With the holidays coming up, patterns are something that can be incredibly useful - whether you’re selling them, getting gift wrap printed, popping them onto greeting cards and gift tags, or just creating some digital pieces, there are so many fun applications!
This week, I’m sharing 3 tried and true ways to create seamless, repeat patterns all entirely in Procreate! And with our free Pattern Playground pattern tester ( patternplayground.com ), it couldn’t be easier to test them as you go 😉

TECH STUFF + ACCESSORIES I USE
✨ I work on a 5th gen iPad Pro (12.9”, 256GB) with a 2nd gen Apple Pencil using the Procreate app
✨I recommend any iPad listed here for working in Procreate: every-tuesday.com/ipads as they all allow for pressure sensitivity. I only recommend an Apple Pencil because of its reliability compared to other 3rd party styluses
✨I currently use a Paperlike screen protector, as well as their pencil grips: every-tuesday.com/paperlike

I love the 3rd flip one , but really need the steps listed. Is there a written one? I do not understand how to divide the image into quadrants before starting the flipping.

I'm a huge fan of yours and I love this, do you have a tutorial where you show the whole process for the quadrant flip?

Thanks for watching! That one's shown extensively in my course since there are so many variations you can do with it (half drop/half brick, etc.) + it works well with template designs, too :)

Thank you! I don't (yet!), but the process is covered in my patterns course!

Wonderful! Do these patterns work as high resolution designs for printing out as cmyk?

I don’t recommend using CMYK (even for home prints), but as long as you don’t rotate or rescale any elements, all options will work at high res!
