Back strap under your load to take some weight off the tailgate. Front strap over the top to hold the load down so the load isnt bouncing on the tailgate. Preparation avoids reparation.
I never let materials out of my sight or lumber until i have cash in hand. I won't even take a check anymore. I have been scammed and ripped off to many times.
It kinda seems to me like you caused all of your issues with that load from start to finish, yea you didn't expect him to try and steal buut if your hired to drop off 2loads then you should of dropped of 2loads,and the issues with your truck again came from not dropping off that load with your trailer to begin with..i guess you can use all of it as ah learning experience👍🙂👍
I haven't seen one of your videos in probably a year I was subscribed and I just now noticed I wasn't subscribed your video just showed up randomly? Anyways glad to have you back!
Man, now I'm gonna go check my 16 F150 gate, I've had some serious weight with the gate down. I put bags on her had 1.2 yards of gravel in the back, guy poured the gravel between the window and the bed... My heart stopped. It's so hard to get gravel out from there. Glad you got all that wood back, ppl are sketch. Keep the vids coming 👌🇨🇦 from Vancouver BC
For what you have put that truck through I'm surprised you don't have more dents and dings. Love the uploads. More stories of what you have been through, The stolen motorcycle, stolen lumber etc.
I moved 4 hours away from a bone breakingly violent type of older brother, because not everything can be fixed, and, victims of violent manipulative sociopathy never really float off to a fabled happyland in the sky, even if your older brother says otherwise. Please be safe, and protect those who can not so easily protect themselves on their own.
why would you let anything off your trailer without payment first?? thats on you. Thats like going to the store and taking stuff home and saying youll pay for it later lol
Depending how much volume you do depending how many people you do it with your very lucky to get 50% up front and 50% up to 45 days later. That's all sorts of building I don't know about transport, that's why it sucks
@@samfrankow3167 transport is more due at delivery. but if they dont pay im not leaving. Either Cops with be involved or make things right or load is staying with me.. until payment. but most time load is unloaded before they pay...
I used to say that steel tailgates need to be built tougher. I'm a flat roofer and the rolls literally destroy my tailgate lucky if I get 5 years before it's garbage. But the Aluminum tailgate 2 years a most.
Great video bro,, like this video everyone lets keep him going and to beat those utube God's,,, and ive yet to get notification for ur upload, alot of streamers use discord now and link it to their utube as notifications will be also giving there i always get them b4 utubes notifications 🇬🇧👊
Confusing story to say the least. All you had to say to Fred was 'yea u can take Jerry his wood as soon as you can get him on the phone agreeing to that and I get paid.' Those two things take less than 5 minutes in 2022. At the very least, after waiting 5 minutes you would have discovered the gag. I love that you're candid with life's shittiest lessons. We've all made mistakes we don't want to admit. Lucky u got it back and Jerry wasn't in on the theft. He could have just lied to you too, claiming he couldn't get in touch with Fred and had no clue where he is. Then he himself goes to the cabin by the lake. Be careful bro. Cover your ass, get things in writing, or videotape verbal agreements. Get people's info on file before releasing a load to anyone other than payer. Get rid of Fords. Keep rocking! 🐕🛻
Its a Ford built with a aluminum bed. Tailgate is aluminum also. Ford had to do it to reduce the wieght so they could get better gas mileage. All new trucks have problems. You just have to decide what you can deal with. Sorry your truck got damaged. I know people will give me trouble for my statement "it is a Ford" without reading the whole post about every new truck has problems. It is my opinion, so deal with it
36 year old here Thinking of getting into shipping. Thinking of buying a new truck on credit and taking loads to pay for it. Any words of wisdom for a beginner? I’m now a sub and wanting to learn the business. Driving makes me happy
Thats why you put a 4x4 or something across the back 1\4 of the truck bed.....it cocks the load up with most the weight in the bed of the truck and the tailgate is free from supporting the weight. But the damage done to your truck was from being careless.
Man treat that Kinger better!! Take your time man!! I see all those damaged tailgates from leaving the gate up and pilling up the wood and boom! Broke!! Good luck and safe travels!!
The Pontiac Sunfire is one of the ugliest cars ever. It’s built out of a Saturn, which is ugly enough. The sunfire alone should’ve been a red flag 😂. Only junkies and crazy people drive those.
11:30 tailgates in general shouldn’t be carrying the weight. Aluminum or not. I buckled my tailgate on my Silverado driving with my quads rear tires on it.
Experience is a great teacher, I found that out the hard way in my youth. Nice guys tend to get run over and in the least taken advantage of. Don't change who you are if you are a nice guy, just create for yourself leverage in all business transactions. There is a saying; money talks - bull excrement walks!
you sure it's not the cables ? on an old 79 I stretched the metal ones an a 97 cables.. I had 12ft. sheet rock 5/8 an 15 sheets. I did get a trailer after all that..
Does that F150 have the 5.4 3v or a 5.0? That start up definitely screams new engine needed. If there's one thing my grandpa taught me for the trucking industry it's that you trust nobody.
That's what a bill of laden and an invoice is for you deliver to said person and address if they want it different the customer can tell you that. not someone else that is a friend of a friend. and COD or prepaid nothing comes off the truck till you get your money. as far as the paint and tailgate that is the least of your worries sounds like the rods or lifter in the engine are shot that engine isn't long for this world unless you get it fixed right away.
Yes it's normal the new junk doesn't hold loads if you want a real truck you need to buy an older one I was actually surprised that it held that much weight and being a Ford
Hi Do you need some great lighting for your car to help you better driving, off-road. We're the pro auto lighting manufacturer for nearly 20 year and we're looking for sponsorship!
I enjoy watching you ship things , this video was on point, I like the fact we are both happy canadian too.....not alot of Canadian utube channels. Key to growing a channel is being consistency of uploads. Now you and your girl doing it full time , it will grow like fire ;)
Yes that is 100% normal on your tailgate I have a 2019 Ford F150 the tailgate does exact same thing and it has never had any weight on the tailgate it’s just something that has always been like that on the vehicle you probably just has never noticed
I think I'd far more be concerned about an engine that's falling apart than a scratch on your truck. You keep saying don't trust yourself but got ripped off by all the other players in the story, so who does that leave?
And i parked my 5.4 cuz i thought it was too loud. Yours blew mine iut of the water my friend forget the wood lets fix that and out some new phasers or lock outs in it
I didn't know that they steal in Canada like the Messicans (and others) down here too. Did you let Mr. Sticky Finger off the hook or have you taught him a lesson in order to avoid that kind of mishaps with him in the future?
It's a Ford they make their cars and trucks out of aluminum cans to make them more fuel efficient but it's a stupid idea to do that with trucks for this exact reason next time by a Dodge there as dependable as the sun rising every morning.
For anyone wondering the truck in the video is a 5.4 with a terminal camshaft issue. Thoughts and prayers are welcome 🙏
3V 5.4 lol 🤣
Depending on the year of vehicle, it may make a grand dandy parts vehicle.
Just change the cam phaser. Not really a big deal.
I’ll sell you the timing kit lmaoo I had the ole 5.4 and had plans but ended up just getting a 5.0 aha
Also have 5.4 and had to replace engine

