    97 % accuracy by Fischer at 14 years of age without any engine help just amazing this is one of the many reasons I consider him the best

      whats crazy is that cardoso only had inaccuracies, no major blunders, and 90% accuracy is solid play...and fischer just absolutely wiped the floor with him

    Fischer was so strong tactically at such a young age, you can see future world champion written all over this game. Perfect play by Fischer easily at the level of any chess player today.

    Great game; superb analysis. Will remember e4 unsupported by a major piece is a tactical shot when Black has same set up as here, ie, d5/e6/Bf5, Bd6/Nf6.

      I am not clear on Jerry’s reply to @TymexComputing about 8 Ne5 in response to 7…dxe4 ? Is it a blunder or not after 8… Bxe5? Stockfish says yes, unless I am reading the evaluation wrong. Jerry saying “ See top/ pinned comment “ is too cryptic for me . Thank you. Sorry I am so obtuse.

      @@tompagano9015 Jerry at that time at the board was referring to a position where black bishop is also (but only) at e7 not on d6 :), on the board the bishop was visible at d6 but jerry didnt have it in mind - it was at e7 in the variation ;)

    Jerry, your gift to viewers is Chessmanna, while others mostly promote Chessmania, for chesszinging. Including the scribble, is like Bibble, for starters and stars, however few spew the clues in the stew we all hunger for when sitting at our putes learner how to compute the refusals in perusal. So, fully sated, and happy not having to tape cause you vaped and did not gape like the 800 apes! I will play , KIA or how you say A07-A08!

      Losing tempo in the opening does matter a lot in this game. It might not be straight up blunder a piece or tactic overlook, but these inaccuracies add up and can be taken advantage of.

    Im a Filipino at that time Philippines is in a world stage of chess Eugene Torre has the highest achievement in chess playing Fischer tal Kasparov Karpov and now Wesley so is in the top level Filipino playing carlsen ding naka and other top player right now. And this two players have a good score of ther respective opponent.

    Why would the knight jymp to e5? That's a free piece? Bxe5. Then I'm guessing xe4. You still have time to defend the rook and move your bishop?

      ​@selenasilverstep7981 That's not relevant to the issue at hand, which is that white is dropping a knight from Bxe5 in Jerry's line in an effort to recapture a pawn.
      I'm assuming the correct line was supposed to be knight h4 or something to attack e4 and if Bg4 Qe1 with the idea mentioned that e4 is pinned by the bishop. Anyway it definitely wasn't explained.

      this is a hypothetical line, Jerry showing that you can still play d4 IF THE BISHOP WAS ON E SEVEN.
