Awesome video! and she added an extra emphasis on the country accent/ instrumentation (even before Stapleton's contribution) just to emphasize how her music wasn't the "indie" sound. She started dating Gyllenhaal just a couple weeks after Speak Now was released in October (so, before Halloween). Speak Now had already gone platinum before they started their relationship. Also, Halloween was another reason for the animal costumes her band was in the mv for WANEGBT. Amazing album, considering the whole affair probably ended a week before Christmas. Oh, and "drunk Taylor" being treated to the kid's table: she wasn't old enough to buy alcohol yet, until her birthday.

my interpretation of this mv is that of course they broke up and now he’s about to marry someone else just to try and move on from her because she’s “harder to forget than to leave” but on his wedding day he can’t stop thinking about her and the whole video is just his imagination of what could happen if she was there, and just like the lyrics do the video points out all the details that he would make up about her to blame the downs of the relationship and the actual break up on her for example the scene where she’s sitting with the kids, the ex is older than her and had a tendency to say that because of her age she was too immature and childish (and like she sings in ATW10, if they would’ve been closer in age maybe it would’ve been fine) also the red scarf and how much that means in their relationship and the fact that she gives it to the bride or maybe we can say “the other woman” addresses the love affair he had and how she gives the relationship to the other girl. At the end he imagines he married Taylor kind of as a realisation that she was the love of his life as they dance, the way he pulls her against him shows how much he wants her to be close and to be around and never let her go but then she turns around the dress turns red and he realises he lost her for good. And once he gets out of that chaotic daydream she pops up in his mind again when the tissue in his pocket turns red because he simply can’t forget her.
