Easy DIY tutorial for making a whitewashed hairpin nightstand!
Dimensions: 18"w x 16"d x 24 3/4"h Хобби
OMG...Thank you for the clear demonstration of this.
Ive been bing watching your vids... Makes me happy for some reason!
Loved it!! It turned out great! 😍
Nice job, once again, gives us novices hope to build great looking projects with normal tools!
Thank you! That's definitely our goal...
This is a great project! A buddy of mine has asked me to build a couple of these for his daughter.
i just want to say i’ve gotten sucked into your channel and i’m SO happy i’ve found it i’m moving in 2 weeks and wanted to DIY majority if not all the pieces in the space and i’m stealing ALL of your ideas 🤣 THANK YOU
Great video. I like the detail and the cinematography. Thank you
Wow it came out really nice great job 👍. Love your editing style 😊
it turned out so good!! ty for making this video
Love it!!! Good job!
If you don't like the music... turn down or mute. Also if she is happy working without a desk. 🎼That's her prerogative 🎼
I like the sanding part !
Really came together, nice work! 🤓👍🏼
Hermoso proyecto 😍
This is great. I expect that I will just make the box and stand it on its end without the legs for an end table. Thanks for the idea!
Looks great. Thanks for sharing it.
Those hairpin legs look super stur-urr-dy! Dunno why i spelt it like that but they do. Love the end result!
Thanks!
I built two of these yesterday. The only difference from your plans were that I used wood glue and pocket holes to secure the top/bottom pieces together before I secured them to the sides. I didn't want them to start to separate over time. If you do them on the bottom, you will never see them. This is EASILY the one of the most simple and impactful builds I've done for my teenage daughter. She thought I bought them. Says all I need to say about how well they went over.
New subscriber here. Enjoyed this one. Great job and it looks easy!
easy enough with a nice turnout never tried the whitewash look going to have to give it a go on next night stand build
THX LOVE...LOVE YOUR VIDEOS...KEEP THEM COMING
Beautiful !!!!
great ideas on this channel
so awesome!
Very good job
Very good ! I like ! 👍Brasil 🇧🇷
Awesome!
So freakin cute! I'm so doing this!
good idea for my daughter she just started kindergarten thanks for the tutorial
I did the king headboard and it turned out great. How about a dresser video??
I made the stand in your book that is similar to this but using the hairpin legs. On both of my stands the front right leg seems about 1/2 an inch shorter so it wobbles. Any suggestions to fix or prevent that in the future? I used white pine from Lowe’s and laid them out at the store to make sure the boards were level. This was my very first wood working project and your instructions made it so easy.
hello guys from ny you are amazing guys tnx and kissis to your dogy is so beuty
elyeye81 are u drunk?
good job as is all of your videos did you guys make the floor as well I have admired it since i joined and been meaning to ask
very nice proect!!
vraiment tres jolie
Great work!! Thanks for all ur ideas!!!
Can u guys make a radiator cover? Pleasse and tank u
Also, when you pre-drill holes, do you drill a smaller hole than the screw so the screw can grip on it?
lindo amei
Love your guys' tutorials! Can you use any other saws besides a miter saw? Thank you!
Thanks! If you don't have a miter saw most of the home improvement stores will cut the boards to size for you...
I love this project I want to do it but the price of the legs I can just buy a table any alternatives
I like how you show and explain, consider changing your music, though. It is a long video for this type of music which seems better suited for a 1 min video. Keep up the good work!
Everyone loves unsolicited advice.
great and thanks .. time to upgrade to a work bench and may be music :)
Great tutorial. I am a first time builder and have some questions. How many polycrylic coats did you add? Did you sand the paint before adding the polycrilic?
We added two coats once the paint dried. You can add as many as your personal taste likes, the more coats the shinier it gets!
Do you think you could leave the total cost for each project?
I made this one and it was around $70 not including the tools
@@franciscocamarena7572 Is that USD? Good to know. :)
@@handstandjulie yes!
@@handstandjulie you can probably get away with about $50 depending where you get the wood! Good luck :)
@@franciscocamarena7572 is it bad but I might get an ikea tarva as the base and trim the edges and replace the legs. Although I see the legs are the expensive part. I basically want this nightstand with a drawer instead of open due to naughty pets
Well Done! I believe you can speed up and make time-lapse in some sequences.
Ameer Magdy noooooo
So is this cheaper or equal to a store bought night stand because I love it. Concluding we already have a drill??
It depends on what store/type of nightstand. With buying the hairpin legs you should be able to build this for around $60.
Time to build a workbench? I don't know how you can work on the ground all the time! great project anyway
its so easy watching her build something, just saying
Hi, nice project.
-Could i use masonite for the back of this nightstand?
'cause i saw some sheets with white finish on one sided boards.
-The hairpin legs can they be shipped to Canada?
Thank you in advance for your answers 😊
Sure, masonite could work if you're looking for some backing. We've gotten our hairpin legs from Amazon, I'm assuming some of the sellers would be happy to ship to Canada? Here's a link to a bunch of Amazon options: amzn.to/2CoC4gS
The Rehab Life thanks for the link 😃✌
OH YEA WHY CANT I FIND YOUR TV SHOW? WHAT CHANNEL ARE YOU ON AND TIME...THANX
There is always sizes of the lumber🖒🖒
I'm actually interested in leaving the last board off. So it has half the bottom shelf exposed.
Nice build, but I would leave natural wood surface, without paint. Think looks nicer!
Just me :)
Can you please show how to add a drawer?
To clarify it's because I have cats that will enjoy dumping out the contents!
👍💪😍
What type of wood is that ,looks like soft wood
ITS JUNK CHEAP PINE
Total price?
With grain direction of the sides at 90 degrees to the top and bottom this nightstand is not going to last long because of different rate of expansion and contraction of the parts with seasonal humidity changes.
Where can I find hairpin legs?
There's a link in the video description.
What about wood glue?
Да зачем вы видео с производством мебели показываете, сиди и улыбайся я только на это буду приходить смотреть:)
I would like to ask what is the point of wearing safety glasses if you're going to work around power tools in your bare feet? Also why is your channel called The Rehab Life?
Daniel Hamm because safety goggles protect your eyes. Not your feet.
Shelby lol that was magestic. And their channel is called the rehab life because they are by trade house flippers in Minneapolis I believe... so they rehab things.
The barefoot carpenter.
Nice video, but I'd be happier if she was pressing the snooze button on my alarm clock every day!
Beautiful gal, great project so why is she still on the floor? To look down her top? Silly. Build an assembly table. Buy one. Use a couple saw horses just get her off the floor.
Nope, you will have to troll somewhere else. Can't read huh?
Thanks Captain Obvious! LOL
these measurements are wrong??
No, they're not.
I did it with Woodglut.
How about doing the videos in a bikini with stilettos?
Seriously? Don't be that pathetic sicko on the internet.
paw patrol
You really don't have to build anything. Just have her move around in front of the camera is good enough for me. :)
.......that's creepy
How disrespectful. She clearly has a husband & you're going to say that on a public forum? You're beyond creepy & disrespectful.
Changed the usual music.. doesn't suit your vid. Its actually quite annoying
Maybe try turning the volume down if it bothers you. Simple fix.
Jody Bahlk. How did I miss such an obvious solution. You're a genius...
Paul Bennett
I was wondering the same. Glad I could help.
Jody Bahlke yep! Touché
please do never buy a sander!!!!!
the shop how do you do that??
God I love those feet
