your very welcome, but remember in the future even if the hardware is broken on your laptop you can just attach a USB mouse to the side and it will automatically recognize. I like a mouse sometimes more than the trackpad.
@@RubberWilbur I only used the touchpad because I have it set up in a way that the mouse and keyboard don't support so that was why I was frustrated. With that said I do appreciate the help and God bless you!

First, I would like to say to ignore the negative reviews from the people who are saying that you can not switch this laptop out of Windows 10 S Mode lnfo.help/-Aspire?裟 You can indeed switch this laptop out of Windows 10 S Mode IF you follow the correct instructions on the website. It will bring you to a page in the Microsoft Store where it will say to get Windows 10 Home. It will NOT ask you to purchase Windows 10 Home.
Go to the manufacturer website (acer in this case) in the download section. You will be asked for the model number or serial number (writen under the laptop). Download the latest bios and install it.
to Everline my main did not have touchpad option also, just follow this video by pressing F2 on start up, make 1 simple change then restart again, this method worked 4 me good luck.

I had to upgrade BIOS to get the TOUCHPAD option on the main menue, IT WORKED!

For the Acer's try updating the bios first. Some models do not have the touchpad option until you update the bios
