Konrad basically killed himself. He had precognition, which he used to justify all the horrific shift he did. He could see that he was about to be assassinated. Rather than fight back, he accepted his death, as if he fought back it would validate the theory that his visions were not set in stone and thus didn’t justify any of the horrifying atrocities he committed. He would rather die than admit he was wrong and apologize, and in many ways, he was more like his father than most realize.
It's worth remembering that Emperor had a deal with the Chaos Gods in order to create the Primarchs, and scattering is partially due to Emperor breaking said deal.
According to corrupted and deceived Horus and the chaos gods themselves, who may or may not have tried to make the emperor (or Horus) part of their pantheon. I.E. the dark king “theory”. (The dark king in recent Horus heresy books, not the short story)

Some glossed over but important details about Alpharius Omegon is he/they was the smallest of the Primarchs, barely any taller than a standard astartes, and would often wear normal marine armor to hide among their numbers. Their gene seed was also such that Alpha Legion marines often resembled their Primarch almost exactly, looking, sounding, and moving almost exactly like their gene father. Confounding matters further, one if their war cries is "I am Alpharius," all combined makes it nigh impossible to tell if any single one of them is the real Alpharius
Alpharius (or Omegon) was actually the first to be found. The Emperor kept him a secret for years and only Malcador and Constantin Valdor knew about him. Funnily, Valdor only found out about him after Alpharius (or Omegon) enacted a fake assassination attempt on the Emperor to test the Custodes effectiveness and was only caught at the very last second by Valdor himself.

@@metabladesarchive ah yes because W/L record is the only indicator. And no, he was a petulant manchild who refuses to admit fault by shitting on others to make himself feel better. Cable brained discount Mechanicum Angron looking ass.
Alpharius was the first Primarch found. He landed on Terra and was trained by Malcador. He was there when Horus and most of the other Primarchs were found. At the end of the crusade, Omegon was found by Alpharius and decided to setup the meeting of Horus and Omegon, who was pretending to be Alpharius. Alpharius and Omegon switched places, and it is well thought that Omegon actually is the one who died. Thats if you believe the story, of course. :)
Of all the Chaos Primarchs I think Mortarion deserves a chance at redemption. By all rights he was the only Primarch who was tricked and trapped into joining Chaos and in doing so became the very things he hated and despised the most. He hated the Emperor and empire but for far more reasonable reasons than pettiness and not getting daddy's attention like the others. If anything he cared about the people of the planets he conquered probably as much as Vulkan did while the other Primarchs only cared about the planets' resources and what the empire could take from them. He was a liberator and a chain breaker, he only ever wanted to save people from bondage while the empire simply desired to replace their chains with golden shackles. It's the height of irony that a liberator as caring as Mortarion would become an enslaver and conqueror that would've made his adoptive father absolutely proud...
48:06 What leads me to believe it was an Imperial Gaurd and not a Space Marine is the fact that Horus "flayed him alive with a look." This would kill a Gaurdsman horribly. But as far as Space Marines go, this wouldn't even faze an Imperial Fist who does time in the Pain Glove for the lulz.
When you start doing lore videos on individual characters, may I suggest Ephrael Stern? She's the one big character that none of the major 40k lore channels haven't talked about yet.

Blue Boy was the most stable primarch as only he had a parent who truly loved him (Mommy's Boy) Rogal Dorn was as emotional as a rock, but even he had a grand dad who adored him. Horus also grew up with daddy E and so was one of the best primarch's, just someone who got fked over by male pattern Baldness. Omegon also grew up with daddy E and so also remained chill despite being super weird. Red One Eye was also quite stable as he and big E talked using big Brain energy, but man his curiosity and big Brain energy attitude fked him up. Lion acted autistic as he had no daddy (Except Luthor but Luthor definitely didn't attend any parent-teacher meetings so he doesn't count) Morty boy was a autistic hypocrite as he had a alien daddy who wanted to kill him. Ferrus was virtually parent less (Necron living metal doesn't count as a parent) Pretty boy fulgrim grew up amoung slaves who loved him but man he had to pick up a phallic looking sword 😢 Speedy Mongolian Khan also grew up parent less but grew up to be a sigma so he turned out fine.

