2 years period. I've had this problem for 2 years. Only to find out the solution was just a few clicks in the bios. THANK YOU!!

You have saved me from going insane ! I recently loaded W10 on a family laptop after a HDD swap for an SSD and W10 load and spent hours and hours trying to get it to work. reset the BIOS and happy days, it works. Well done and thank you ! Pugwash

For those who do not see the touchpad in the bios, update to the latest version of the bios. That's the only way it worked for me. I hope I was useful and thank you very much for the tutorial. Only good

I have/had this problem after Windows 10 ver 1909 "upgrade" neither Acer of Microsoft seem to have thought of what you did. There are other videos but your one was to the point and had sound (so much better).Anyway many thanks for your help, it ended days of frustration

Just fixed this for my neighbour, didn’t go into bios, just pressed fn and f7 and there it was. Must have accidentally disabled it. Thanks for the info. Brian in UK

I thought I was going to be sending you fan mail, but this seemed to disable the mouse completely on my old Acer notebook.
I almost couldn't get any response from my machine at all, lol. But I've got it back now - had to reset to advanced.
Maybe my problem is a different one. Thanks for making the video, anyway. It gave me something to think about

@@phonetricksphones5361 I'm having trouble with non responsive touch pad and I found a guy online who'd had to resort to re-soldering the connections to get the thing to work!
I'm thinking these Acers aren't that well put together - another one I used had the same problem with the HD, leading to progressively serious issues

Thanks it working for me now when turning on to basic now time to learn how to resurface my bowling ball right by myself messed it up after getting it resurfaced trying to do it at home with a bowling ball spinner made looked at a video to try to do it but messed it more a lot after looked at a video but saw another video a guy using 100 to 1000 grit to resurface it right and he used water.

okay thanks for the trick..had the problem that my pad was kinda lagging, years ago I could fix it with a Synaptics touchpad driver from Acer, but i cant find it anymore after switching to an ssd and win reinstallation. Thx ill try it! (Acer E17)

You have to update the bios using a usb mouse

It worked, but in my own case i couldn't find TOUCHPAD option in BIOS, i updated my BIOS then restarted and reinstalled the touchpad driver. thanks alot
