When it comes to deep conditioning, I would recommend using natural ingredients like eggs,avocado, coconut oil, castor oil or any other oil,it help with protein treatment and avoiding unnecessary chemicals in to your hair, I've seen mad hair growth since I started using natural methods to deep condition
Use deep conditioner for moisture and use oils to lock in the moisture so it wont leave ur hair and also do protective styles . Sleep with Satin Bonnet or pillowcase
What about coating the hair with conditioner before shampooing the scalp? My hair is mohawked, 1.5 inches at the top n shorter at the back so it's hard to keep shampoo off the hair and conditioner off the scalp. What do you advise for those with shorter hair at the moment?! 😊
Hey kozact. would you recommend someone to restart their hair if their ends are like WAY too damaged or just so fragile that they can potentially fall just from pulling?
I would usually suggest a trim to trim off all of the damaged ends. But if it’s an extreme damage like heat damage or chemical damage that’s beyond repair, then Id suggest restarting

I’d say it’s healthy to give your hair around a full week or two. So 7-14 before braiding again. Just to allow your hair time to breathe and return back to its normal curl pattern

You would apply it after, some curl creams can also just be used as a leave in conditioner.
