My firestick Bluetooth is not showing and fire stick displaying pair remote screen but Bluetooth is not working to pair with remote I want to know which ic or chip is Bluetooth chip in that
This did not solve my problem, but it did make me laugh. It reminded me of the old commercial about asking Mr. Owl how many licks to the center of a tootsie roll pop. He licked 3 times, gave up and bit it and declared the answer to be 3.
Your funny. I read toothpaste makes a good temporary heatsync so I am guessing that its toothpaste because it looks like toothpaste. Or it could be blue thermal putty.
I've been looking all over for a way to fix the USB port on my fire stick that was warped due to overheating. This didn't help but it did make me laugh. Thanx :)
firestick not booting up nothing just black screen no amazon logo showing up . ive looked at the pins and some look missing but not sure if I can get it repaired
Hi. That sounds annoying. Will the device reset? You can reset from the remote. Press and hold the Select and Play/Pause buttons at the same time, for about five seconds. If you get no luck with that have a look at this link which details some possible solutions. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html?nodeId=202154650
Susie Bruce did you get it working? Sometimes it's the power source. If you use the USB in the TV it might not be enough current to keep the stick on. Try using the wall plug
Thanks ummm I got really mad and I yanked out my firestick and I bent the front part it still works but the remote keeps on making a buzzing noise if I put it up to my ear
Great video! As it happens my fire stick has broken, but not due to any maltreatment, luckily there quite reasonable to replace :) thanks Jeff and Frankie! :)
Thanks! I am sure if you had the skills you could solder the micro USB connector back on but as you say they are cheap so it's not really worth the effort. Still it was fun to take to bits! But why is it full of putty?!

They are heat pads

Playback speed x2. Still wasted 1 minute and 45 secs of my life.

I think thermal putty is a distict posibility!

If it stops working you might want to consider the Roku Express. A nice Firestick alternative we should be looking at soon.
I know this is 6 years ago yes it could have been fixed far right two dots first one 5 volt positive on the port far left is ground
It may have worked good when someone tossed it. They may have got a better and faster Android telly box and just tossed it beside the road.
Possibly, although it still had some of the (smashed) packaging with it. The remote still had the shrink wrap round it!

Funny.
the answer is no YOU cant, but many others can enough enough, would soldering iron would have fixed that in 7 seconds
Very true. I sadly do not have the soldering skills for that. I am sure it would have been the work of but a moment for many, but not for me.
The answer is yes just squash the USB port back into shape.
Ben heck could
Undoubtedly.
Get a new port and solder it on.
I currently don't have the soldering skills for that I really should get into it though. The idea of playing around with molten metal is appealing.
