Connie was cool, the others had the most meaningless storylines and dialogue that didn't matter, I like the actors, the addition of their characters in place of fan favorites was extremely silly. Imagine instead of watching Kelly lose her hearing in season 10 then all of a sudden be fine in season 11, we saw Jesus become the leader of Hilltop and have him deal with his home being destroyed by the Whisperers. Honestly the only good seasons were season 1 and season 9/10. Everything else was a differing degree of awful. Thing got more awful with how they handled the saviors though. Man, applying logic hurt my brain there. It's crazy how they could lift scenes right from the comic, but then somehow completely flip and ruin them (like Carl vs Negan).
They did this with way too many characters, honestly. I will never not be mad about Beth being killed after giving her an entire arc. They screwed Chandler and Emily so bad, they both bought houses close to set right before being basically fired for turning 18.
Truly awful decision. When we got the Rick spinoff it was great to see him catch up with Judith but the scene with RJ was bland & boring. How great would it have been for Rick to reunite with Carl
I was done caring, by that point. Like, you don't just kill off the main protagonist's son. It's bad writing form and when they kept so many other characters that nobody cared about around, it's just a slap in the viewer's face.
Breaking point for me. It was not necessary in the slightest. Glenn died at the right point in the story. His character remained consistent. Carl in s7 was a gangster. He looked Negan and Simon in the eyes with no fear whatsoever. Perfect build up. He was better than Rick that season. Only for s8 he dies like a pussy and he loves Negan now? At what point of Carl in s7 did we get that resembled the pacifist Carl we randomly saw in s8? Complete character 180 and a disrespect to everyone who was immersed into the story. Carl just needed to exist until the end and I wouldn’t have had a problem.
@@tyw2675 I agree but at the same time a lot of the characters were just normal people that never shot a gun before the apocalypse so it sort of makes sense to have them not be knowledgeable about the use of firearms.
@@davidcook680 the show wouldn’t work if everyone didn’t know how to shoot , emptying a whole clip before dropping one zombie in a herd would be fatal, they’d all be dead . But they do show characters doing target practice in a couple episodes
Not that I loved Morales but they could have done something different. He could have been a prisoner and end up like Alden. We could have learned more about the Saviors from his perspective. It was a weird decision for sure.
I think if they were even gonna bother bringing him back they should’ve at least kept him around for a little while. It just felt so lazy and all around pointless.
I think that was more of a testament to Daryl’s character. The fact that he was able to kill someone he once knew so easily tells you where Daryl was at that point in the series.
I liked Morales, and I liked that scene in Ep.2/3 of S8, I think It was basically here to show the saviors from another perspective, that they aren't all just villains but also people out there trying to survive, like Gracie's father that Rick killed just before he met Morales. It gave Rick a new perspective of things, we could see how It affected him and that was important fo the storytelling and Rick's character arc towards the end of the season. Also I think the actor that played Morales did a great job at portraying him and portray that drastic change between Season 1 and 8.
@@jerrystakes haha, loved the vid but i did disagree with you on that i think that moment was quite perfectly protrayed with how things turned out. morales was done with the nostalgia and was turning to shoot rick. and honestly it felt to me like darryl was ouside the room the whole time. there was nowhere else to go at that point so darryl did it before morales could.
In my opinion, I feel like they wasted his character. It would've been a cool idea for Morales to have survived. If I was a writer, instead of Daryl killing him, he would knock him unconscious and both him and Rick could've taken him prisoner. In fact, he would be one of the few Saviors who would become good overtime after getting his backstory beforehand. Btw, I would've shown how his family died and when the Saviors found him. I would have him survive through the All Out War Arc, the Whisperer Arc, and have him get killed in the Reaper Arc to at least make it feel important because the only major character who died in that storyline was Alden yet we still didn't get to see how he was killed.
Morales should have stayed around to the end of the whisperer arc, having Beta kill an established character before his own death would have been great. Although Beta shouldn’t have killed off until near the end of the main story I think his presence would have elevated commonwealth arc.
