the floors aren't hardwood. it's distressed timber look lino. I have the same at my place. it's kinda rubbery and really durable. that wouldn't have done ant damage to it.

2:16 he dropped it so the rubber handle would hit first, taking the brunt of the impact and absorbing most of it thanks to the elasticity or the rubber...it then fell sideways, so the impact of the metal part of the hammer on the hardwood was negligible...it probably didn't even leave a visible mark.

These intros never get old
Matt, when you use media like sand, dirt or kitty litter to catch rounds, buy a metal detecting pin-pointer to find your bullets inside the media. It’s an old trick we use to find coins, jewelry and relics out of sand and broken dirt where we’ve dug. Refer to The Hoover Boys on RUclips to see the proper use of a pinpointer.
An archeologist one day is going to think he discovered a battlefield on Matt's property.
