  • Hey good people! Here's a "one chance" playthrough I did of the song Illuminate after a full day of recording some session material. A song based on a drum groove I came up with - always fun to play! Let me know your thoughts.
Recorded in Urban Sound Studios by Thomas Wang.

Imagine if they actually played something from Bilateral live... Stellar drummer but people forgot Tobias who is also a god-tier drummer. Also, for those of you that don't know, check out In Vain's "Currents" because Baard drums on it and only then will you get why he is truly among the modern greats.

Just zapped through the album and found the drums rather default and boring compared to Baard's Leprous grooves and virtuosity in general!

Re-inventing drumming ! Such a bless you post your playthrough(s), Baard. At last, we can appreciate the sickness of it all. Frankly, what is the matter with lighting on live shows ??? Most of the time, the audience can't see anything of the beauty of your so specific and thrilling way of torturing drums !!! Been on several LEPROUS 2018 concerts and each time, same punishment : you are out of range of light, way behind in the dark. Frustrating, that's for sure. It's a shame cos' it's so fascinating to watch... catchy, hypnotic and always surprising. This one is absolute mind blowing. !!!!