It's kind of interesting that the show had three different characters that could be Allen. Morales was a guy they met early on, looks very close to the comic counterpart, and had a wife and kids. Then there was the guy named Allen who had a wife named Donna who we see die, but he's basically just Allen in name alone and joins the Governor which he doesn't do in the comics (I can't remember if he died before or after we even met the Governor). And then in season 4 we had that guy with the two kids who died and left them in the group's care where one kid kills their sibling because yadda yadda yadda. It's like Allen/Morales is one character split into three.
Yeah, there are several characters in the show that take the storyline of Donna, allen, ben and billy. We do get The whole family in the show besides Billy but they don’t have the storyline like they do in the comics besides Donna dying and allen becoming angry. Then we have Mika and Lizzy who take ben and billys storyline, Morales who fills in for the family back in season 1, carol who takes carls role in killing Billy, tyreese dies in Wiltshire Estate where Donna dies in the comics, Carl also kills a young boy back in the prison in season 3 which is similar to killing Billy etc. for such a minor family in the comics, their storyline and plot are really important to the growth of the characters. It’s also too iconic to leave out of the show
Yeah. I'm not sure why the show didn't keep Morales as the "Allen" of the show. I feel like he could have added more than T-dog. That's not to disrespect to T-dog, but the story never used his character well enough, and Morales always seemed more interesting and dynamic.
There's quite a few decisions the walking dead made that were flat out dumb , Morales coming back for 5 minutes just to die, Carl dying, Sadiiq dying, Tara dying after she just started to become fleshed out, Enid dying after she just started to become interesting, Tyreese dying, Sasha dying, Noahs death after Beth died for him, Jesus dying how he did with as skilled as he was. So many poor character deaths for shock value.
Jesus’s actor was getting pissed off with the director and asked to have his character killed off. His actor literally trained to learn martial arts just so he could audition for the role of Jesus cause that was his favorite character in the comics. However the entire time throughout all out war they weren’t utilizing him every iconic moment he had in the comics they were giving to Maggie and it was taking away from his character.
I don't think anyone felt bad when Sasha died. That actor is the biggest plank of wood and her character was erratic and angry to the point of annoyance. Tyreese had the most pointless preventable death ever.
@@BlazingOwnager how you described Sasha was exactly how I felt about Glenn which made me asked why so many people liked him. Also to me, Tyrese had the saddest death of the show. Him crossing over with the little girls who died telling him to cross over with them still pulls my heart strings
Tbf this might not be the saddest death but shiva the tiger dying to a couple walkers even though shes an adult bengal tiger and there rotting humans like one tiger once killed 400 people in india
With TWD losing both Carl and Rick along with Dwight and Morgan within episodes of Morales returning, it wouldn't have hurt the budget to add Morales as a fleshed out character. Adding 1 and losing 4 is still a net loss of 3 people. Especially since he's an OG season 1 character. Morales could have taken the role of post all out war Comic Dwight who led the sanctuary after Negan got imprisoned. Morales could have gotten shot in the head by Daryl in season 11 at the commonwealth.
I always thought that it did have impact, Daryl showing up and instantly killing him without hesitation showed how far they had come since season 1 and how their morals (one might say their "morales") were now a shade of grey when compared to the officer friendly attitude at the beginning. Daryl was out for revenge against the saviors and didn't care who was at the receiving end as long as it wasn't Rick's group, and this behavior shocks Rick into questioning whether they're still the good guys or if they're as "bad" (depends on perspective) as the saviors. I will agree that it was missed opportunity and more could have been done, but the impact that the short 5 minutes had on the overall season and story as a whole was pretty meaningful, in my opinion
I actually liked what they did, although bringing him back was pretty redundant. He was barely a character to begin with. Daryl was right, it didn't matter who he was, he was with the enemy. And he clearly didn't care when he saw Rick again, even though Rick did. I honestly would've appreciated seeing Jim as a walker more. He had way more screen time than Morales did.
Personally, I was hoping for Morales to join Rick again. We would have seen the return of a member of the original group from Atlanta which in my opinion was the best group, don't you feel that way?
@@christianrowbotham7386 I mean, I do, I just never cared about Morales. He had the least amount of screen time, outside of the background characters without names that just existed to die in the first camp.