Just a tiny correction, but Magnus does not currently reign over Prospero. When he was dying at the end of the Burning of Prospero, he used the Warp to transport all the surviving Thousand Sons to the "Planet of the Sorcerors" a planet located within the Eye of Terror. And it is here that he reigns over his mad court. Great video, you covered a lot of ground in a short amount of time. Excited to see you dig into more of the subjects, like the Ynnari!
There is one error I spotted: At 51:30 you mention that the Emperor told the Ultramarines to destroy Lorgar's Project on a planet named Monarchia. Monarchia isn't the name of the planet, it is the name of Lorgar's Project (which was the capital city of a planet named Khur dedicated as a shrine to the emperor). 40k fans also usually call Jaghatai Khan either "Jaghatai" or just "the Khan". Other than that, great video TES!

Although I have an SCP tattoo (half thanks to your delivery of the articles and tales)…I also love 40k, and am SO excited for your venture into this expansive universe. Do not suede TES…the fans will remain for you more than what you cover.
The 2 "lost" primarchs were make your own character ones originally. Because of this, they can't really fit them into the lore in any way, so they just "lost" them.
The prevailing headcannon in the community is that Sanguinius was actually the one to kill Horus. The Emperor had to then slay Sanguinius because he had gone completely berserk and his mind was broken over the trauma of having to kill his brother.
Holy shit!!!! I used to watch hundred of hours of TES SCP videos and I just realized he does 40K vids too! I just rekindled my love for 40K and I am soooooooo excited to listen to hours and hours of TES vids again!
I enjoy your content so much for not just your narration, but your explanations and break down. This Overview would have been so much word salad if I weren't already familiar with the setting.
Just to be clear, it is almost certain that Alpharius and Omegon were NOT both traitors. In fact, the Alpha legion is almost perfectly split between traitors and loyalists. Additionally, Alpharius did indeed die to Rogal Dorn, as Omegon is shown in the book realizing it happened as it happened. Sure, you can say that it was “Alpharius” dying and “Omegon” realizing the death, but since we have no way of knowing which is which, we must go with what we have. There are still Alpha Legion Astartes in the Imperial Palace, in stasis, under Custodes control. What I suspect is that Alpharius and Omegon split (or believed they must split) allegiances to further the cause of the Imperium. Remember, the Great Crusade was to advance the Emperor’s dream, a dream of humanity safe and advanced, not the Emperor’s Imperium, but that of baseline humans. This was the original fear of Horus, that the Primarchs were to cast aside instead of being the leaders of humanity. In this way, Chaos was the great threat. Removing Chaos meant making sure Horus won (the reasons for this are far too large to explain now) and ergo the Alpha legion was taking on their characteristic double agent and manipulation tactics in covert support of the cause. There is evidence to support the idea that Alpha Legion still operates in the name of the Emperor. Primarily because the Alpha Legion in stasis can be given a code phrase that makes them loyal to the Emperor, or to Alpharius, or even… to Horus. Now that is a very odd circumstance for the Emperor to make the Legion have, isn’t it?

YESSS!!! I enjoy the SCP content but I love to see you branching out! Especially if it means more Warhammer content!
Yay🎉
The Exploring Series doing Warhammer 40K genuinely makes me happy. 🥳
Yes Sir 🙏
I know right? I hope we get some creepy inquisition stuff from him
Konrad basically killed himself.
What was the deal?
depending on what version of the creation of the primarchs you go with.
Lmao, my sweet boy... In the grim darkness of the far future there is no canon.
According to corrupted and deceived Horus and the chaos gods themselves, who may or may not have tried to make the emperor (or Horus) part of their pantheon. I.E. the dark king “theory”. (The dark king in recent Horus heresy books, not the short story)
The Emperor never made a deal with the Chaos Gods but rather the Warp itself.
