This is a poll. For future videos, would you like the game to progress more quickly (less commentary & alternative variations, backstory etc) , do you like the video as is, or would you like more commentary/variations? Also let me know your chess rating if you have one anywhere.
I enjoy the commentary as it is currently. I like the backstory. It reminds me of how RUclips channels like Veritasium talk about the history to accompany whatever science they are talking about. It helps to prime the mind somewhat. I think its a nice touch.
I can get chess analysis/commentary from any number of sources.. The context, history, and stories are why I watch and subscribe. Oh, and of course, the awesome sunglasses.
I play a lot of really bad openings because you can easily know them better than your opponent. After his defeat Fischer of course made an effort to know all aspects of the kings gambit - in ways only Fischer could. The black f4 pawn would eventually fall then change into the bishop and queen lined up and the h rook would join the tip of that line then move into the stack on f. The stack only served to force trade. He probably had the position with the h pawn baiting the queen on the board at home. Ending with a stack on the f line was a real tribute to kings gambit. An opening I will never play...NEVER..... haha....

Spassky was simply brilliant between 1960 and 1970. As for Larry Evans, his contribution towards Fischer's success was immense. Lomabardy too.
Fischer only refuted 3. Nf3, but he played 3. Bc4.
Later in his career Fischer employed the KG and won!
Fischer had hopes for the Bc4 line of the kings gambit. He wasnt wrong either. This opening is what judit polgar used early in her career with success

Why the mirrors?
By far, the most boring chess channel!
I really like it because of the informational backstories. Each to their own. I would just not watch if I were you.