@Zeroshiki sure Morales didn't have much screen time, but he was a likeable character. He did have a lot of screentime before departing, though. He was the one who referred Rick as officer friendly. And I liked how he said "hey new guy come to say hello," when Rick found his family
I get the idea of showing this guy who was an easy going guy, a family guy, a guy Rick knew, and having him show up as a Savior. It'd be like Luke finding out some guy from his school was one of the Storm troopers holding Leia. But yeah, wasted potential. Imagine Negan realizing Morales has a connection to Rick, and making him his #3 in the saviors. Or maybe seeing Rick makes him not as viscous as the rest of Negan's band, and he becomes a double agent. But no, five minutes and done.
I feel like for a video on people switching sides, some good examples would be Tara starting with the Governor, then joining Rick. Eugene starting with Rick and then going to the Saviors, then back to Rick. Dwight with the Saviors and then trying to join Rick but being told by Tara of all people that you "Can't just switch sides." Jadis being in her own group, betraying Rick on 2 occasions to the Saviors, then she joins with Rick. Not to mention she then joins the CRM. And then, of course, Negan trying to integrate into Rick's group. And then him infiltrating the Whisperers to help eliminate Alpha.
They tried to recreate the lost art of anything could happen. That was the last thing anyone would have predicted. Yet they played it safe with everyone besides Carl which turned out to be awful considering what we got after. But the wars, all those endless Saviors and Whispers yet hardly any of the main cast died after the few exceptions. The Reapers wiped out entire group except the main cast. Then they announced who was gonna be in the spinoffs. That took alot of the suspense
He shouldve had a bigger part with the saviors where he was a threat for Rick for at least a few episodes instead of bringing back just to kill him in 5 minutes
having Carl die to save someone ends up dying anyways was the worst decision imo. If he got bit saving Judith or something it would of made sense but... man what a waste.
I felt the same way with Telltale's TWD Season 4 video game. Almost the exact same scenario they pulled with Eddie that the TV show did with Morales here.
Morales’s return felt like the impact with Carl losing an eye with either playing a role or having some impact going forward but ended up being pointless. Carl losing his eye didn’t really cause trouble for his sight in the show and Morales gets forgotten about and never even mentioned after his death.
I actually liked the cameo. It tied up a lose end, quickly gave us the story of what happened to him and his family, gave us his Savior story and showed us who he became. No complaints and it's probably my favorite cameo of all.
@@MartinsGarage97 and it doesn't fold them or incapacitate them. You can have a .50 bmg do nothing against a walker simply because a non-main character isn't using it
It’s because Hollywood in general has committed to always showing ARs and AKs as fully automatic weapons with ridiculously high ammo capacity to set that image in people’s minds. Just subtle propaganda
I also feel killing off Shane was a bad idea. He could’ve ran off with that kid to his group and then came back into the later seasons. Or if he did get stabbed then pretended to be dead and then once Rick and Carl ran away from the herd then Shane could’ve ran away in a random direction, Shane in the later season probaly would’ve been huge for the show especially if he was with neegon or the governor..
You get paid a ton for an on screen death. I think it was like 40k just to be an extra doing a special zombie death, like a close up of a head getting caved in
Some had grudges that made them want to kill all the saviors. For example Daryl, Tara, Morgan and the show viewers. Here was Morales who was a savior and a survivor, because he had a personal connection to the group. It made their savior slaughter a bit more real because any of them could of been part of Rick's group. Especially after Rick had just killed the baby Gracie's father. Next Daryl kills the savior they promised to let go. All three deaths disturbed Rick. He obviously believed what he was saying about "A man's word" having to mean something. Just as he felt differently about killing a savior he knew personally or someone who was just protecting their baby. The baby was close to Judith's age. Later Rick uses the same speech to gain the saviors trust only to kill them. If Morales wasn't like that originally but he became the villain, should they make an exception simply because they knew him before?
