Wei Yi punishes PAWN PUSHER in the French, Tarrasch

- This is a chess game between Wei Yi and Bedri Sadiku from the 2016 Chess Olympiad. Wei Yi chooses the Tarrasch variation in the French Defense and quickly develops his kingside. Meanwhile, Sadiku pushes an excessive number of pawns on the queenside, hoping to establish a long-term static advantage. With Wei Yi significantly better developed by move 10, he sacrifices some material to open lines, allowing his pieces to quickly spring to action and force resignation after only 19 moves.

Your content has been super consistent recently, Jerry. My fav chess teacher. Hope all is well
Thank you for watching 👍😎
One move away from another game😂😂😂
Another opening where this is especially true is the Nimzo-Indian Defense, Kmoch-Sämisch Variation with 4. f3. That opening is especially greedy with a lot of pawn pushes, and Black can exploit it to extreme effect. I'm currently making a Chessable course on a specific variation against the Kmoch-Sämisch Variation as Black with similar ideas.
One of the best explanation vids I've seen. Not rushed like many do.
Thank you for the compliment Tyler. 👍
Wei Yi is an absolute beast. I wonder how far ahead he calculated when he sacced the knight?
Wouldn't surprise me if he'd seen the final position
I'm about 1800 and the sacrifice seemed intuitive to me. He may not have calculated at all and just gone with his gut.
@@abebuckingham8198yes it's intuitive but he's still a gm. he definitely calculated till Bb5+ at the very least
Very informative video. I really struggle with pawn pushers. Beautiful finish.
Wei Yi is one of my favorites. He plays exciting, great chess. He’s completely unafraid. When he’s on, he’s one of the very best.
What a game! Thanks for your artful presentation.
Well covered. Great video. Really enjoyed all the multiple ways of finishing that game.
BEST TEACHER BY MILES... SALUTE TO YOU SIR!!!!!!
Jerry. You have blessed us with another absolute banger
Nice game, and well explained, every game you feature. You have a good, soothing voice.

Thank you 😎
Instructive game, thanks 👍
Very nice analysis.
Great video, nice opening
Thanks
Be8! What a move
VERY NICE GAME ~!
Look, I did my best.
Wei Yi is just too good.
6:52 Not "bishop to e7", but "bishop to e6".
Right 👍
14:03 I didn't see the Be8 move
several lessons for beginners also!
Hi Jerry.
Way yeet
At turn 14, why didnt black play Nd7? Sure it pins yet another one of black pieces, but it also defends the rook at a8, so if white next plays Ne5 to put pressure on the pinned knight black would be simply able to play Bxb6
Nd7 removes a defender from the a6 Bishop and white can just play Bxa6 right after, winning a piece
@@yuyue605 oh duhh, yes i should have seen that,, thanks!
Do you understand what are you saying
Pawn pushers are the worst kind of noobs.
