- The Leica V-LUX (Typ 114) Digital Camera is an advanced point-and-shoot digital camera with the form factor of a DSLR. It has a 20MP, 1" MOS sensor, a 16x zoom lens, and UHD 4K video capability.
The built-in, DC Vario-Elmarit, 9.1-146mm f/2.8-4.0 ASPH lens has a 35mm equivalent focal length of 25-400mm. Optical Image Stabilization helps minimize the appearance of camera shake, resulting in sharper images, and 4x digital zoom and 32x intelligent zoom provide the lens with an extended focal range. The moderately fast aperture, combined with a native sensitivity range of ISO 120-12500 allow the lens to perform in situations with low light.
The V-LUX captures high-quality MP4 video files in resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 UHD 4K, and a built-in microphone can record stereo audio while recording video.
A 3", 920k-dot, rotatable, LCD screen on the camera enables photo review and menu navigation, and a 0.39", OLED, 2,360k-dot, electronic viewfinder allows for accurate composition. Built-in Wi-Fi and NFC allow for instant image sharing and remote control via the Image Shuttle App.

I am confused between this one and canon 70D/80D likes. can you please help?

"Any photographers reviewing this camera as 4 or 5 stars do not sell their images for a living..If you are on a budget buy the Panasonic FZ 1000, it's the same camera for $500 less. I have used this camera for about 2 months under all conditions, from weddings to surf photography. This is a great travel camera and that should be the reason to buy it; and by the way, the weather should not include rain or snow on your travels. This camera is not weather resistant, even to fog since the lens retracts back into the camera body. The body fits great in your hand but it still feels like plastic. It is great for portraits and will ,manually, high speed sync with your $100 Yongnuo 568 flash or TTL with High Speed Sync with a $150 Metz Mecablitz Flash. I use Sony A7's for my professional work and the EVF on this Leica does not come close to the Sony EVF, even with the same resolution; however, if you have never had a EVF you will be pleased with it. You cannot manually focus the lens in a professional situation due to it being electronic and the lag is way too slow. It advertises as 12 FPS continuous; however that is misleading because it only shoots 12 FPS with single focus turned on. In Cont Focus it shoots about 4- 5 FPS. The 50 FPS is single focus at 8MP and your are better off pulling 8mp stills off the 4K because the IS is deactivated and all photos that I have taken at this speed suck.The lens is only sharp up to about it's 200mm equivalent, after that it is very soft and the shadows unusable. It does not help to stop it down. It's only 2.8 at 25mm! and then goes to 3.5. At about 170mm you reach 4.0. You cannot crop a 300 or 400 image at all, it just looks like crap. The buffer is terrible. It only takes about 12 JPEG/RAW images before the buffer fill up on a fast SDHC card. and then takes a minute to clear the buffer. So what good is the 12 fps??? With the 4K video you have no control over aperture or shutter speed so you have no chance at being creative with it. This is a nice travel camera for a hobbyist willing to work within it's constraints."

Well ofcourse one the main difference about this Leica Vlux type 114 is you cannot change any lenses, then the canon 70d and 80d does.
I like the leica vlux for travel only.

Grabe 6 years old na pero papalag pa naman sa spec's 😱 4k, 60fps nako ang solid tas stabilize parang hindi naman sya 6 years old hahahaa may wifi na sa loob ang solid ng photo at video specially sa zoom .. parang di talaga 6 years old solid
4k/30 lang lods haha sa 1080p yung 60fps 😊 pero solid pa din kahit na ganun hehe

I had one low light photography sux .. video sux . Other than that I have took some pix with this camera my a73 is nothing compared to the quality of the image's