Interesting take. Actually I always thoguht Morales' return was cool. Yes, it was short and not very meaning and impactful, but I really think it served its purpose. As you just said in the beginning of your video it was interesting to see two people starting together finding themselves on opposite sides years later. And I also don't think it's bad that Morale's come back was so short lived, in fact, that's what I liked about it, especially because of what Daryl said afterwards. It doesn't matter who he was (at least not in-universe), he was an enemy and had to go. Morales even himself questioned Rick's behavior when Rick said he would try to find another way to handle this, by asking him "Why? Just because we knew each other for a few days back at the start?" And technically he's right; it was so long ago that it didn't matter anymore. It was either him or Rick, and he eventually lost. I know many fans were unsatisfied by this, but I really do think it was a bone chilling moment seeing him becoming an enemy. I actually prefer this way of how thing went than taking Morales into the group and making yet another long-lasting boring character with endless plot armour and zero personality. That's the same reason why I have no problem with the fact why we never learned what happened to Heath. Because that's one of the few things that are realistic on the show. People dissapear all the time without a trace, and especially in an apocalypse this is very likely to happen. The only thing I really didn't like about Morale's return was how they 1. announced and promoted it and edged the viewers because I really think it would've been far better if it happened out of nowhere but sadly everything is about marketing these days, and 2. how they made a cliffhanger + splitted his return into 3 different scenes which kind of took away the "vibe" and also didn't make much sense considering they killed him anyway. I think it would've been much cooler to see that 6 minute event happening in only one scene instead of a cliffhanger and multiple story switches, but I still like it as I said. I simply don't believe every single character needs a 10/10 redemption arc and a tragic and epic death. If they would've kept every single halfway interesting character to keep their story on, almost nobody would've died in those 11 seasons and the whole series would've felt like a minecraft gamemode 1 session.
I feel like he had wasted potential but I was never invested in the character and I even forgot who he was knowing I recognized him from somewhere. Carls death is still #1 worst decision for me with the entirety of season 11 being a close second
I agree that they wasted the potential, but I think that Rick meeting him after all that time really mad him question how much he's changed since back at the quarry. It also could've had Rick pondering if he lost everything just like Morales, would he had fallen in with the saviors? After Daryl NO-SCOPED Morales is when I think Rick could've been thinking "Even after this war is there going to be anything of who I used to be left?". They def wasted potential, but I think that it was still a influential part for Ricks mindset during the war with the saviors.
I have no problem with the killing of Morales, It's to make a point about no matter who they are, or who they were known to, if they stand with The saviours, then they are the enemy.
I feel like it would been a lot interesting if they explore it more as well. Both men lost so much and went on different paths which would have been cool to see how different tragedy can make people change
At this point AMC was still playing to a bigger audience rather than dedicated fans. I watched the first season 10 times at least and had no idea who Morales was when I saw him, imagine people who hadn't even watched the entire series.
I really liked that story arc. I remember I had stopped watching The Walking Dead that season so religiously and had just happen to see it on TV late at night. I said let me watch some of it and see how it is. I remember not really grasping the story of what they were doing and where everyone was. I began to lose interest and I thought back on the original seasons. Thought of all the great characters weve lost over the years and then I thought "huh whatever happened to that Morales guy?" Bam not even 10 seconds later he appears on the screen. I felt as if I manifested him into the show. I felt some kind of interest again seeing a familiar face from when I was first really into the show. Then he died and I was like woah that was cool. Just because I felt for sure he was going to be around for a while and it gave me that old Walking Dead taste where anybody could die. I then watched it until Alpha put all those heads on spikes. Haven't continued since then.
I think it was 7 years too late. And Morales made a poor decision to leave the main group. I think there was something behind it, he wanted to be in charge. But he couldn’t because of officer friendly. So he decided to lead his own family, but didn’t take responsibility, and blamed Rick for it. And just like his decision to move on. The show runners moved on without giving him much thought or time
As someone who watched the show live from the beginning but stopped around Negans introduction and has now begun to rewatch, I wasn’t involved in the hype for his return. when I somewhat recently got to this part in the show I thought it was interesting! I agree the death was a bit quick and brutal by Daryl but I also thought it was realistic in a way. The whole slaughter of the outposts was brutality after brutality by the group and this was no different. I had no idea about all the hype the show did around Morales returning and I think if I was apart of that I would also be disappointed! But since I wasn’t I felt when watching that it was fine.
I honestly don’t blame them for bringing him back and killing him immediately. You couldn’t enter a chat without someone wanting to know where Morales is and I was getting tired of it so I’m sure they were too
If only they could’ve brought Morales to be around for a couple of episodes, then give him a redemption ark of some sort like him side and fight with the saviors and then ultimately sees his decision as wrong or something, and then joins Rick, but dies in the end having to hold off saviors to save like children and or his new found family with ricks group due to how he was a family man, but that’s what I would’ve done if I was a showrunner 😂
The dumbest decision they made was killing off carl, completley ruining ricks character arc and then doing away with him shortly after. Even if Rick still had to go Carl shouldnt have died.
