sun, when it searches automatically between 2-4am this drains alot of energy from the cell. I would leave it in sunlight with the crown out for faster charge as when the crown is in the watch is trying to use energy

Totally agree. Beautiful to look at... Worst watch for complications. Not easy
I've watched the video over and over and still can't, took it to the top jeweler in Richmond VA, he had it for 5 days, still can't get it!
Ty so much, could not figure how to swap UTC with LAX and finally working again. Ty

You are actually more knowledgeable than the guy who sold this watch last year and I was able to change the time today. Thanks sir.
Nice one, glad it helped.
Brilliant, been trying to work that out for ages, much appreciated mate
thank you you saved my watch from being sold
Thank you so much sir. You explain this a HELL of a lot better than even the guy does on the Citizen watch page on youtube. Thanks again...
Thanks, glad I could help!
I really enjoyed the video. Wish someone would do a features video. How to use TMR/CHR modes. How to set UTC time. Or is that automatic?
Brilliant video, straight to the point!
Love my Skyhawk watch.

Great video i have a question please is it possible to set the utc dial to anytime you want ie to use it as a gmt dial Thank You.
Hello, no the dial at 12 o'clock is based on the local time you set, everything then adjusts accordingly.
*VERY* helpful - thanks!
You're welcome!
great stuff.
Muito bom o video, resolveu meu problema. Meu relógio não estava sincronizando os ponteiros com o digital.. Muito obrigado.
