    I recently bought the blue angels citizen watch used and I love it . Looks totally good on my wrist. I found your tutorial and you're more detailed. Thank you for the video. We relate to the same time piece I will continue to view this video to go by. It's frigid in Chicago and I will have the time and patience to set it correctly.

    One correction, the Blue Angel has a sapphire crystal.

    The radio reception indicater (6 o'clock dial, push bottom pusher while in time keep mode) tells what happened LAST time the watch tried to receive, not the reception status NOW. If it failed you can tell it to try again, by manually asking it to (press /hold lower button 2 secs, until radio indicator goes to RX, meaning 'trying to receive now'. After a bit it will either receive OK or fail showing NO). Your watch in the review seems not to have syncd lately (maybe ever?) else it would not indicate daylight savings mode (unless you put it in manually). It tries every night at 2 to 4 am, so I found a place where it gets good reception and put it there every night. Presto, syncd every night, always correct time and date. Great watch, really enjoy mine, lots of great features, totally accurate time and date (from radio sync), always enjoy the attractive design. Good review but could have been more useful if more time were taken to really understand its features. It's not a watch for someone who is not willing to take that time. Thanks for the review!

      Thanks for that correction! As you can tell I find the number of features on these watches a bit overwhelming!

      @@americanlegendswatches yes it takes some time spent with the watch and the instructions if you want to maximize the benefits of the watch. But it's well worth it, the watch does everything and it's easy to use once you get up to speed. Some watches have a lot of features but the ways of accessing them mean they don't get used (ex having to use the crown just to access chronograph feature)

    Good review of this watch. I own one of these. One thing I clearly noticed is your top sub dial needs calibration. It should point straight up during normal time keeping. Kind of a pain to do,but there are videos on the process.

    Good instructions. But WHY the disturbing drumming in the background?

      I find my own voice to be pretty boring without some background music. Sorry it got distracting!

    Pretty good review, but I suggest turning off background music while you are talking, it is distracting.

    Some subdials on the Blue Angel model have a yellow hand, as usual. Why not all three? ?????

    NYC IS ALWAYS AT 10'OCLOCK - NO NEED TO READ CITY ABREVIATIONS FOR MANY YEARS.

  • @allanbruce9473

    Pain-in-the-butt is that I can only read the city letters with a 15X lighted loupe. Another Citizen annoyance: Date not lighted AND so deep set/small, also takes a loupe to read.

    Is this watch able to withstand flying on a fighter jet?

    • @americanlegendswatches
      @americanlegendswatches  20 дней назад +1

      Yes pretty much any quartz watch would be.

      @@americanlegendswatches are there any documented stories of American fighter pilots wearing this watch in sorties? Just curious in other words is the watch battle tested and used as advertised bc I’ve read most pilots wear gshocks I think it’s just commemorative but a very goodcwatch

    My "yellow hand" doesn't stop moving. I've pulled the crown out once, then twice, & the yellow hand doesn't stop. Help???

    • @americanlegendswatches
      @americanlegendswatches  Год назад +1

      Well the yellow hand should normally be ticking each second, unless you have it in chronograph mode. If you don't use the chronograph for a minute or so, it will automatically bump back into time keeping mode with a ticking seconds hand.

    YOU MANUALLY SET DST ON MANY RADIO-CORRECTED WATCHES. SOON, IN US, YOU WILL ONBLY HAVE TO=O SET IT "ON" ONCE.

    Me do any fighter pilots actually wear this watch on their jets the reason I ask is because is it just commemorative or actually the real deal Holyfield

    • @americanlegendswatches
      @americanlegendswatches  18 дней назад +1

      My understanding is that Citizen supplies these watches to the Blue Angels pilots. They're probably not required to actually wear them. But keep in mind that the Blue Angels are an acrobatic demonstration team that show up at air shows and are more of a recruiting tool than anything. What they do is amazing, but they don't actually go out on missions for the military.