Liking this video before I even hear what you have to say. Both Morales and Carl, just tossed off the show when each character offers a fully, 100%, unique perspective to the show.
I think the best thing the show could do with the potential of the new spinoff is the main characters of commonwealth on different sides of a new cause, & see them battle with dealing with your friends on different sides and the sacrifices they have to do in order to get their way, which includes killing certain casts members
They could of done a lot more with Morales coming back in season 8 but they did not.... Not sure if it was lazy writing or maybe the actor could only come back for this short scene but it would of been cool to even see his back story and to see how he ended up there. They could of done that with a 10-15 minute flash back but they said NOPE!
I think it'd be super fucking funny if the fandom was like "I wonder where Morales is. Think he is in hell, heaven, purgatory? Did him dying here isekai him into the comics walking dead?" To keep the joke alive
It was such a waste. I would have liked to have seen Morales and Rick have a real conversation, showing different perspectives from people who were once allies. Even some tiny bit of warmth between the two, instead of the seething looks. With so many characters lacking screen time and development, why waste this time to basically do nothing?
That’s why they brought him back to show how much the group didn’t recognize themselves or that it is easy for someone I were close to, to be on the opposite side. That’s all, it wasn’t anything bad
I was wondering what happened to him and if his kids survived. Strange to think if he stayed in Rick group he likely would have develop a relationship with Rick group. Probably would have even gotten close to Daryl and never get killed by him. Just one decision changed the outcome of his life and the show.
Dumbest decision ever was killing Carl, second was making Tara a major character while killing off Eastman an actual likable character immediately and what they did to and with Morales was just plain stupid and useless. So much so I would not of blamed the actor if he refused to reprise the role due to creative differences but I understand that a pay day is a pay day and exposure is exposure so he was put in a really tough spot to turn this opportunity down considering how popular the show once was but yeah the showrunners really did his character dirty. I’m sorry but I just don’t see Morales turning heel and going out like that.
Season 8 was so full of bad decisions from Gimple. And fans nearly tuned out as a result. I wish Angela Kang had taken over at that point instead of just seasons 9-11. The quality of her in charge and Gimple was night & day.
I'll tell you why. I remember watching the walking dead while the episodes were coming out. All the way to the end. And the forums, and fb groups, were ALL calling for morales to come back. I honestly think the writers got really annoyed from all the speculation and anticipation so they just brought him back and killed him for 5 minutes of screen tome
What happened to Morales here is nothing compared to what they did to Jake Abel's Michael in Supernatural, he was a more important character in the story, he disappeared for longer (10 years) and had a more ridiculous ending
Lol it would've been absolutely hilarious if Morales returned but he was exactly the same as we last saw him. Like all jolly and up beat and literally wearing the same clothes.
I don't agree it would be easy to run into people you know in a post apocalyptic world. The show makes it seem easy because it's necessary for the story
Man Gimple really did mess up things for TWD over time. I'll never understand why AMC loves him so much when he's the guy who got people to give up on TWD.
I think if he got a whole episode dedicated to his story in S8 E3. We could’ve gotten to hear him and Rick catch up on what had happened and shit. There was potential here, but unfortunately it was just kinda used as another wool over the eyes moment from the writers
I think the situation didn’t allow for much more interaction time. Since it was a full force attack on that base . It was a kill or be killed situation and both sides would have to end the other side as quickly as possible . Those 5 minutes shared between rick and morales were like an eternity in terms of battle. They should have brought him in during another situation so that they interacted more.
To this day, I am the only person still with the theory that Beth's death was a terrible hasted reshoot from how it was supposed to down. My evidence? In the show, she is shot from beneath the chin, with an exit at the back of the head; however all the makeup put the wound on her forehead, and in the flashback to her later, the wound is still on her forehead. Which means I am almost positive the original plan was for something to happen and to get point blanked by the sheriff lady under different circumstances.
