    Thought I would weigh-in on my experience with Antigravity. Would not recommend.
    Cranked the GTR great, and would drive around town fine.
    Once I put the car on the track, it was not happy. Lots of error codes:
    P1550 - Battery Current Sensor
    C1109 - ABS actuator and control unit power supply voltage
    C1145 - Yaw rate sensor malfunctioning
    Car actually shut down during a lap and had to get towed off. Drove to AutoZone, bought a standard lead acid battery and finished my weekend.
    Yes, it was kept on the tender. Yes, the connections were solid. Would have kept quiet and moved on to another lithium ion brand (which I have and zero issues), but Antigravity’s support was bad enough to share my experience.
    In short, zero help with logistics of shipping it back and more importantly despite their website and warranty form stating they offer a refund, they don’t. Best they will do is ship you a replacement.
    Didn’t want a replacement given my experience, thankfully the shop I bought it from took the replacement into inventory and the shop refunded me.
    Stay away.

It's just a basic 06 GMC Sierra 4.8L, but im all about using the best and improving my vehicle in every way possible. One of the biggest parts i love about the battery is the weight savings, lightening up the front end would be perfect to improve performance. Will soon be getting a fiber glass hood as well so that will be a ton of weight savings.

    How would these work in a Truck operating High amperage draw Winches? would they overheat under a 450 amp load for say 30-60 seconds at a time? Alternator output in the 185 amp range. What is the automatic cutoff for low voltage? If it's too high a threshold, it might be annoying for a truck with electronics that don't shut off after hours averaging 1 amp parasitic draw. Looks like there's a female thread in the top middle of the posts to add additional power feeds??

    Hello Antigravity Batteries,
    What about the alternator current ampere output into the battery? Will it be needing any specific alternator to match the LFP chemistry in term of the current ampere the alternator will be imputing into the LFP while charging. Can the same alternator that is now working with the AGM battery also work with the LFP battery?
    My car is 2009 BMW X5 E70 3.0si series and I am currently using a H8 size 90Ah AGM battery, with the coding range limit of 105Ah AGM or 110Ah other type with a dimension of L 35cm x W 17.5 x H 19cm. So will LFP battery be suitable for my car please?
    Thank you,
    Regards.

    • @AntigravityBatteries
      @AntigravityBatteries  2 года назад +3

      No self heating built-in... but the battery would have to be completey frozen to not charge. Best if you could contact us so we can explain severe cold weather operation. If you simply going skiing for a while it won't have any trouble, if you leave the vehicle outside for a weeks or so in below freezing temps that is not its best use. But the battery is insulated inside also, so it can handle freezing weather... just not outside long term.

    Hi - just looking at options for replacing a customer's starter battery. This is in a VW Westfalia camper with an auxiliary battery, which will be a LiFePo4 100AH. The system will have a Noco Genious10 shore-power charger (w/LiFePo4 capability), plus 100W solar with a LiFePo4 DC-DC charger. This system should be pretty well-equipped to prevent the under-voltage "sleep-mode" function of a BMS controlled LiFePo4 battery from activating under most conditions - but I can imagine scenarios that could allow that to happen (being many days off hiking while leaving the van in a shaded camping situation, for example) , so I'm interested in your system. But I'm not sure I see how pushing a fob button on a battery that has already reached it's LV disconnect point will be a sure-thing in terms of providing sufficient cranking amperage. The stock battery for this engine is rated around 650CCA. Are you saying the "sleep-mode" function kicks in with that much CCA in reserve?

    • @AntigravityBatteries
      @AntigravityBatteries  2 года назад

      Sorry for late reply... yes this battery would have enough power upon using the Wireless Jump Starting keyfob feature to easily start the Westfalia. But keep in mind upon this emergency start attempt the battery is in a discharged state. So you want to make sure all your accessories and attachement to the Deep Cycle battery is OFF. You want the remaining power to go only to starting the vehicle and not being robbed by having other accessories ON like the A/C or whatever else might be trying to get battery energy. But yes it will easily start the VW. Also note once you have used the re-start feature make sure you recharge the battery or drive the car sufficiently to fully recharge the battery. Driving only one hour will not fully recharge the battery... but will give it an OK charge. After a use you want to really get the battery back to a full state of charge before using the re-start feature again.

Moving the battery out of the engine compartment such as to the trunk will keep it away from engine heat, but it can still easily get well above 113 degrees in the summer. I would also like to know how these batteries tolerate heat compared to lead acid batteries.

    • @mrvang8077
      @mrvang8077 9 дней назад

      It just seems to me like lead acid battery is the sure way to go if you don't to worry about a dead battery in both cold and hot clinate condition. I really like to purchase this battery, but just wasn't if it's even worth shelling out that kind of money for a new battery that couldn't handle extreme cold and hot temperature. I love the light weight battery inovation. I really do hope they make more improvement to these new light weight battery that can handle extreme climate change condition. I really do think this manufacturer is going in the right direction and could possibly be the best car battery out there if they can solve different climate condition features to make this battery worthy of its asking price. I'm all ears for a much better technology that can tackle any climate condition. @@averyalexander2303

    • @mrvang8077
      @mrvang8077 9 дней назад

      yep! Extreme heat and cold clinate can degrade a car battery. I just recently heat shield wrap my car battery and all the hoses that are close to the high temp generating engine inside the engine bay to help reduce the degradation life of the battery and hoses that are prone to deterioration in extreme heat. Why manufacturerels don't just heat shield wrap these critical parts to prolong the life is something that they should've thought of and done it before assembling the car together.

    • @AntigravityBatteries
      @AntigravityBatteries  2 года назад

      For vehicle Batteries Lithium can handle heat very well and is safe being we have built-in protections from overheating. Though any battery can have a shorter life due to higher heat... and lithium will outlast a lead/acid in similar heat ranges by quite a ways. If you have had this problem or have a higher performance car with a turbo or headers close to the battery consider a heatsheild as a precaution in that hot of weather.

    • @BankaiSamoan
      @BankaiSamoan 2 года назад

    • @AntigravityBatteries
      @AntigravityBatteries  2 года назад

      If you not riding alot and keeping it parked yes you can just disconnect it for longer storage times. We are in Calif and go to Vegas a few times a year, so we do know how hot it can get for sure. But ambient temps are not the main concern. Its the riding and the battery being next to the exhaust, like on some Custom bikes like Harleys where they have modified the bike and the battery is close to header or the oil tank. Most modern bike will not be phased by the battery in high temps unless the radiator is right next to the battery like on some Ducatis. So you should not have a problem if the battery is in a stock bike in its normal position.

      Exactly and for that money, I can buy 4 or more AGM batteries. And some of my factory fitted conventional batteries have lasted 16 years. I doubt I will get 32 years out of an Antigravity battery if we go by the 2x or more life expectancy.
