Hey everyone todays video is all about celebrities who lost their homes. These could include celebrities who spent their fortune or maybe it burned to the ground In a natural disaster. Either way, these mansions were a minimum 10,000 square foot and range all the way up to 30,000 square foot mega mansions. Celebrities include, Ed Sheeran, Richard Branson, mc hammer and more.

Hammer had a staff of 200. Many got paid for doing little or nothing. He was foolishly generous. The leeches that took advantage were unworthy. 😮

Money went to their heads and they thought it would last forever. Also, not staying on top of their expenses vs income
A lot of people just don't know how to handle money and many times the Lawyers steal their money.
I cannot understand why, no matter how much money, one would want to spend it on a concrete structure that is large enough to fill an orphanage. If one is blessed with massive wealth, I can’t help but feel that there are so many other ways to spend the money that could help others and themselves. God gave this for a reason because for everything there IS a reason. Don’t squander it on ‘things’ on this 3D planet that means nothing. 🙏❤️

I laugh OUT LOUD , every time I hear..."If I had that money I would help others"...Let me tell you I had a customer say the same thing and DID win big money.....The one thing they said they would do on my behalf...NEVER HAPPENED !!!!!...even though they were very nice people, they never spent it on themselves and left it mostly to their grandson who was their only grandchild. Think not....MONEY CHANGES PEOPLE.

They’re all trying to impress (whom)? Certainly not us regular people. And they spend lots more than they earn. I don’t feel sorry for them.
If I had millions to pay for a house, I would build my own, not any second hand place. Historic properties are certainly in another class.
But, if I had the money, I would have bought a mansion it would be a good one to bet refurbished. I would also have built my own house while renting out the mansion.
If you want to see Ed Sheehan (SP?), You won't find it here - it's clickbait. There are some interesting facts about other celebrities' homes, so it's worth watching. I don't understand why he needed to use the clickbait, since everybody knows the other stars.

California’s property tax is 1.25% of the sales price. If you buy a house for $10M, you’ll pay $125,000 every year for life.
I agree. In in UK and if you buy a home and have paid it in full or the the mortgage in full its yours,, Where's as years back from being young I would see gorgeous looking houses in Florida etc that would be at bargain prices that would only get you a terrace house here but then noticed they all came with huge monthly /annual fees that had to be paid for life and the fees were what you'd make in a month or more if you poor or middle class, so it'd be no cheaper than renting the mansion. They never really own it, absolutely no point forking millions and millions on a house you have to keep paying taxes on etc
@@joevans27 Property taxes are different from state to state. For instance, Texas has no income tax, but higher property taxes. So, During your prime earning years, is a good deal. Not so much for retirees. Other states have reasonable property taxes. In California, since your property taxes are based on the purchase price, having a 30 year old home is a good deal. My neighbor has a newly built home. $1.2M. $14,000 in taxes. Our neighbors with 30 year old homes? $2,000. Our state is unique with this setup. Most states Property taxes are based on assessed value.

Never build or buy a mansion unless you plan on spending $2+ million on property taxes/every single year and around 1 million in upkeep every single year. No breaks in the cashflow. Mansions are extremely expensive. You'd be better off buying several smaller properties to vacation in/work in.

I think it’s relevant to say how big a mansion you are talking about. I think suggesting that it’s going to cost you almost $100K/month on just upkeep (taxes not included as you say)…is almost impossible to imagine. Where would $100K be spent? Let’s say it costs $5K / month to insure. Let’s say it costs $10K/month for 2 gardeners. Let’s say it costs $6K/month In electricity for AC or heating. Add another $5K month for structural upkeep ( replacing locks..fixing stairs and windows etc.). That comes out to a rich $25K…now if you are talking about 40-50 room estates…well that’s another story.

These people have millions in funds available, but never purchase a home outright. They always take mortgages for homes that rely on fulfilled contracts, which most of them cannot satisfy, because they end up washing-out or becoming less popular. That, and literally all their homes are ugly.