Morales should've lowered his weapon and Darryl should've shot him when he wasn't a threat anyway. It would've been a wake up call for Rick as far as what his group was becoming.
bringing back morales was interesting especially for fans who have been around since season one like myself. This would’ve been a nice way to gain back. Some of those fans have been gone for five seasons, they could’ve been creative. They could’ve easily switched back to how they used to film the show and how they used to edit cut scenes and how Walker used to be a threat they could’ve brought all of that back since the show has turned into a basic generic looking mess. This could’ve brought back a lot of old memories for fans, not to mention, expand Rick a little bit more into ways that we’ve never seen him expand before, especially when it comes to touching on the past because that is obviously very hard for him to do given all the events that he’s been through. This could’ve been more creative, but they just did what Star Wars did introduced a very interesting character and then killed him right off…. HELL I could say the same thing about Terminator dark fate…. Nobody liked that decision😂

At what point of Carl in s7 did we get that resembled the pacifist Carl we randomly saw in s8? Complete character 180 and a disrespect to everyone who was immersed into the story. Carl just needed to exist until the end and I wouldn’t have had a problem.
One of their worst decisions that no one seems to mention much:
Not hiring a firearms expert to provide guidance on the show.
@@tyw2675 God, tell me about it
@@tyw2675 I agree but at the same time a lot of the characters were just normal people that never shot a gun before the apocalypse so it sort of makes sense to have them not be knowledgeable about the use of firearms.
What do you mean. Everyone on the show was sniper level shooters. One shot one kill. Always.
@@tyw2675 probably the most irrelevant decision ever lol. I understand where you’re coming from but it really doesn’t matter
@@davidcook680 the show wouldn’t work if everyone didn’t know how to shoot , emptying a whole clip before dropping one zombie in a herd would be fatal, they’d all be dead . But they do show characters doing target practice in a couple episodes
I thought it was hilarious how Daryl just one tapped him instantly😂
Same. Morales is what happens when your villains don’t have main villain plot armor lol
Daryl is their lord and savior for TWD, pretty much what’s left on the show
Not that I loved Morales but they could have done something different. He could have been a prisoner and end up like Alden. We could have learned more about the Saviors from his perspective. It was a weird decision for sure.
I think if they were even gonna bother bringing him back they should’ve at least kept him around for a little while. It just felt so lazy and all around pointless.
@ItsMikeMatthew whats even worse is why hes so hostile. Hes basicslly feral lol
@@daoyang223It makes sense, we've seen how a lot of the show's villains made complete 180s from where they started.
I think that was more of a testament to Daryl’s character. The fact that he was able to kill someone he once knew so easily tells you where Daryl was at that point in the series.
TWD creators don't think that deeply. This is the most basic show I have ever seen when it comes to character decisions.
@@CorrectionUnknownthe show is utter garbage including its audience after season 5
Why wouldn’t he shoot this piece of garbage? He barely knew him , hasn’t seen him
For years? And he was threatening Rick
Carl's death is the dumbest decision ever.
they chose to kill a character over a slight payment increase😐
Literally so many people I know dropped the show after his death, they literally killed the show with that
People always said “the show isn’t the comic book…” yeah it clearly isn’t lol…
"i know who it was, dont matter. not one bit.."
Lmfao love it
@@jerrystakes haha, loved the vid but i did disagree with you on that i think that moment was quite perfectly protrayed with how things turned out. morales was done with the nostalgia and was turning to shoot rick. and honestly it felt to me like darryl was ouside the room the whole time. there was nowhere else to go at that point so darryl did it before morales could.
@@wolfguywerewolfchannel2099 morales is too far gone
Biggest single mistake...firing darabount. Period
Agreed
daryl having that shane mindset and killing morales right off
while rick tries to switch back just because he saw a familiar face
@@CrazyWeridoRH he died before they met the governor.
@@commandershepard6856 Shane dy8ng as well in retrospect,
when coral died, thats the dumbest decision :-(
With TWD losing both Carl and Rick along with Dwight and Morgan within episodes of Morales returning, it wouldn't have hurt the budget to add Morales as a fleshed out character.
Killing off Carl is hands down the worst decision they've made
Stopped after that happened, that was the last nail in the coffin
I don't remember AMC teasing Morales return in the promos for season 8. It was a suprise for everyone, it leaked 4 days before the episode aired.
