Combat Mission, Kampfgruppe Peiper, Battle 1 (Die Spitze)

The first battle in the Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg campaign Kampfgruppe Peiper. December 1944, in a last ditch attempt to stem the Allied thrust towards Germany a counter offensive is launched.
This is a semi historical campaign following Kampfgruppe Peiper under command of ‎SS-Standartenführer‎ Joachim Peiper from the 17th to the 19th of December.
Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg is one of a series of realistic tactical combat simulations from www.battlefront.com. A wide variety of setting area available from world war 2 (Normandy, Market Garden, Sicily, Italy and the Eastern Front) to modern day fictional conflicts in Syria (Shock Force) and Ukraine (Black Sea)

Thanks for re-loading, it will come in handy if I want to binge watch the whole series at a later date. At the moment I'm trying The Forger's 4-hour Peiper mini campaign which covers some of the same ground.

@@karls2812 Sadly, you do not seem to have sight, second or otherwise. Double used the word "Re-upload" in the video description, and I then thanked him for "re-loading" at the top of the comments . Not to worry, just sit back and wait for Part 2.

Great video. Ive not played this campaign beyond the first couple of turns of this first scenario. Is it worth playing?

I know I'm a bit late for this thread but being new to CM .. this is good game play. Can someone tell me if this is being played as turn-based or RTS?? I've been playing TB but sometimes I'm frustrated by my reaction time and now I'm going back and playing the basic training as RTS. Any comments would be appreciated.

Great video and an intriguing start of what looks to be an interesting campaign. I suspect the lack of infantry support will be an ongoing problem. It will be interesting to see how you adjust if necessary to conserve that low resource.

I'm concerned that you aren't picking up your casualties.
I believe in CM any wounded that isn't buddy aided is killed.
You're also losing out on whatever weapons they may have been carrying.

Hi David, I actually do quite a lot of buddy aid. It wasn't really shown in this video but if you look at some of the videos in Operation Epsom you'll hopefully spot it. with late German forces it's very helpful with the MP44 etc.

@@MrSirDouble Alright, I just saw that at the end of the first mission there seemed to be a lot of pixeltruppen laying on the ground when you ceasefired.
