You are my hero! I have a 2013 Acer Aspire V5 that is like my comfort food...the keyboard is just the right size, the screen is perfect...anyway, I was worried it had finally died forever, but your video brought it back to life! Changed BIOS to Legacy and it booted right up! Thank you so much for your detailed, calm, and patient explanation. Cheers!
Glad your all set :) Always here if needed !!
@@PC_Monkey what can I do when there is no Legacy option
@@Xoqoniy 1. You have an Acer? Are you able to find any Recovery or Repair options in BIOS?
2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
@PC_Monkey The same is with me in the boot section, I cannot change it to legacy and also there was a previous windows update that did happen to me
You are a legend, a genius! Thank you so much, subscribed!
Thanks !! Glad this video was helpful :):)
Thank u! I switched legacy and uefi and it worked. U solved my problem dude🙌🙌
Happy to help :) Always here if needed !!
@MilliePongkan If you cannot locate the options to switch between or if switching does not work, then skip that step and try to reinstall Windows as seen here; ruclips.net/video/bIlW4im-tr4/видео.html. You can create your own Windows Install Media as seen here; ruclips.net/video/g_UhiHScaSI/видео.html. If the install fails, it could be due to a bad Hard Drive. Replace it as seen here; ruclips.net/video/tNp5Kbo9uHg/видео.html. Then you would have to install Windows onto the new one.
Diagnosed and fixed the problem in minutes. Thanks a lot!

Hey Jamie! Your advice on how to remove the hard drive and ram and then just put them back in worked perfectly!! It hadn't been booting up for over a week and while I tried a few things that seemed obvious, nothing worked. I was j-u-s-t on the verge of taking my acer laptop to a professional when I saw your vid. Thank you so much!! I am so happy, I've got it all back now!! You are a pleasure to listen to, in part b/c of your down to earth personality and simple way of explaining possible fixes. It took like 5 min to get it going again. TYSM!!!

I dug out an Acer computer and dusted it off to see it if works. Of course not! Google led me to this video. I have to say this is probably one of the best tech support videos I ever watched and I watch a lot of them nowadays lol. Clear demonstration, easy to follow and he tells you the reasons behind each action. So much appreciated!! Thank you!

@@PC_Monkey HI, I have an acer laptop. I followed all your steps AND bought a new hard drive. Only problem is on the boot screen when I try to switch "boot mode" from "UEFI" to "legacy"... there is only "UEFI" and no other options.
I'm unsure what to do as my error message is still there. Please help. I have no money to fix this at a laptop repair place. I'm disabled and unemployed. Thanks!
@@Dogwithoutaname Did you try installing an operating system to the new hard drive after installing it? You can see how to install Windows 10 here; ruclips.net/video/bIlW4im-tr4/видео.html. I cannot THANK YOU enough. You are an absolute lifesaver. I barely know the first thing about computers but I followed ur steps and changing the UEFS to that other type solved the problem. @@pratyushshahi972 Perhaps yes. If the other HDD also read as not being available, perhaps the issue is with the motherboard. Or, if the HDD has a HDD connector of some kind, a board or a cable, that may need to be replaced.