*OH BOY! IT’S 3AM!! PRAISE THE EMPEROR!!!*
I see this exact comment in almost every one of his videos and it's always my favorite comment
@@chegg3391 yea he's been doing it for years now, gotta applaud the dedication
Lmao right?! Now it's 4am!!
@@dustinsterling3248 i mean atleast we can band togethrr
Praise the Throne 🎉
Hydra Dominatus! For the Emperor! Also the Head of the Hydra shows that alpharius was actually the first found.
It's a secret
Never been so happy to learn about the primarchs for the 20th times. You got me into 40K, glad to see you back.
Oh boy oh boy. I'm gonna listen when it's time to wind down from the day. Thank you kind sir.
Just a short video this week to get us back into 40k
Your original 40k videos got me into the lore and after I listened to yours 1000 times I found Luetin who reminded me very much of your style. So happy you’ve come back to 40k, keep up the fantastic work!
Hubby starred playing Space Marine 2 and showed me some of it and explained a little of it to me and now I’m hooked😂. I love that I can watch an 8 minute overview, a 1 hour overview or a 5 hour overview. Warhammer has everything
Perturabo,Mortarion and Lorgar are great examples of how Big E is a huge double standard.
So Alpharius might as well just be any Alpha Legion Astartes.
Oh thanks for this video, this is amazing, I enjoy quick "all of warhammer in X minutes" but hour+ lenght videos about warhammer are just the best, keep up the good work man!
i love your channel. It's been one of my favorites for at least 2 years now. I saw your video talking about your switch from mainly scp to warhammer content (of course its open ended and you can always decide to do more of whatever whenever something interests you). Just wanted to say thank you for making content for us. I love lore and you do all of it justice.
This was a great listen. I've always enjoyed how you're able to distill stories down and present them all with an air of authority, making the silly or over-the-top seem academic. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of the 40k universe through your lens
Just wanted to say that while I found the channel because of SCP, I could absolutely listen to you explore any topic that interests you - just as I have with all of your SCP content. I'll definitely be sticking around no matter which direction you choose to follow.
If he chooses to continue with 40k you're in a hell of a ride.
Rogal Dorn did not only kill alpharius, he mortal kombat style murderd him. The true chad that he was rogal is one of the best fighters of the primarchs in my opinion, beating fulgrim as well.
I was initially nervous about this change to the channel, but I LOVE this. This lore is awesome, please keep making more of these!
Try baldemorth my friend and after you're ready for luetin09.
Loregar's favorite proverb: "It's always darkest in the last 12 hours before the dawn".
Even though I don't know much about 40K lore, Vulcan and The Salamanders have always been my favorites because of how theyre basically one of the very few truly Heroic Factions in the 40K universe
Well of course, Vulkan is the only primarch that could be played by a black man, so they obviously can't portray him as a flawed human being with character defects that make him imperfect, dat wud b raycis
Not like they have an entire galaxy of individuals to chose from right? Its close to hilarious how yall with fringe views can make everything unrelated about your dumb fringe views @@quicksilvertongue3248
I love that you're doing 40k. I also loved your long readings of Lovecraft. You do what you want with your channel, I'll be here to listen. Great video.
Been a big fan of your content for a while I’ve listened to just about all your vids while working. After I moved on from Scp content I started learning about 40k lore and I just gotta say I’m very happy you started covering it keep up the great work and your dnd content was amazing too!
Yes Erda, Sending the Primarch babies to Hell to save them from their fates was a great decision.
Women, am I right?
The 2nd Primarch is actually the Doom Slayer, hence why he remains lost to this day
Sees the subject: 😮
Sees the content creator: 😁
Sees the video length: 😍
Precisely.
Two of my favorite things, Warhammer and The Exploring Series. Thanks for the hard work dude!
My boys Jaghatai, Konrad Curze, and Perturabo getting the respect they deserve!!!
Nice to see you branching into Warhammer 40k. Love your SCP vids so I know you will do great work with 40K.
