    I built two of these yesterday. The only difference from your plans were that I used wood glue and pocket holes to secure the top/bottom pieces together before I secured them to the sides. I didn't want them to start to separate over time. If you do them on the bottom, you will never see them. This is EASILY the one of the most simple and impactful builds I've done for my teenage daughter. She thought I bought them. Says all I need to say about how well they went over.

    I made the stand in your book that is similar to this but using the hairpin legs. On both of my stands the front right leg seems about 1/2 an inch shorter so it wobbles. Any suggestions to fix or prevent that in the future? I used white pine from Lowe’s and laid them out at the store to make sure the boards were level. This was my very first wood working project and your instructions made it so easy.

    • @TheRehabLife

      We added two coats once the paint dried. You can add as many as your personal taste likes, the more coats the shinier it gets!

      @@franciscocamarena7572 is it bad but I might get an ikea tarva as the base and trim the edges and replace the legs. Although I see the legs are the expensive part. I basically want this nightstand with a drawer instead of open due to naughty pets

    • @TheRehabLife

    Hi, nice project.
    -Could i use masonite for the back of this nightstand?
    'cause i saw some sheets with white finish on one sided boards.
    -The hairpin legs can they be shipped to Canada?
    Thank you in advance for your answers 😊

    • @TheRehabLife
      @TheRehabLife  6 лет назад

      Sure, masonite could work if you're looking for some backing. We've gotten our hairpin legs from Amazon, I'm assuming some of the sellers would be happy to ship to Canada? Here's a link to a bunch of Amazon options: amzn.to/2CoC4gS

    With grain direction of the sides at 90 degrees to the top and bottom this nightstand is not going to last long because of different rate of expansion and contraction of the parts with seasonal humidity changes.
