    Don't let the kids beginners for rookies fool you, this is one of the best KIA videos I've ever seen and way beyond the rookie level, but delightfully so. Amusingly though, the usual gang of kids are completely silent in this one, as their jaws are hanging open the whole way lol.

      He meant it's for beginners, because the idea is similar in many position, so it's easier to understand than dealing with a couple of other openings.

    doesn't it work with e4 e5???????????????

    • @mysticseven6578
      @mysticseven6578 5 месяцев назад

      It does (work with e4 e5). White’s kingside attack happens a bit differently. On youtube, lookup the king’s indian attack series by GM Aman Hambleton (Chessbrah) for more sample games. As Aman continues through that series and faces higher rated opponents, he goes from (below 1000 ELO) demonstrating how to grab free pieces to (1200 TO 1600 ELO) demonstrating the kingside attack plan against a basic setups like black having pawns on e5, d5, c7, & Knights on c6 and f6, to (1600+ ELO) fighting against Caro & Sicilian setups as described here.

    The title of this mentions that it's for beginners... All of the analysis in here does not deal with the most common reply to 1.e4 of 1...e5. This makes the analysis of the games in here not very practical for beginners, since the games don't follow how most beginner games start.

    • @Bustical
      @Bustical 4 года назад +2

      This is a video on the KIA, which the title clearly mentions
      Also you could always play 1.Nf3 and transpose

    • @DaydreamVacations
      @DaydreamVacations 4 года назад

      Kings Indian Attack does not play against 1. ... e5. Only Sicilian, French, Cato Kann, etc. Against e5 White must choose something else like Italian or Spanish game.

    • @alijradi4794
      @alijradi4794 3 года назад +4

      @@DaydreamVacations that's wrong, the KIA can be played after e4 e5, white can play d3 and then you can easily play the opening depending on black's response.

    This is NOT for beginners. Just throwing out variations is bad and not explaining the basic ideas is horrible. How does a beginner know d4 is tipical, for example? Why does black play c5? Etc. Check out Akobian's lectures to see how it is done with kids. Sry, Dariusz.

    Great lecture but you neglect to tell us what to do when black responds with 1...e5. Seems very obvious to me to offer suggestions just in case.

    • @nghariad1312
      @nghariad1312 3 года назад +3

      They don't recommend playing KIA when black plays e5. Normally you go to another opening such as Ruy Lopez

  • @daithi1966
    @daithi1966 Год назад

    It's a great opening, but a horrible explanation of the opening, especially if the explanation is aimed at kids as the video's title implies.
