@@stevepapa Thank you very much, spent 2 hours reading the useless manual, gave up and managed to adjust the time after 30 seconds after watching this video
Great video, I struggled for 30 minutes trying to figure this out for a customer using his manual. This video immediately solved it and he tipped me $10 bucks!
Thank you so much! Had my citizen watch for years and had to kept taking it to the shop to get things adjusted - stopped wearing it and banished it to the drawer of shame. It stopped working due to no sunlight but thanks to this video I’ve got it Al up and running again. Thank you
Thanks, again. Just set the clocks back an hour, including my Citizen Eco-Drive watch. Amazing that such a cool watch is so difficult to set. Your video is very helpful. I’ll catch you in the spring!
You have helped me set my watch that I have not been able to do for so many years, your instructions are great and easy to follow, Thank you! Your father im sure has enjoyed the watch. I have a divers watch I bought many years ago in the Bahamas.
I give you props for taking on this challenge cuz I'm revisiting your video because I forgot how to do it because it is so complicated and it's been a while so thank you
Got to say thank you so much for posting this video. Had my eco watch for months and I couldn't bloody set the time right! Within the first few minutes of watching your video I now have the correct time!
Thank you so much! You made that ridiculously dense owner's manual obsolete, explaining something that has been clear as mud for way too many years. THANKS!
AMAZING!!! Bought a Citizen BL5594-59E at a watch pop-up in Haneda airport a couple of days ago, was running short on time so I told the salesperson I'd adjust the time. Spend several hours on the flight back home trying to set the time but failed miserably, even reset the watch. The manual is not easy to read. Anyways, thanks for the video, took me 30 seconds to set the time after watching this video. Now I can wear it. thanks!
Fabulous video, I have a Citizen perpetual calendar but a different model . Your instructions make it easier to set. Citizen don't seem to supply instruction books anymore you only get a warranty certificate which includes a website address for instructions. Many thanks 👍
So I was gifted my eco drive watch and have had it for about a decade and have never been able to get the date or the alarm to stop going off. I have been wearing it without the right date and found your video today. Though it took me a while to get mine to work - I swear this watch has a mind of it's own - the date is FINALLY right and so is the time. I am curious what time the alarm will be going off as it used to go off in the early mornings and after a year with me trying to fudge the date the alarm somehow switched to 8pm - who knows when it will go off now - hahaha. Anyway - thanks SO much for your video!!!!!!!! REALLY appreciate it! Mine is an eco drive with a perpetual calendar so it is a bit different but super grateful for your video. Happy Holidays!
Thank you so much, I was at the point where I was going to take a hammer to this watch, take it to the watch repair, or send it back to Citizen and let them do it, I initially left the watch in the drawer and forgot about it for almost a year, It stopped working and every you tube video I saw was telling me conflicting instructions on how to get it working again , finally was told to leave it on the window sill, which I did and It came back to life. so I needed to set it which was a while other issue, your instruction was the clearest and easiest to understand and it worked, so Just want to say thanks!
Thanks. I had to take the watch back to where I bought it and ask them to change the time for me because I couldn't make head nor tail of the manual. Thanks to your video I can now do it myself.
Great clip….my watch had been left in a cupboard for a couple of years so had forgotten how to use it completely. Watching this video step by step I’m now 100% confident of how I set the time etc.
I just bought a new watch went nuts trying to find a video showing how to set the time. I was going to return this watch until I saw your video so thank you. No reason its this complicated to set time on a watch geez
I'd just bought my Citizen watch Eco-Drive PCAT CB5912-50E, and I still couldn't manage to fully set my time. Any simple instructions would be very much appreciated. 😊
When setting the year, it's actually number of years since the last leap year. If you're watching this in 2024, set it to 0 as we are currently in a leap year.
Thank you So much, I love my Citizen. It is their exact one, BUT adjusting it is a job. Someone commented that if you leave the command dial at a certain spot. ? You can just pull out the crown and and just it like a regular watch ??? Respectfully.
My second hand stops on the 2 (10min mark) not 12 does that matter? What are all the numbers on the top right dial mean? Is that just for the Year? What does the bottom button do?
Thanks for sharing this awesome useful video. I have a question on how to replace the glass any one please help. I was able to get the watch’s back cover open but can’t get the matchine out :(
Thanks for the info. Been really struggling with my EcoDrive WR200 ...but what has shocked me the most is your name 😂..I am also Steve and most people know me as Papa. 😅😅😅😅
I bought a citizen calendrier a few weeks ago. At first I was losing a couple minutes a day. I let it sit in the sun for a day. It kept perfect time for the last weeks. Today I noticed it was ten minutes faster than my phone. Gonna keep a eye on it daily. If it keeps running fast I'm contacting Citizens customer service. Can overcharging cause it to run fast?
I am French, living in Paris. My colleague bought that watch several months ago like 700 €. He wanted to change the time on his watch, but he couldn't. He took the watch back to the place where he'd bought it. And the salesman spent a lot of time trying to change the time and finally told him that he couldn't do it, unfortunately.
Great video but may be partially incorrect. The bit about setting the "year" is incorrect- according the Citizen docs page. That is actually setting the number of years offset from the last leap year. For example, setting it to the 2 position means the last leap year was 2 years ago. 2024 is a leap year so I set it to the 0 position. (this is all based on instruction available 2/22/24)
Thanks you helped me a lot however when I’m changing year on my eco drive it goes from 0 to 1 to 2 and then goes back to 9 and then again to 0. So I suppose on mine watch 3 years after the leap year must be 9🤷♂️ make sense(?) as after three years it’s a leap year again so it goes from 9 to 0 I’m not sure
I found another video where I was able to reset the watch, set everything to zero and now everything is exactly as you showed👌 so I set the year to 3 because 2023 is the third year after a leap year. I think it happened because my watch stopped working due to lack of exposure to sunlight. I'm on a sunny holidays now and when it started working again it needed to be calibrated or something. Eco drive is amazing 😀 cheers!
Many thanks bro. I just got Citizen Eco-Drive BL5550-50X, and follow your instruction but it's different (adjust year and month). Pls support more videos.
Why is it that after setting the year to number 2 for 2022, and pressing A button, it changes back to 0? Your watch did exactly the same thing as mine at the end of video.
