  • In the late 90's and early 2000 world rugby was blessed with some of the best scrumhalves to ever play the game. Australia had George Gregan, The Springboks had Joost van der Westhuizen, Wales had Rob Howley, England had Matt Dawson, France had Fabien Galthie and the All Black had Justin Marshall.
    Marshall was a brilliant player who could combine the strong All Black pack with their lethal backs. He could snipe around the fringes, had good kicking game and read the game very well. All in all, he was a brilliant player and in our opinion, the greatest All Black scrumhalf of all time.
    Enjoy and thanks for watching!

      1. Fourie du Preez/Joost
      2. Joost/Fourie du Preez
      3. Aaron Smith
      4. Antoine Du Point
      5. George Gregan
      Justin Marshall not even in my top 5, was extremely slow at delivery. Perhaps part of all time greats, but not the top of them.

    Feels a bit weird listening to Nisbo commentate on Marshy... Also needed to include "Me oh my..." and the countless boomfa's.
    On a side note, when you say "in our opinion", do you mean you have more than one person involved with the channel?

    Doesn’t have the best pass.
    Not the quickest. Not the biggest.
    Doesn’t have any kicking game.
    But my god he’ll 100% be there for you when it matters most. Deffo top 3 half back of all time.

    He'll always be that guy who broke a pool cue over Bob Skinstadt's knee.

    • @rh5466

      Did that really happen? Details please.

    • @mjribes
      @mjribes 6 лет назад

      muntu It was never publicly confirmed, but Skinstad suffered a knee injury the same weekend that he and Marshall got into an altercation in a pub after a Stormers vs Crusaders game in Cape Town. I think it was back in 1999. The official version of the story was that Skinstad got into a car accident on the way home (or something to that affect), but others say that Marshall hit him in the leg during the fight.
      If you Google "Bobby Skinstad Justin Marshall" you'll probably get find a few pieces that talk about that incident.

    • @youtubearchive3668

      Lol what a crock, I guess they faked the police reports of the crash too?

    • @mjribes
      @mjribes 6 лет назад +1

      Culture Bearer You've seen the police reports?

    • @youtubearchive3668
      @youtubearchive3668 6 лет назад

      It was reported that the police let Skinstad off for drunk driving and crashing his car, ie they ignored the offence, for sporting reasons I guess.