It's so sad how TWD went from universally acclaimed television to lazy soap opera slop
I just thought “Oh, that guy from Season 1. Okay.” And then “Oh, he’s dead now. Okay.” I didn’t think much of it.
I felt the same way with Telltale's TWD Season 4 video game. Almost the exact same scenario they pulled with Eddie that the TV show did with Morales here.
It’s crazy Gimple wanted a reason why Rick spares Negan and the Saviours, yet kills off Morales who could’ve easily filled that role
The automatic gun fire on walkers WAS ALWAYS GOOFY TO ME. Period. You ain't hitting anything. Let alone the head.
Killing Wayne Dunlap was the dumbest decision
I think killing Shane off so early was a bad decision
Noah’s end hadn’t set well with me after Beth and Tyrese’s sacrifice was for him to carry on as an official member to the surviving group
hello, in universe i dont think it was 7 years, it was about 2 years at most until they had seen morales
It wasnt simply that
there was a strong presence in the fanbase borderline trolling where people kept asking "but where is Morales??"
I feel like he had wasted potential but I was never invested in the character and I even forgot who he was knowing I recognized him from somewhere. Carls death is still #1 worst decision for me with the entirety of season 11 being a close second
The dumbest decision ever made was killing Carl
I agree that they wasted the potential, but I think that Rick meeting him after all that time really mad him question how much he's changed since back at the quarry. It also could've had Rick pondering if he lost everything just like Morales, would he had fallen in with the saviors?
After Daryl NO-SCOPED Morales is when I think Rick could've been thinking "Even after this war is there going to be anything of who I used to be left?". They def wasted potential, but I think that it was still a influential part for Ricks mindset during the war with the saviors.
But where is Heath?
Tbh this was just scott gimple wanting the fans to shut up about morales lol
This season makes Daryl look so bad because wouldn’t he have thought about his family or something since he didn’t even know their fate.
I have no problem with the killing of Morales,
It's to make a point about no matter who they are, or who they were known to, if they stand with The saviours, then they are the enemy.
I feel like it would been a lot interesting if they explore it more as well. Both men lost so much and went on different paths which would have been cool to see how different tragedy can make people change
“Subvert your expectations” is the front runner saying for crappy Hollywood entertainment. Thanks D&D
Morales only knew Rick for like a week or so
Morales' first mistake was going to Birmingham Alabama.
Morales’ return almost feels like parody. Like the meme of him coming back actually took physical form in what nearly amounts to a joke scene.
I was wondering what happened to him and if his kids survived. Strange to think if he stayed in Rick group he likely would have develop a relationship with Rick group. Probably would have even gotten close to Daryl and never get killed by him. Just one decision changed the outcome of his life and the show.
worst decision was to kill of shane and then x2 after killing carl
I I was hoping for Morales to join Rick again. I was excited because we finally see a character from the original group
I never understood why amc didn’t treat it as good as breaking bad with all the money it made
I agree I didn’t care at all about Morales and his circumstance of returning season 8 is what ruin the concept of having him
We all have a dark side and it was a shame that Morales only gave us a glimpse of his. Totally goofy.
Plottwist . HERSHAL WAS THE REAL NEGAN
When they did the reveal in season 8 I literally couldn't figure out who it was. Seemed like a real desperate grasp for a cameo
Morales would of added more than Enid, TWD kept so many characters that were useless.
2:42 Otto Hightower is an unwavering and loyal Hand
Lmfao I wish I edited in a pic of him when I said that
I loved it. Daryl didn't see the point in risking anything.
I don't agree it would be easy to run into people you know in a post apocalyptic world. The show makes it seem easy because it's necessary for the story
No doubt in my mind gimple did this to mess with the fans especially the ones who memed the morales is negan bit.
This isn't even in the top one hundred dumbest thing they did with this show.
I never even noticed this guy came back when I watched the show.
Now that I think about Morales getting quickscoped by Daryl, I find it funny now lol
I think the show killing off too many of the main characters was the main issue. Especially Rick... There is no show without Rick in my opinion.
I’d have rather him had an arc where he defects instead of Dwight (I don’t care for Dwight) or with Dwight (and/or Eugene).
Dwight is a great character
Until Fear
bringing back morales was interesting especially for fans who have been around since season one like myself.
