As a vtuber fan coming BACK to fighting games because of Idol Showdown, let me just say that it's awesome seeing a vtuber outsider get excited for this game.
I might suggest you have a stream where play the game, and any time you see a name you don't recognize, you pause the game, have chat send you a favorite clip of that person as a way to help you get to see how deep the references actually go. Because I've been a Holobro for 3 years solid and still found a couple references to things I never knew about. Shoukd make for good content regardless!! Keep up the good stuff.
Thank you for sharing your idea, that is a really good thought! I usually stream Street Fighter, but i am actually considering leaning more into VTuber related things because of all the positive feedback i got through Idol Showdown, also the community seems to be really nice and its fun to share good things which each other. I think i will plan a day for that in the future so everybody can also bring their favorite clips, it would be great to laugh together and have a great time. So thank you very much for that! Also i am very glad that you enjoyed it and that you are getting back to fighting games. Any plans to hop into the new Street Fighter this Friday?

To answer your question Roberu is our winning son. He's a hell of a bartender and deserves every bit of love you can spare. He's part of the second gen of Holostars, a male vtuber agency owned and operated by Cover, the company that also owns and operates Hololive which is a female vtuber agency. Also, correct, Yagoo is the CEO of Cover, but he's also the resident merch model and is absolutely best girl. If you're serious about being interested in checking out a few streams then I would suggest Takanashi Kiara because she's Austrian so her sense of humor, style, and sensibilities are so German that it hurts. No shit, one of her outfits is a dirndl. I'm personally a chumbud, which means that Gawr Gura is my oshi, but I've always loved German shit, women in particular, so I find Kiara's accent cute AF. Idk if that's because of my German heritage or not, but my wife's grandma was fresh off the boat from Deutschland so she was the closest thing I could find here in the states, looked AMAZING in a dirndl, and introduced me to milcheries so I stand by my appraisal of Deutsch women. There's lots of great vtubers outside of Hololive, but honestly you can't go wrong with a Hololive girl. Yagoo has absolutely nailed it.
KFP bias here, but I can't help but agree. Kiara has a sense of humor and a spanking I haven't seen from any of the other girls. She's a rare gem.
@@MyselfAgain Samegaki 4 life, but I respect Kiara alot. Ame does a lot of work behind the scenes, but Kiara puts in work like nobody else. She's always got 3 or 4 projects in the pipes and I feel like she's always the one that's bringing the girls together. She's kind of like the gravity well of Myth.

Glad you enjoying the game and learn more about them. If there's something i do recommend to check is Hololive alternative 1-2 on YT, it's MV featuring most the girls and maybe you can find some hint/moves that related in this game too.

Just to explain the Yagoo thing: yes, hes the CEO. His name is actually Motoaki Tanigo, but because Japanese names are written with Kanji, it can be difficult to read someone's name. Most Kanji have more than 1 reading, and names don't follow the usual rules for figuring out which reading to use. One of the members accidentally read his name as Yagoo instead of Tanigo, and it stuck.
Also, fans have taken to referring to him as best girl, because he's so willing to embrace the community memes around him. He often poses with members' merch for promotional photos, and has occasionally appeared in videos or special events with the members.
Also, the others you get at the start are a reference to the holostars, the learn known make counterpart to hololive. In particular the plastic ball is a reference to Vesper Noir's story about how he worked in it and it sucked, but one day he got to inbox and set up like 40 computers. He ended up creating a huge plastic ball from all the plastic protective stuff he peeled off the computers. He kept it for years as a reminder that there's always a chance your day might not suck. It's an emotional support ball :)
