Sony should sponsor this video and use it for their promos when they FINALLY release it stateside. By far your vlog has done the Xperia justice.haha I'm not a Sony Xperia fan but the footage...😍
@@pixels_per_inch its obviously not the full potential of the camera..he was vlogging casually, on a vacation, with maximum time on auto mode.. obviously not the full potential we can get out of the camera..
@@sourangshusarkar5943 @Pixels Exactly. I believe that this is a good representation for what most people will use it for in most scenarios in their day to day life. Granted the have the extra cash for the vlog monitor. The other video had some beautiful footage as well. Phone cameras have come a very long way in such a short time...
If this is what Sony is able to do on full auto for video then this may be the phone for me. The footage came out very nice and knowing that for anything specific I could get the exact settings I want is a great marriage. I feel you on the photo side of things as you do tend to have to edit the photos in post like you would a real camera on Sony phones but this is very promising. Also the location is just gorgeous!
The output looks great! Thank you for sharing your experience. Your trip looked like a blast. I'm looking forward to getting my Xperia 1 iv in September.
Sony has really outdone themselves with the mark IV. I really do believe that in a generation or two (maybe the Xperia 1 mark V or VI) Sony is going to have one hell of a camera system on their phones.
Wow I'm genuinely impressed with the video quality even in its final prototypes phase. The one that strikes me most is how the 4K 120fps maintains the details of the trees when you went island hopping. And the waves looks genuinely crisp and full of life. I definitely should consider this to be my next device but ofc I'm gonna need to get some price discounts.
The shots are so so good. I mean, tell me this is straight from an actual vlogging camera and I'd believe you. I kinda get why Sony priced it a bit on the expensive side.
This is truely amazing really!!! I am watching this video at my Sony tv with 4Khdr screen look so amazing! I cant believe this quality images produce by the smartphone...

Dude, there's soo much to love about this video and yours in general. Soo awesome to come on a little trip with you guys while getting the down-low too. Makes isolation much more sunny! I think the Video sharpness from the Sony could be improved as compared to other systems I've used. The Sony sensor on my Razer Phone 2 seems to focus a bit better unless I'm completely tripping here. The Xperia I think I noticed a few artifacts like the sensor was still computing and it wasn't sharp all through the frame. Makes it difficult as the scene would be constantly changing in a video. Not the case with stills ofc. Cannot wait for your next one with the phone to see more in studio settings! Thank you
Awesome video. Boracay looks amazing. I'll be getting the 1iv as well in a few weeks. Really looking forward to it. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the video you captured.
Holy sh*it this is good. I vlogged my Norway trip with my Google Pixel 6 Pro and I think it did a pretty good job. But seeing this footage makes me think this is even better. It's basically a Sony ZV-1 in a phone.
Good way to showcase the Sony Xperia 1 IV while having a vacation in a tropical island here in the Philippines. Great to see you consider Boracay as one of your favorite destinations ever (makes me warm and fuzzy). Keep up the good work Josh.
This video looked amazing on my Sony Xperia 1 (MK1) screen, it's a tempting upgrade if it wasn't so expensive, but Sony needs to improve their software support. two years of support is just not good enough these days...
Awesome vlog. The location looks amazing and I see you had lots of fun. It's surprising that nowadays such a small device can capture such great footage, really impressive 4k 120fps on All lenses. Looks like a great option for a super lightweight setup. Keep them vlog real world test coming, looking forward to seeing more
Good times need good gear. Beautiful location to showcase the capabilities of Sony Xperia 1 IV. The video looks natural and not overly processed like from iPhones. Sony needs to make Xperias easily available on shops and telcos. Hope to visit Boracay soon!
Hey, I noticed that the 120 fps footage looked a lot sharper and overall more “professional camera like”, while a lot of the clips in normal fps were looking kinda bad to me, the sharpness wasn’t good and the exposure was pretty weird somehow. Was it because the 120 fps shots were done in the video pro app, and some of the normal fps clips were done in the basic camera app? Do you notice a difference between the footage from these two apps?
I actually do notice a bit of a difference, from the BASIC mode in Photo Pro that allows video capture to the Video Pro app -- the first batch of clips before I put the vlogging kit on were shot in BASIC
Is any phone perfect? No. It's all based on one's needs and wants. The Xperia 1 MK IV is an amazing tool for photographers and content creators that caters to that demographic. Personally, I would go for the Pro-i for the main sensor and the dual aperture but this device is a step forward from previous generations.
I didn't expect that Jason and Ate Marry Bautista was with you 🤩 I never see ate marry did any review about Sony devices hopefuly she will in the future. 😁 Nice review tho am a fan of Sony since then still have my Sony XA2 Ultra since 2018.

Since LG has been out from smartphone market, I've only been looking at Sony as my potential replacement and the new Xperia 1 IV is definitely on my radar. That said, I always prefer smaller phones, so I'll wait for Xperia 5 IV.
@@inSaNe_44 It's not released yet. It could be possible that Sony will announce the Xperia 5 IV some time in Q3, as they did before with the Xperia 5 and Xperia 5 II.