Perturabo deserves no respect.
@@alastor8091 I beg to differ my friend. Perturabo has the cleanest win/loss record of all the Primarchs. Completely out witted Royal in both the siege of Terra and the Iron cage. Is one of the few traitors to actually regret his actions before and after the heresy. Came to terms with his ego and flaws and realized he caused all of his problems.
He is a top 5 Primarch if there ever was one.
@@metabladesarchive i see. Respect for battle prowess, sure, but respect as a Primarch, person, and son, definitely not. We'll have to see if he can redeem himself fully, but as of now he's down there with Mortarion for me.
@@alastor8091 Oh I agree, Perturabo was a petulant man child for most of the Heresy. Completely ignoring his true purpose and his father's love and respect for him. But, outside of Curze and Angron, he is the only Primarch with a legit reason to have turned traitor. Big E should have taken both him and Dorn to Terra.
Damn
Love that you chose that photo. It's such a perfect photo of the loyalists in grand form.
Well Papa Nurgle is a loving father to him now....
I listened already on Spotify. Letting this play while I cook, liking and commenting to support the new 40k content.
*"In the end, I will be there. For the final battle. For the Wolftime."*

Then the wolftime comes and goes and the Lord of winter and war didn't appear
I literally can’t believe how lucky I am for my favourite creator ever to cover my favourite lore universe… AGAIN! Luetin has got competition
When you start doing lore videos on individual characters, may I suggest Ephrael Stern? She's the one big character that none of the major 40k lore channels haven't talked about yet.
I'm glad you've been leaning back in to your roots and exploring (heh) more than just SCP content. You're one of my favorite SCP creators, don't get me wrong, but your style and voice are too good to be stuck on any one subject alone.
I binge-watched your 40K playlist after you said you were making more 40K lore vids, I was hooked, now the time for more lore has come!
If He didn't recommend the siege of vark. Make sure you listen that too think it's arch warhsmmer the name of the channel it's freaking awesome. It's like 46 hour long episodes. This one battle on one planet.
I'm actually grateful my other favorite sci-fi universes were desecrated. Let me discover 40K which is honestly the best by far
Nice! The artwork of 40K is beautiful and full of colourful motion. Enjoying the lore is a brilliant way to spend a wee bit of time....... Thanks!
BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD, SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!!!!
Glory for the Dark Prince!
LOAD UP DAH DAKKA!
You have no idea how excited I am for this new series
Awesome seeing you cover Warhammer again. Looking forward to more!
Blue Boy was the most stable primarch as only he had a parent who truly loved him (Mommy's Boy)
Rogal Dorn was as emotional as a rock, but even he had a grand dad who adored him.
Lion acted autistic as he had no daddy (Except Luthor but Luthor definitely didn't attend any parent-teacher meetings so he doesn't count)
Morty boy was a autistic hypocrite as he had a alien daddy who wanted to kill him.
Ferrus was virtually parent less (Necron living metal doesn't count as a parent)
Pretty boy fulgrim grew up amoung slaves who loved him but man he had to pick up a phallic looking sword 😢
Speedy Mongolian Khan also grew up parent less but grew up to be a sigma so he turned out fine.
As expected, you bring a great touch to the telling of the lore, amazing job as always
Yess love your channel, so seeing you expand into all the stuff in warhammer is just the cherry on top
Thank you for covering Warhammer 40k, can't wait to see what you cover next in the grim dark universe.
I’ve already commented this but I was just sitting here building my new Dark Angels Deathwing Knights anticipating my Lion to get here and BOOM! I find out TES does 40K content now! Sooooo stoked to listen to this as well as my favorite SCP articles!
I somewhat wish there was a primarch who didn’t join either chaos or the imperium, but mechanicus. I wonder how that design would look.
Maybe even a primarch who made a secessionist empire from the Imperium, or allied with xenos.
Yo pajamamapants jack
The Primarchs are warp entities/demigods loyal/drawn to the Emperor. On top of that, Mars was independent-not a chance.
