We bought a home without a hoa. That day my new neighbor comes over with hoa rules for our street. I opened the binder and every page was blank. Good friends since.
I once had a neighbor who wanted to start a "neighborhood association". I told him I'd be happy to come to the meeting... to argue AGAINST IT. You should have seen his face fall. No meeting ever took place. Strangely enough, he moved not long afterwards.

thats...mostly true, it depends on a lot of things, because sometimes i believe HOAs might own the houses and your more or less renting? dont quote me on that, i just cant think in what sense HOAs have power otherwise @@sarahrigdon7311

1st story. I knocked on my neighbours door and when she answered......... dumped 2 weeks of dog CRAP on her carpet.
Customer service story: I have never seen the point of being deliberately rude to customer service people doing their jobs and attempting to help me. They have to follow company rules and policies, as well as follow the applicable laws for that country/state/city. While they MAY have some latitude, the best way to get them to do the absolute minimum they're required to do is to be rude to them. And that will usually wind up with the transaction taking much more time than actually needed as well. Everyone loses. Good grief!
Sunscreen story: I LIKE that DM! There have been times I've had to break large bills for relatively small purchases. I've always been pleasant and semi-apologized when I've had to do this. And never fussed when they were forced to have the office bring out change because of it. I'm aware many stores try to keep minimal cash in their drawers to prevent excess losses in case of robbery. But why make your own day harder to ruin someone else's?
HOA story: I'm honestly surprised the actual HOA members didn't raise any kind of fuss to get this work done. The whole idea behind an HOA is to keep property values UP. While some mess can be overlooked during construction periods, nothing actually getting done cannot be.
Cashier should have said, "I was having a good day before you came in here, too." 🤣
Technically I agree. But that most likely would have been stepping over a line.

Well the dog owners should pick up their dogs mess,no one else.
First story an actual dog park is unlikely to put up with aggressive dogs or owners that won't pick up after themselves. There is every possibility Luna had been fined and or banned from the dog park
Second story at least in the US the courts have up held calling people names is perfectly legal maybe not recommended but still legal
Why is it that when most people get a LITTLE power, it all goes to their heads?
I figured it out from watching Peppa Pig when she was at play group. Every single kid wanted to grow up and have a job where they get to tell people what to do. The adults that are still like that are just little animals who never grew up mentally. Also, they derive pleasure from feeling like they're superior to others because they have a toxic mindset.
To my knowledge, I have never been to a store that has a policy that disabled people are served before able-bodied people. OP mentioned something about a space issue being the reasoning behind this, so I am guessing the inside of the store is extremely crowded. I'm just not sure how to feel about the policy of serving disabled folks first.
If they are in a wheelchair or mobility scooter, they are sitting and potentially more capable of waiting a long time than a able-bodied person that has issues with standing for long periods. If the disabled person is on crutches or uses a walker, most people (through simple human courtesy and decency) offer to let them go first, so it seems disabled people really don't NEED to be able to cut the line to the front of the queue because they're disabled.
I hope I don't sound like an ass...I have sympathy for anyone disabled or handicapped in any way and would gladly give up a bus or subway seat to a disable person. I would also gladly let them cut the line in front of me to speed their experience in line. However, it just seems a bit odd that they automatically get to cut the line for no reason except they display a disability.
Never in my life did I ever think I would understand/potentially agree with an Entitled Person/Karen, but I think I have to (at least partially) take the three Angry Ladies' point of view this time.
For story four I would have said I was having a good day to until you walked in.
How is calling someone cow illegal in the UK!

Dogs running free in your yard DO NOT LIKE paintball devices. They carry the pigment back to home and it irritates the neighbor. They call police and you have paint splashes in your yard that proves unleashed animals. YOU press charges, then set up very visible traps to catch and deliver loose animals to SPCA / Pound, etc. AND build a fence
Good Strong Fences make good neighbours.
