Two weeks after Fischer's sensational 6-0 shutout streak in the Fischer - Taimanov Candidates Quarterfinal (1971), at Vancouver, he met at Temple Buell College, Denver, Colorado USA to play a 10-game candidates match against Bent Larsen starting on July 6, 1971. Larsen had qualified from the Larsen - Uhlmann Candidates Quarterfinal (1971). Fischer said to a reporter before the match: "Been traveling for a year, match to match. I need a personal life. I'm not as narrow as some people think, you know. But right now all I think of is the world championship. Chess is my whole life" ... "(Larsen)'s good. But I think I'm the best around. I don't say that to brag. I think it's true. I love the game - and I hate the Russians because they've almost ruined it. They only risk the title when they have to, every three years. They play for draws with each other but play to win against the Western masters. Draws make for dull chess, wins make for fighting chess." (1)
And fighting chess is what Fischer delivered. After six consecutive wins he dispensed with Denmark's best, repeating another amazing 6-0 performance. Preparing to face Boris Spassky in a World Championship match, he would first meet the winner of the Petrosian - Korchnoi Candidates Semifinal (1971). This turned out to be Petrosian, hence the Fischer - Petrosian Candidates Final (1971).

I would like to inform everyone that I impressed a girl with my vast (not that vast really) knowledge of Bobby Fischer's run to the chess world championship two days ago at a party. The meme magic is real. Thank you very much agadmator.

...and it was in this position that the party resigned the game. Why did it resign? Well, the most exciting topic ended up being a debate on whether or not 1.e4 has been refuted by modern chess AI's.

A change I'd like to see YouTUBE make its to require complaints to specify exactly where and what is alleged to be a ToS violation and for that info to be provided to the channel owner. It's very frustrating when your channel is blocked for strikes when very little information is provided about the alleged offense.
#suggestion: Antonio, could I suggest that you open an Agadmator Blog channel as a means of being able to communicate with your community if you should happen to get 2 strikes on the chess channel. It worked out well for Cody at Cody's Lab.

Due to it's altitude, the thin air can cause a temporary illness not unlike losing four games in a row to Robert James Fischer and knowing you have two more to go. Welcome back, Antonio.

A different way to win at 9:43! After White plays 1.Kh1 Black can simply play 1... Qxg2+ 2.Bxg2 Bxd3 and Black is simply winning since White can't prevent f4-f3

On move 9 or 10 of the King's Indian Defense, Black moves the f6-knight to d7, or e8, or h5. What are the factors that determine which of these is the correct square?

The best way to prepare for a chess tournament: Watch a Bobby Fischer game by Agadmator. Or Mikhail Tal game by Agadmator.

After you said the rook would be misplaced, I thought BxNf5 would be good. If B recaptures, then Rxa6 and white has a threat. If R recaptures, then Rxd6 would start to unravel white's position. While it's true white no longer has a B guarding g2, black no longer has that pesky night that came to h4.

After watching Tiamanov play, Larson seems like a IM. I only picked up on this now that I have improved in chess and this is probably the 3rd time I've watched this series. Larson's moves just are no where near as good as Tiamanov. I remember people talking about this from the last 2 views but WOW I really see it now for some reason.