Probably would've been Ferrus Manus considering his whole "flesh is weak" thing
@@havnoch he didn't believe that the flesh was weak, that was a part of the practices of his legion trying to emulate their father by removing their hands to mimic his own necrodermis arms. He wanted to stop his son's form doing such things and seeing being human as being weak, but he was killed before that would ever happen and the Iron Hands chapter now believe in the weakness of the flesh fervently.
My friend there was two thing I was found of on RUclips and it was you and warhammer 40k. And now when I came aware of this very relevation I couldn't be more delighted indeed. Cheers and god bless you my long friend.
I loved this. I feel blessed by the emperor.
I've been binging 40k content for a year now. Glad to see you've jumped in the train.
LOVE your SCP stuff (please, please continue with that) but haven’t really learned any of the Warhammer lore. Giving it a shot now!
My God Emperor someone Finnaly did it. THANK YOU. I got into 40k for the lore and universe building, but this, THIS! Is the level of complete and comprehensive I've not found anywhere else. Thank you
You don't know how long I've been waiting for this! So much lore, so little time.
He’s doing WH40k content again! The Emperor protects!
19:06 Rogal Dorn didn’t just reactivate any old fortress-monastery. He rebuilt a straight piece of archeotech from the Dark Age of Technology.
ive been getting into warhammer, and youve been a real help in learning the lore! thank you for what you do!!!
Stayed up just to sleep!
So, normally I pass on 40k videos covering content I already know. But by She Who Thirsts, I love your voice overs so much I'd listen to you read the phonebook. 10/10 fucking fantastic vid
Excited to see you dig into more of the subjects, like the Ynnari!
love that youre doing warhammer now, my favorite lore guy covering my favourite universe
So excited to have you start up on Warhammer 40K again.
You disappeared from my sub box for like a year and I just got into warhammer and now you’ve reappeared. Thank the god emperor
FUCK YEAH 1 HOUR VIDEO ON THR PRIMARCHS
An excellent video - I learned more from it about the individual Primarchs than from any other channel. Good job.
I loved your stuff you did on 40k before. I'm really excited for you to really get in the trenches with it!
I've always wanted to do something with Warhammer, so im pretty excited about this series.
No one does Warhammer lore better than 'the exploring series' love you dogg
I can’t explain how excited I am for 40K lore🔥🔥🔥
I dont know how many times I have watched this. One of my fav vids from you sorry the 40k stuff not working out its good
There is one error I spotted: At 51:30 you mention that the Emperor told the Ultramarines to destroy Lorgar's Project on a planet named Monarchia.
Nice content, just recently got into 40K and these videos help a lot with having a general idea what it's all about
HAIL TO THE HIVE.
I love The Tyrinnids they are my fav Faction in Warhammer 40k i hope you make a Video on them one day.
Respect and keep up the epic work.
I'm so glad you are pickin this back up! It's been years!
Wait so my favourite lore channel is doing Warhammer now? I've always wanted to get into it but it always seemed so daunting until now
He made a video about this 2 weeks ago.

So close to 1M TES! Been listening for years at this point, and not going anywhere.
Really enjoying your 40k Videos right now, this alone has peaked my interest in this franchise again so keep going this be just as good as scp man
The prevailing headcannon in the community is that Sanguinius was actually the one to kill Horus.
1:28. - Hello. I'm from the local friendly Inquisition office. Here to inform you that there were only 9 Primarchs.
I never thought I'd be hooked into the SCP universe until this channel introduced me to it. This is going to be another rabbit hole, I guess. XD
Several vids and a couple books, Rob and Al are my 2 favs.
Truly hope this return to other exploring videos outside scp works out cause I love them.
I enjoy your content so much for not just your narration, but your explanations and break down. This Overview would have been so much word salad if I weren't already familiar with the setting.
Oh these come out at 1:00 my time. This is dangerous information to now have.
As much as I love scp, it’s amazing you are being back the 40k content!
Heyy glad you decided to go back to 40K after all these years!
