bro got a question, can you maybe upload a video on stages of afro hair growth and what to do on those stages. Like for stage one you get a fresh cut and your hair is low (not fully bald), how do you take care of that? Do you brush it out? Appreciate if you would do a video on this.
I cut off half my hair because the sponge was sorta damaging it because of the extra work it puts on hair I switch to bow wow twist and it works like the sponge but better would suggest only to use the sponge after washing hair but lightly but everyone is different you are right about the sponge tho
I can also testify that using sponge is terrible, especially at the stage where your hair has grown a few inches. Using it much earlier on in the hair journey I don’t see much of an issue with though
i stopped sponging bc my hair would go from feeling soft and moisturized to feeling really dry. i didn’t really notice a lot of hair getting caught in my sponge but i don’t doubt it was doing damage. especially considering how dry it made my hair feel
@@mco_jont i always apply water before moisturizing. normally i can go a few days without moisturizing and i’ll add more water b4 i pick it out or whatever
I recommend for people to not use sponges at all but if you insist don’t use it often and I’m telling you to save you hair damage in the long run🤷🏽♂️ after I stopped doing my Freeform dreads which I had 4 different times I noticed my hair was damaged as hell from all the years of sponging so I started getting 2 strand twist and stopped picking my hair so often and my shits healthy now (key to hair growth is as little manipulation as possible, keep ya shit moisturized, drink water, and wear a durag it’s that simple update(9/23/24) still doing two strands my hair touching my shoulders now and I wear bonnets cus my shit to long for durags now im telling u niggas listen🕺🏽
Yeah, once a week or once every two weeks is completely fine , just make sure to add moisture back into your hair after washing, so be sure to condition your hair 🙌🏾
It's crazy because the sponge actually grows my hair😂. I just don't apply so much pressure when I'm sponging, and I keep my hair with leave in with some oil
I don’t fully agree with the sponge theory because my hairs definitely growing from the twists. I don’t agree with using it constantly my hair is very moisturized and thick don’t sponge dry hair because yes then it will tear and after it gets a certain length then I do believe that you should stop using it
It's been 4 months if U count January and I already have a mini afro. I was wandering if I should start braiding now or should I let it grow a bit longer❤️
Nobody wants to wait this long but I always say wait at least 1 year. But if you can't wait that long then 8 months. It depends how fast your hair grows really, you want at least 4 inches of hair before you start braids or twist. On average it takes 8 months to grow 4 inches.
Start now four months is a good amount of length of you blow dry your hair it will be longer and leave it in cornrows for a month and repeat the process every month and make sure to use the LOC METHOD OR LCO METHOD whichever one works
I really love wathcing kozact he makes me laugh and he helps me to grow my hair im 10 years old and I really want braids and if you are seeing this kozact is Cantu hair products good?
I’d still say every other day, the key is going to be spending time, massaging the oil into your scalp to stimulate blood flow which helps to stimulate growth
Thank you for these great tips. I have locs which I have had for 25 years. I only use color in my hair once a year. In fact, I haven't done it in 2 years. Is that okay. Also, what do you think about brushing locs. Thanks. Have a Blessed Saturday.

Sometimes our hair texture can be different in certain areas so the reason that your hair is thin in the front could mainly be due to genetics , but on the bright side, there’s definitely a few things you can do about it you can apply a Hair oil and massage it in to stimulate hair growth, you want to focus on mainly applying it to the front of your hair and spending time massaging it every other day for about 5 - 10 minutes each day You can also apply a Hair Growth activator and use a micro needling tool to also help stimulate hair growth Using oils like rosemary, oil is going to be great for stimulating hair growth