I never let materials out of my sight or lumber until i have cash in hand. I won't even take a check anymore. I have been scammed and ripped off to many times.
I would have taken the other pile of wood too. What are they gonna do? Call the cops? "Hey yeah the guy i stole wood from came and stole wood from me"
Thanks for the code to open your car ! Now it saves me time stealing it
It kinda seems to me like you caused all of your issues with that load from start to finish, yea you didn't expect him to try and steal buut if your hired to drop off 2loads then you should of dropped of 2loads,and the issues with your truck again came from not dropping off that load with your trailer to begin with..i guess you can use all of it as ah learning experience👍🙂👍

Booyah, 👊😁👍🇺🇲🇨🇦 got paid.
5.4, 3 value, that's is a massive problem unfortunately. You'll need a rebuild. But it it will keep going.
Don't trust your self......... Wow great advice, so inspiring!!
At least everyone is safe. "Things" can be fixed, but it does suck! Be safe bud

Didn’t realize about the weight on the tailgates!!! Thanks, you probably saved my butt on this one.
Dude always get your money 💰 before releasing the shipment always no exception
why would you let anything off your trailer without payment first?? thats on you. Thats like going to the store and taking stuff home and saying youll pay for it later lol
It's a better experience for both the customer and I, 99.5% of the time there's no issues
Depending how much volume you do depending how many people you do it with your very lucky to get 50% up front and 50% up to 45 days later. That's all sorts of building I don't know about transport, that's why it sucks

It's like that old saying " No ticky ,, No laundry " LOL
Guy you are lucky you didn’t go to jail for thief! Once that load left your truck to their truck…. payment or not it’s theirs!
You can simply adjust the striker bolt on the body where the tail gate latches . It's an easy fix
I had that problem on tailgate on my silverado overloading out past it,.and did what u had said and it was fixed in minutes👍🙂👍
I used to say that steel tailgates need to be built tougher. I'm a flat roofer and the rolls literally destroy my tailgate lucky if I get 5 years before it's garbage. But the Aluminum tailgate 2 years a most.
Find a good wielder and get a custom made 1
That is why I do not change anything, without the customer(s) being present
Good video. Hopefully the RUclips gods shine down on you.
It is a work truck it will get scrapes no matter how hard you try to protect it.

