[SOLVED] Acer Laptops Touchpad Scroling not working

- If you have just installed a fresh copy of Windows on you acer laptop, you've probably come across this problem. The touchpad scroling feature is not working. Well it's because windows provides a default driver for your touchpad, that does make it work but you're unable to scroll. So in this video I'm gonna show you how to fix this problem... it works with all acer laptops.

OMG i can't believe that i can scroll with my touchpad again! Thank you man! You are awesome! I thougth it was broken, but now it works just like new! I wasn't able to use since 2014 or maybe earlier. I am so happy!

Thank you very much man, my Gateway notebook did not have mouse pad scrolling enabled, and you showed me the solution.
I had this problem with the new windows 10 and I updated a few drivers and the computer restarted, everything is working and I came back here to hit that like button and thank you for your help

My scrolling stopped working suddenly and this helped to fix it.
That was a simple fix. Just bought this thing from pawn shop for 300 bucks. Windows 10 quite interesting with touch screen; new to me. Thanks that worked.

This video was very helpful and easy to follow. Thank you for making it. I have an Acer V3 574. I was CERTAIN the mousepad wouldn't scroll, so I followed all these instructions. However I found that in fact the later model of Acer, unlike my previous one requires a TWO FINGER action to make it scroll down or up. One finger alone has no effect. Wish I'd looked into it more thoroughly before wasting a whole evening unnecessarily updating drivers.........
Thank you so much for posting this. Once I upgraded to Windows 10, I noticed my scroll option stopped working and I became kind of irritable. My last resort was this video. The only difference I had was that I already had the scroll option selected so I unchecked and rechecked it and it worked. So again, thanks.

it is difficult to do this when your scroll doesn't work... you make it look so easy
I had to install Synaptics driver like 5 times and my computer just wouldn't read it. Even though you recommended that driver, after 5 computer restarts I've decided to install the other driver that was offered: ELAN PS/2. It worked immediately!

Everybody! I had the same problem! No touchpad option or settings. I downloaded Driver booster 6. Installed all drivers it found and it worked! My touchpad does everything now! It's free too!

Acer E51-511 user here.
For me, I had to enable advanced touchpad setting in the BIOS settings (hit F2 at boot).
It warns you about an I2C driver needing to be installed, but I seemed to have it with a fresh version of Windows 10, so just carry on.
After booting, you can scroll with 2 fingers on the touchpad. You also now have extra touchpad settings in the control panel. To change the speed of the scroll, go to Advanced > Wheel > and increase the numbers in the input fields. I set mine to 10 (default was 3).

OMG thank you so much its workedddd omg. but when i had 64 bit idk i went to 86x but it says that i have to go back to vendor thingy idk so i tried to download straight from the very first folder not into 64 or 86 and it works omg im soo happy finally. now i can zoom in and scroll :DDD and again thank u
opps i meant if i have 32 bit system opps. i didnt know till i checked about my pc it has 64 bit system but oh well still work anyways

nevermind, it's working already. I installed ELANTECH instead because my laptop is aspire one and the only available driver is ELANTECH. Thank you so much for this!!! Who would've thought I'd be able to pull this one off by myself? I'm such a dumbass when it comes to techie stuff. BUT TADAAAA I made it! haha thank you again so so so so much!! :)
