hey everyone todays video is all about the biggest a list celebrities who are all trying to sell their mansions but are having a very tough time off loading their property. These homes are all in the news for being listed as for sale for many years. Celebrities like Jim Carrey, Taylor swift, brad Pitt, Michael b Jordan, Bradley Cooper and more are all either taking massive losses on their homes or currently still trying to get rid of them. A lot of these homes are at least 10,000 square foot and have a very different feel to them. Its known celebrities have very over the top styles of homes / mansions and this video proves that and is probably one of the reasons they can't sell the mansions.

For a time we had an almost 5000 sqf home that was three stories for two adults and two kids. At times I would find myself walking into rooms just to make sure they still existed. The cleaning was a nightmare. Bathrooms and bedrooms that don’t get used just filled with dust. Pipes and ducts go bad if not used regularly. It was all just pointless. We sold for twice what we paid for it to a single couple and now live in a well used much smaller home with a lot of land instead.

My grandpa use to said, if you can't plant in the land or sell in it, then it's worthless. Bought a farm after 8 years of working and selling veggies, eggs, milk, cheese from it. Work is like 2 hours a day you just have to work smart, use a hose and a hoe to water and to dig and turn veggies to fertilizers.
Smart move.
I live in much smaller place than I can afford and am very happy with my choice.
@@im1who84u yea. We work the land and grow things. Have chickens. Potatoes, veggies, lettuce and are trying corn this year. Not very well so far 😅 The house is tiny in comparison and tight and “well used” but we are so much happier. Life changes. Priorities change.

@@Arthurian. it’s not a matter of my financial status. It simply makes no sense to have a house bigger than you can live in. That being said, my house is fully paid for because I don’t try to live beyond my means.

@@Arthurian. People in the entertainment industry make money easily and spend money easily. The problem is that their income is not stable. But the expenses and expenditures to maintain a luxury house will increase and not decrease.
The property taxes and upkeep are eating their asses alive probably. If it's the home you love, then why sell it.

All these properties must require a small fortune in maintenance and upkeep! They all seem way overpriced!
I think probably just paying for cleaning the home would be more costly than many of us earn in a year.

But they are losing from agents and managers fees (10/15+%), lawyer, pr, etc fees (percentages), then taxes. I did a breakdown back in the early 90s when BBS was still kicking, and even though they may be pulling in (let's say) 20million+20% gross on a flick, they sure as hell aren't walking away with anywhere near that amount, nor on any other 'stream'.

Yeah the corrupt leaders in the state are turning it into a shit hole. Also if you leave you have to pay for that luxury to move to another state. I'm not sure if the leaving tax has taken place yet but it's a ridiculous tax. California has seen the biggest loss in population in recent years. Hundreds of thousands are leaving that shit hole. I didn't find a listing that fully meets my needs. Some lack a formal guesthouse for a live-in maid, others just don't offer an Olympic size pool for myself and an extensive English garden desired by my wife. I guess I'll just have to stay in my roach infested basement room in the ghetto until a desired property becomes available.

In my 20s, in the 80s, I lived in Paris, in a garret (in a chambre de bonne). I had an Italian boyfriend who cooked for me in a tiny 'closet with a skylight' on a camping stove. He produced THE MOST AMAZING FOOD. The first time he cooked for me, I asked him to marry me. .... NOTHING to do with the kitchen. (He now has a restaurant in Köln).
Again... there is no such thing as a 'gourmet kitchen'. That's simply MARKETING.

While they don't have state income taxes, Red states typically have equivalent or higher property tax rates. Also, other taxes are higher a well.
The difference gets made up elsewhere.
Also public infrastructure is less in red states. U get what u pay for, or in this case u don't get as much.
Other fun tidbits; red states have higher welfare payouts and receives more in federal aid.

My wife and I used to own a small 3 bedroom farm house on 2 hectares, sold it and built a home closer to her family and it was a 3 bedroom house but much much larger than the farm house, compares nothing to these houses but even then my wife felt the house is too big to maintain. So we are trying to sell it and rebuild a more modest home.
Opulence is great only at first glance. I would never build anything near these houses. I don't like mansions

Nah man! No thank you! I’m living in a tiny little apt, fairly cheap and no taxes for me to pay on it. There is a pool here AND it only takes about 30 minutes to clean and I’m done. I don’t live in Cali either. That state is a disaster.

Instead, they are selling these expensive homes in California and moving to my town here in Vegas. We have never had more million dollar homes than we do now. And because of these kinds of people coming here with money these idiots that already live here in Vegas are jacking up their prices to over $1 million for homes that aren’t even worth it. In bad neighborhoods and these people are coming from California or even back east where the property taxes are high. Don’t know that these are bad areas because the real estate agents don’t tell them and they buy these homes and pay hundreds of thousands of dollars over what they’re actually worth. It’s disheartening this is never ever happened to Vegas as long as I can remember. Forget being a middle-class person here in this town you’re not going to be able to afford shit.