You are a “gentleman” to say the least hands down to how you handheld that situation 😮

It’s a truck man !!!!! They are meant to be used & abused. My 2014 f150 isn’t no show winning truck , definitely not beat up , still gets the job done
It is my opinion, so deal with it
Why not bring the trailer to go get that wood Holy cow and you drove with that wood not strapped in the back of your truck
Crazy. Glad it worked out.
36 year old here Thinking of getting into shipping. Thinking of buying a new truck on credit and taking loads to pay for it. Any words of wisdom for a beginner? I’m now a sub and wanting to learn the business. Driving makes me happy
You had a full load almost hijacked and your worried about a scratch... Comme on man
You might want to put some oil in that engine
Thats why you put a 4x4 or something across the back 1\4 of the truck bed.....it cocks the load up with most the weight in the bed of the truck and the tailgate is free from supporting the weight. But the damage done to your truck was from being careless.
Great video. That tailgate issue goes along with the shit Ford QC from the other video. They should expect a 450 to be used like that.
Man treat that Kinger better!!
Take your time man!!

i always puy a piece of lumber across my bed keeping the weight of the tailgate when I carry a load ...i completly jacked my tailgate years ago
you sure it's not the cables ? on an old 79 I stretched the metal ones an a 97 cables.. I had 12ft. sheet rock 5/8 an 15 sheets. I did get a trailer after all that..
No truck tailgate since 1972 can handle much weight doesn't matter what brand vehicle.
Military grade aluminum 😂🤣😂
made by the cheapest bidder
You make the mistakes so I don't have to?
Bullshit, I'm making that mistake tomorrow!
Sayonara headlights!
We have questions 😂
Does that F150 have the 5.4 3v or a 5.0? That start up definitely screams new engine needed. If there's one thing my grandpa taught me for the trucking industry it's that you trust nobody.
It's a 5.4, dime a dozen
@@DangerIndustries still runs not happily but runs. Are you gonna put a new motor in or just run it til it blows completely an scrap it
Lmao the Canadian accent “aboouut”
What’s wrong with the truck? That was a bad noise on start up

Regarding your tail gate ,, I've seen the same problem on Toyota Tundra and Dodge pickups. Tailgates just can't handle the load.
I use to work in a lumbar yard. Prices are soon high now that even scrap refuse wood goes for almost high price.
You should trust only two people...You and not the Other Guy!
What’s going on with the trucks engine..?

Never ever trust anyone that you really do not know.
He probably doesn't want the cops involved

Wow how cheap shame on Ford
I love ford I have 3 of them
man wish you closer to ohio could sure make a killing around here prices are crazyy
Is your hotshot business profitable and is it CDL or non CDL
Cant believe you called your Dad out on dropping a board. For one thing that’s your load suck it up you chose the business
It’s a work truck. It’s meant too be beat up. Hell with the scammer though
Certainly one of the most confusing videos I have seen
Rate cutter
Seems to me like u should of checked with ur initial customer from the very getgo
Your truck sounds awful on start up. You should figure out what's wrong with it.
I'm partial to Ford but sorry their super duty isn't super if it's Aluminum body
Regardless of this story, you sit too lose to the steering wheel when driving lol
I think I'd far more be concerned about an engine that's falling apart than a scratch on your truck. You keep saying don't trust yourself but got ripped off by all the other players in the story, so who does that leave?
Labrador - the Wild East!
What the hell is a Pontiac sunflower? Or did you mean sunturd
I been trucking for 15 yrs no payment no unload and I need stuff in writing
We Americans know how to make you say your vowels!
That kinda suck's about the truck but at least you got the wood back.
You know and where I live they put tracking devices in the woods so if you steal the wood off a job site authorities get involved immediately
You bought it. Crowds are not great trucks. You fix or repair them daily. Rams and GMCs/ Chevys are much betters.
And i parked my 5.4 cuz i thought it was too loud. Yours blew mine iut of the water my friend forget the wood lets fix that and out some new phasers or lock outs in it

Lol 80k and u get a tail gate that can't handle rated payload? No way that wood was overloading your bed
Got notification for this video
If you use your truck to for work, you should not complain about scratches it's not a trophy.
I got a notification for this video.
It's a real truck now
The tailgate on my truck can only support up to 500 lbs, they really aren’t that strong tbh.
Pontiac Sunfire...not 🌻 sunflower
Did you have a woodchuck infestation? I hear they can chuck wood, but the question remains just how much. 🤔
I bent one just by using the tailgate later I wight only a 160 ibs on a good day there junk
Canada eh?
makes for a great video though
Those aluminum super duty’s are not work trucks.
Never do a cod. I do door dash ad if a delivery looks funky I dont so it
Even if they wuld have paid, they wont, when you work for free.
That's a work truck not a luxury car! It's supposed to get scratches
The old re-steal trick. Do unto others like they do you.
That's a crazy story
